I am writing this piece with a bitterness of heart. I am a student of the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife. i am privileged to be in the dept. of chemical engineering. The issue is that we are faced with a particular problem every session. The problem is that of securing an I.T placement. Apparently, many of us submit letters at various organizations relating to our field. Fine this companies grant some folks the internship while others could be unlucky. The little that are accepted get little or no pay and yet these students would require money for transport, meals etc.Iit is a shame that our government is an handicap regarding this and the private companies, multinationals and conglomerates all turn deaf ears to the cry of the interns.
anyone in the engineering field would know that this is a vital point of the totality of the student as an up and coming Engineer.Tthis looks like the only platform I could possible pour my heart.Ii wouldn't know if someone in a high place could use his/her long arms in intervening.
Presently, there are more than 40 of us who are yet to be absorbed for a program that is air-marked to start for august 1.
