It is the same reason why christian leaders have never called out unknown gunmen, corrupt politicans that happen to be christian since 1999, and cults as well as violent gangs in the south. And millitants.

Nigerians prefer to call out evil that does not benefit them.
I don't agree with ur point. Even Christians are very quick to criticize even their priests if they fell they have strayed. That said, even on this forum, Christians continually show their hatred for unknown gunmen, cultists and other forms of gangs.

LOL...they do.

Bac in 2014, SLS , the then emir of Kano, now emir again, gave a speech where he blasted Boko Haram well well. He even went as far as calling on people to take up arms and defend themselves against Boko. That was on 17th november. On 28 November, Boko attacked the Kano central mosque in response

Vide BBC
That's just one instance. What about the clerics, celebrities, politicians etc.

I just feel like they hide behind a 'general descriptive term' to call them out

But I often wonder why Muslims don't condemn these bastardized sects.

They might say something like: any group of people who kills..... But they never mention the names of the groups while condemning them

A fool and his money are soon parted.

Nothing more, nothing less.

To think people like him have wives and children who probably see nothing wrong in such greed.

I'll disown my father or brother if he displays this type of greed.

I like the way dangote towed the path of law.
Not some musician and pastors and politicians who believe in picking and abducting people just because they have connections

While not being a fan, I think Davido is the only A-list Nigerian artist that can mount the stage and comfortably perform at least 10 tracks that the crowd can sing along to or enjoy.

Man has paid his dues, big time and can actually own a stage.
I agree. His songs have a lot of energy.

Whizkid his rival on the other hand has more melancholic songs. .

It's possible this boy takes drugs. Hence his erratic nature. That said, this era of tik too, Instagram etc has allowed very stupid people to rules over the brains of normal people.

How can adults subscribe to a boy that doesn't even add value in form of wisdom to others? Most likely he's on drugs too.

The drug epidemic is something else.

Everywhere I go, I see addicts, people trying to kick it and not so sober people

BTW, if the story is true; there's no compulsion in Islam, and kidnapping people and turning them into slaves.

You might want to check history books.
There's no compulsion in Islam.

Sometimes I wonder if people use their brains at all. In which world does God make people drop their brains for nonsense?

Reminds me of the lyrics to the song, 'suburban war's by the Canadian indie rock band, Arcade fire, from their album, 'the suburbs' which won album of the year at the Grammys many years ago.

Part of the lyrics goes this:

Now the music divides us into tribes
You grew your hair
So I grew mine
You said the past won't rest
Until we jump the fence and leave it behind
With my old friends
I can remember when
You cut your hair
I never saw you again
Now the cities we live in
Could be distant stars
And I search for you
In every passing car
