BusinessSellbeta Now A Fast Growing Online Marketplace In Nigeria by Blogger007(op): 4:29pm On Jun 05, 2020
Sellbeta is the online version of Nigeria local marketplaces which allows traders to make sales sitting right at home without an office. They company has won the heart of traders and buyers in a short time of existence.

Sellbeta.com has not been around a bit longer than its now larger competitors like Jiji and Jumia, but it has gained traction in just a short period of time and has become a frequent trade spot for lots of Nigerians. It has a high potential for brand exposure due to the more limited number of items that go on display per time, putting your brand/products in a better spot for potential customers.

The idea behind Sellbeta is simple, put up your products or services on the Sellbeta website and get contacted for purchase and jobs, the same as most of the other businesses on this list, only difference is, the brand hasn’t achieved the right status as of now, so you can reach a specific market target on Sellbeta, just be sure of the audience you are targeting, and make sure you’re pulling them in.
CelebritiesMan Beaten For Shooting Arrows At Protesters, Car Burned (video) by Blogger007(op): 7:27pm On May 31, 2020
A man who started firing arrows at protesters in Utah this weekend, got more than he bargained for as he got beaten and also lost his car.

The incident occurred in Salt Lake City on Saturday May 30, during a protest against the killing of George Floyd.

The man who has been identified as Brandon McCormick emerged from his vehicle with a hunting bow which he brandished towards the crowd and also threatened to shoot them with. After a brief conversation with one of the protesters who asked him “if he’s serious and considers himself American”, he started shooting at the crowd.

This irked the crowd who swarmed around him and started beating him up. KSLTV reported that SLC police officers managed to pull the man away from the crowd and detain him. It was reportedly at this time the crowd began smashing his car windows and flipping it over before setting it on fire.

When interviewed after the counter-attack by the protesters, the man claimed that he was beaten by two “black African American men” for screaming “all lives matter”. McCormick who gave a much different account after the incident which was captured on video, said;

“First, I got beat up when I yelled ‘All Lives Matter.’ Then I pulled out weapons and I got beat up some more. The cops grabbed me and my car got totaled … I lost everything, coming down here to try to protect [officers] with what weapons I had … I back up the law enforcement. I know some cops are bad. I know some people are racists are bad.”

Here is also a video of him swinging a knife and yelling “all lives matter” before his face-off with the protesters.

As of late Saturday, McCormick has not been charged by the police. It is unclear if anyone who confronted him or vandalized his car was arrested. According to his Facebook page, McCormick is a native of Barstow, California. His Facebook page includes several extreme posts about Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton.

The COVID-19 pandemic of 2020 is affecting every aspect of our lives, including the way we shop and the things we buy. The nationwide lockdown has caused us to limit our spending on certain product categories, while other categories are truly booming right now. Here are 10 products in high demand right now!

Shop your favourite products with the lowest prices on SellBeta.com

1. Laptops
By the time the coronavirus hit Nigeria, we were already depending on computers for a lot of work, communication, and entertainment. Now that most of us are stuck at home, with millions of people working remotely, the demand for laptops has understandably skyrocketed, especially in households that used to only own one computer – right now, it’s nearly impossible to share it fairly!

2. Internet Modems
Internet modems remain one of the most popular ways to access the web when you are at home. Their biggest advantage is that you can connect multiple devices to just one modem instead of using expensive mobile data or sacrificing the speed of your internet connection.

3. Baking Supplies
For many Nigerians, baking used to be nothing more than a hobby, with millions of citizens refusing to bake altogether, preferring to buy bread and other baked goods in stores and markets. Since the beginning of the lockdown, there has been a significant shift in the number of bakers, and people are rushing to buy mixers, mixing bowls, baking moulds and trays, and other items for quality home baking.

4. Hair Clippers
One of the most noticeable effects of the lockdown is the shutdown of hair salons and the inability of home-based hairdressers to deliver their services. Men who cannot access professional hair cutting services are forced to either clip their own hair or ask their wives to do it, and a good pair of hair clippers is the first item you’ll need for a home haircutting session.

