@Ifara, if you are still on the buy position on Nzd-Usd I will advise that you be extremely careful of the 0.8290 level that the market is currently sitting under. There are several layers of resistance there that is likely to send prices back down. I will advise you trail your stop loss up and tighter or better still, take your profit there now. Just my opinion.

@Odiaero, Yeah, that is very true. I remember when you gave one of your FXDD trading account login details on NL for us to confirm your claims of managing a $1m. What I can remember is that the number of zeroes that followed after d first digit got my head spinning!

@Swiftz, as Odiaero has pointed out, fxpro is a good choice, but I want to add that if you are going to be settling with price action as your core trading method, then I will advise that you go with FXDD; that is what I've been using and no complains till now. The choice is totally yours!

@Ifara, Nice one bro. It is good to see that you are learning pretty good, but be sure to secure profits with your SL as you are going counter-trend.

naijababe:
I love you ECB grin grin, my EJ trade finally moved, would be absolutely glorious if the Chinese complete the move for me cheesy.

kashif, i hope you are watching the DOW? It made Naijababe very happy this week, I opened my position on the DOW on Monday evening at 10850 with a 50 pips risk, it closed at 11320 earlier this afternoon; currently at 11400 but i aint complaining grin. I took a sell on gold at 1820 yesterday too and banked 400 outta that one and my EJ is still running. I'll close on Friday evening if it does not get to my preferred target of 109.00. Shop closed for the week grin grin grin

Catch up with y'all later cool
Nice one dear. I am happy for you O! At least it is good to know that while i lost some $$ from Gold you gained some tongue. See hammering!!! Congrats!
BusinessRe: Forex Trade Alerts - Season 2 by Blogicon1(m): 7:08am On Sep 16, 2011
@Swiftz 2 things are possible here

1. Just like Aguiyi has pointed out, you might not be factoring in your spread into your trade position. Normally, you should give an allowance of about 5 pips to your TP (at least that is the way I trick it out).

I.e if your TP was suppose to be placed at 1.205, you rather place it at 1.200 so that it gets hit before getting to 1.205 cos what happens in most cases is that once it (barely) touches the 1.205 level, it will bounce off very quickly especially when/if the level is a significant level of S or R.

2. Your placement of TP may be wrong (possibly too far and illogical). The tried and tested way to place a TP (in case you might not know) is to place at the next level of significant resistance (in a buy position) or at the next level of support (in a sell trade); remembering to give some 5 pips allowance to the TP level as i pointed out in case 1 above.

That is it. I hope this helps you in some way. Take care and have a nice day.

The hardest part of being a trader is taking losses, but it is inevitable in this ever humbling biz of fx. Please if you took the Gold trade with me, come out with a loss of 150 pips right away. Sorry for the loss. Thanks.
BusinessRe: Forex Trade Alerts - Season 2 by Blogicon1(m): 9:31am On Sep 14, 2011
@Naijababe, thanks for the headsup. Your point is well noted, but I'm already long the pair. No problems if we get stopped out cos then we will have a better entry with a nice risk:reward when/if it goes down. Thanks again and have a nice day.
BusinessRe: Forex Trade Alerts - Season 2 by Blogicon1(m): 12:08am On Sep 14, 2011
Good evening everyone, guess the day has been a great one!

I have a potentially lucrative buy trade opportunity on Gold pair. This is a 1:3 R:R trade with a stop loss of 300 pips (the use of position sizing will help with the large looking SL) and 900 pips TP. I have been silently following the movement of this pair for close to a week for the formation of a good entry into the uptrend, and I think the opportunity has just presented itself tonight.

The signal to go long is a bullish price bar rejection of the significant support level at 1816.67 region. This is a very good support which has been validated by holding prices on all attempts at it in the past. Look at my attached chart fro details. Just as I always warn, be sure to apply good money management on this and don't risk too much.

As is evident on my chart, I am already live on this order and hope to get filled before noon tomorrow. Good night!

