Ms Ajibola, 21, cried and recited a verse from the Koran when her name was called as the winner. She was awarded 25m rupiah ($2,200, £1,360, N350,000) and trips to Mecca and India. She had said in an interview before she won that she was just trying "to show the world that Islam is beautiful". |

The International Olympic Committee a while ago announced Tokyo, Japan as the hosts for 2020 Olympic Games. Merely looking at "2020", Nigeria immediately flashed my mind, with all the hype about Vision 20: 2020. The Vision is that Nigeria should be among the 20 leading nations of the world by the year 2020. Why did Nigeria not bid for Abuja to host 2020 Olympic Games? It would have been enough impetus for the government to work hard on infrastructure. Just my mind. What is your view on this? |
Please, my people on Nairaland, I have been having challenges on using my Yahoo! email account. The login page says "Invalid ID or Password: Please try again using your full Yahoo! ID". I have done this many times. I have also used "I can't access my account" to get help and the system keeps showing "The security code you entered wasn't correct". I have tried different codes and it has not opened. A friend of mine noticed this some days ago and we thought it could be because he was using his phone to check his mails and it could be conflicting with his ID on laptop. Please if anyone has overcome this challenge recently, let him/her share the experience on how it was resolved. |

Chelsea fans said they would continue to boo new interim coach Rafael Benitez until end of the season. My question is, what would the fans achieve with such hostile attitude? Will it not constitute distraction to the players as well? Will it not frustrate Abramovich the more? My candid take is that the fans should learn to let go of the past and live in the present. Now is a good opportunity for the club to start rebuilding, and all hands need to be on the table, working towards a better future. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20495520 http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/20490257 |
CPC should force DSTV to buy all the necessary equipment to implement Pay-as-you-go. They have made a lot of money from Nigerians. I have paid for many channels I don't need and for me to get those I need I keep paying higher. It is not done in other parts of the world. Our regulators should really wake up and stand on the side of the people. Before CPC could make suggestion of this type, they must done enough checks and know it is possible in Nigeria. |
If you say so, my apology. I only asked a question, not to mislead anyone,. It is not a statement. Still expecting answers, please. |
@Sagytarius. Thank you, I actually read it well before posting for additional information. Note that I wrote "Apart from items to be won"... |
I just read on the link below, about a new Dstv promo. It is called "Biggest promo ever" but I could not see what is offered to existing subscribers. Apart from items to be won, nothing was said about reduction on monthly tariff. How do they expect people to continue using their service when other new companies are introducing alternatives? Does anyone have any additional information on this, please? Source:http://www.thisdaylive.com/articles/dstv-inaugurates-biggest-promo-ever/130963/ |