5. Freezers
Freezers have been one of the most useful home devices for as long as they have existed, but many Nigerian families considered the cost of a freezer too high to justify the purchase. Now, however, freezers have even more importance for a typical household: with limited trips to the stores and markets, freezers allow you to keep food fresh for a longer time.

6. Office Chairs
If you only rarely worked from home in the past, you probably weren’t too concerned about your workplace: even working from your sofa feels fine when it’s only for a day or two. However, when you have to do it every day for months, you will definitely want to invest in a comfy chair that won’t kill your back after a whole day of work.

7. Board Games
Before the pandemic, board games felt like a luxury for people who had lots of free time. Now that most of us have more free time than we could ever wish for, board games are having a renaissance. There is a perfect board game for every age group, family, budget, and personality, and the good news is the market is very diverse today.

8. Gardening Supplies
Gardening has already been a popular hobby before the COVID-19 pandemic, and it has only become more significant now that we don’t go to the markets as much as we used to. If you have a garden, you can grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, and even if you don’t, there are plenty of herbs and vegetables you can grow in your own room.

9. Fitness Tools
Whether you have been an active member of your local gym before the lockdown or you simply want to keep fit while your movements are limited, there are plenty of sporting goods such as yoga mats and dumbbells you can buy for home use that will allow you to remain physically active even when you’re at home.

10. Hand Sanitizers
Cleansing your hands remains one of the most popular ways of preventing the spread of the coronavirus and there has been a shortage of hand sanitizers ever since the pandemic started. There are plenty of guides on how to make your own effective hand sanitizers, but some people still prefer to buy them instead of resorting to DIY.

How to make money from Sellbeta Nigeria
Buy and sell used cars
You can get good deals on cars on Sellbeta especially if the cars are used vehicles. I know a young man who makes about N200,000 using this platform every month.

What does he do? He searches for good deals on used cars, when he gets cars that are very cheap. He buys them and resell at good profit.

The trick is to look out for cars advertised on the platform, if you spot anyone with a price below the market value. Research about the authenticity and buy. You can then quickly sell at profit.

Toyota cars are especially very good and marketable cars.

Buy and sell smart phones
Nigerians especially the young ones are very crazy about smart phones. Ask a young woman out in Nigeria, there are chances that the first thing she will ask you to get for her is a smart phone.

Nigerians also love buying used smart phones because the cost of new ones is very high. This is an opportunity for a savvy businessman.

Just go on this online platform, search for cheap smart phones, check the authenticity, buy and resell. You can even resell on Sellbeta and make profit. You can also resell the smart phones in your store or on other online platforms like Jumia and Konga.

Buy and sell laptops
Like smart phones, people like to own laptops and tablets. You are likely to get these gadgets at rock bottom prices on Sellbeta.

If you are a businessman, you can quickly resell to other people and make profit. This is similar to arbitrage.

You can buy laptops and tablets and go to popular markets like Computer Village, Lagos to resell.

Buy and sell shoes
You can get really cheap and nice shoes on Sellbeta Nigeria, you just need to search through the portal and buy the ones you feel you can sell at profit.

I know a number of women who buy shoes on this portal, only for them to resell at good prices.

Buy and sell clothes
You can also buy both new and used clothes on this online portal. You need to know the prevailing prices of the types of clothes you want to buy. This will guide you to pick the clothes that are very cheap.

Scrape data from Sellbeta
Sellbeta is data rich. You can scrape a lot of information and data from it for research and business purposes. A friend of mine scrapes product prices from this website and sells to people at good prices.

How to guard yourself against scams on Sellbeta

It is always better to buy products listed by people in your area or location. Try to arrange for a public location to see the seller. Do not arrange to see the seller or buyer in a hidden location for security purposes.

Never pay before seeing what you want to buy

Use commonsense, if a product seems too cheap or too good to be true, do not continue talking with the seller. Do not continue with the transaction.

Do not give out your banking or financial information to a person you do not know. It can be very risky. Your financial information can be used by unscrupulous people to defraud you.

Do not be too eager to pay for any product. Scammers tend to be always in a hurry, a simple delay tactics can save you from scam.

Yes, you can make good money from Sellbeta monthly, you just need to be smart and know what you are doing.