Good morning everyone. This is to announce that our Nzd-Usd trade from last Thursday just hit our TP of approx 150 pips. If you took the trade call with me, congrats! It's on to the next one.

I want to use this time to stress the importance of discipline and patience as a trader. Even in a time when the market doesn't seem to want to give any trade signals, it is important that you sit and wait on the sidelines and wait instead of making up non-existent positions. Not every week is a trading week!

I also want to talk on interfering with our executed trade positions. When/once we execute a trade order, it is very wrong to interfere by shifting our SL or TP; if we didn't plan on doing that before the trade was entered. This is the easiest way to give in to emotions as we are not in the best state to make trading decisions while a trade is active. If you took profits earlier than the level I had in my call, you will understand what I am talking about.

That is it for now. Let us wait and watch for the next best setup. Until then, take care and safe trading. Loose responsibly!

@Swiftz, you are welcome. You are absolutely free to join the class. I have prepared and arranged everything in the course in an orderly manner in my autoresponder. When you join the class, each module (bullets) will be 'shot' @ you every 2 days interval; so that you have time to digest and practice what you've learned before moving to the next.

To join the class, send a blank email to "freefxtraining @ . com". Remove the quotes and the spaces around d @ symbol; I wrote it that way to circumvent the nuisance of the spambot. Waiting to see you on the inside! Welcome to the fold here!!

Thank God, the Nzd-Usd sell trade call I gave this time last night, had a very nice follow up; falling as much as 135 pips in the last 8 hours of trading but finally closed at 120 pips for the weekend.

For those who took this trade with me, if you have not already moved your stop loss to break even (i.e the entry price) please do so by market open on Sunday to secure the 120 pips that we have banked already. Till next week.

Have a great weekend!!

Good evening every one. I can see that the house is very busy here raking in pips.

Without much ado, I am dropping my 1st (and probably the only) trade for this week. The week has been slow with so many sharp and unidirectional movements; at least from my point of view. This trade in question is a 1:2.5 trade with a profit of 145 pips and stop of about 58 pips.

Just as I always do, I have put enough details on the attached chart below to explain the reason behind the trade call. Act according, but be warned on using strict money management. I am already live (on my pending order) and should get filled before morning.

Good night and have great trading day tomorrow to every one here! Loose responsibly!!

BusinessRe: Forex Trade Alerts - Season 2 by Blogicon1(m): 7:06am On Sep 06, 2011
HI there and good morning fellow traders. Just a little recap of my stands from Sunday.

Just as I suggested, the bears were very strong and didn't let prices go up. However, the 1.4089 level that I tipped to hold price failed in doing so. The next strong psych level/support to watch for a significant bullish reversal signal as the 1.4000 area which has held prices many times in the past. If we could get a clear bullish signal here, it would be a high probability one worth trading.

On the flip side, if the 1.4000 level gets broken, my bias would fully change to a bearish one, and I would then be looking for bearish candle stick formations to join the stronger down trend. Let us sit tight and watch.

An update to my Gold trade: it just hit its TP of 900 pips and is still poised to rise higher as currencies as the EUr and GBP weakens. The Silver trade is still running on a profit of 200 pips and should reach its TP of 290 pips before the end of day. All thanks goes to God Almighty for the great start of the week.

Until we get a good formation, take care and safe trading pals. Lose responsibly!

Hi there and good evening everyone. Just to wish every trader here a nice and fulfilled trading week to come. Here is also a little recap on how I am viewing the market this week.

The pairs I am looking at between market open and Tuesday are the Eur-Usd, Aud-Usd and the Nzd-Usd.

Eur-Usd
As for the Eur-Usd, I will first of all like to strongly advise those looking to long this pair at market open to wait a little while as the pair is yet to reach it's lower range in its present ranging condition between 1.4500 and 1.4090.

Watch and wait for the market to get to 1.4090 and then you can safely enter a long position pending bullish bias confirmations from your trading method. You stand the risk of being stopped out if you enter a buy now as price has good tendencies of reaching the said 1.4090 before going up.

Nzd-Usd
For the Nzd-Usd pair, the bulls have been riding their way, hopefully to eventually reach the all time high at 0.8840 after testing and showing a strong rejection of the 0.8000 psychological/support level on the daily chart. Just 2 days to market close, the pair seemed to have been catching its breath after 4 straight days of a significant up move.

A pretty strong support comes in at the 0.8360 level on the daily chart. Watch that level very closely for bullish setups based on your trading system to join the larger uptrend. Look closely at your 4hr and 1hr chart as price approaches that level; hopefully, my students sure know the type of candle stick formation to expect before going long wink

Aud-Usd
Aud-Usd also seems to be taking a short break from its 5 days long rally after bouncing off daily support at 1.0437. A good support level to watch for bullish setups to go long comes in at 1.0555. Watch your intra-day charts closely as market price gets close to that point.

These are the pairs that have potentially good setups, yet to form, that I am looking to take during the current trading week we are entering. If any obvious setups should form on any of the mentioned pairs, I would sure alert traders here. Although these are not exact market entries as many would like to see, but IMO this should help one or two traders out there make a better trading decision as market action unfolds during the week.

To everyone, have a green and nice trading week. Take care!

Wow, it feels good to be fully back to this thread. Try to catch up through the pages that has piled up since my exit.

The trading week has been good, all thanks to God. Apart from the Eur-Gbp trade position where I lost 30 pips, my Silver and Gold Positions yielded a total of 783 pips. So the net pips this week is 783 - 30 = 753 pips. Not bad at all for a "sickness" week!. As for those who took both my silver and eur-gbp trade call, that is a 173 pips gain for you guys.

The Silver and Gold trade entries haven't yet reached their TP level. Gold is poised to reach the 1.910 level (275 pips more) while Silver is to see 44.10 (87 pips more) before we expect any reversal.

I have decided to post up my Gold chart entry so that my students can see my point of entry and hopefully spot the signal that got me into the position. As an announcement too, I am currently working on the bullet 4 which should be available for download tomorrow.

Hi there and good day.  How is it going in d house? I am beginning to feel better. Thanks to all those that sent me mails to know how I was faring.

A potentially profitable buy position formed ystd on Eur-Gbp after New York close that I thought I'd share with the house. I have attached the well detailed chart showing exact entry and exit levels. This is a near 1:3 trade meaning that we would be smiling to bed with 3 times what we would risk on this position should it work as planned. In case it fails, apply good money management by risking what you can afford to loose.

Our Silver trade is running at the moment after it went down to retest our support one more time before rallying (hopefully). We should see much activity to the upside from the pair today. I have gone live on the EUR-GBP to make my second trade of the week; join me @ your own risk.

Good day and safe trading. As we normally say here, may the pips be with us.

Caveat: I am no magician and as such the trade setup I have posted can choose to fail. If you take this trade, you agree to do so at your own risk.you can afford to loose.

BusinessRe: Forex Trade Alerts - Season 2 by Blogicon1(m): 10:53pm On Aug 28, 2011
@umozez, currently, with my system, I can't see a clear cut direction for the EU pair. It has been very choppy of recent with lots of erratic up and down swings.

Since I trade exclusively the daily charts, the choppy movements don't speak much to me I can't really 'feel' it. But what I can see (and is certain) is that the pair has been clearly ranging between 1.4090 and  1.4550 price levels. There are 2 things to be done in this kind of market condidtion:

1. Wait for sell formations to occur at the ceiling (1.4550 price) level to go short.
2. Watch for a breakout of the ceiling level and take long positions on retest of the broken ceiling.

With that said, I would add that for price to make any strong directional moves, there would need to be a break-out from the current ranging condition. I hope this helps in a way. Safe trading.
