There is almost nothing you won't hear and think of in Nigeria. This is a government that prides itself on fighting corruption. A case comes up where it should have the honour of proving itself, it shies away.

I fear Lai's lies, notes, submissions, opinions, propaganda, press release, statements, and truth. The smallest unit of truth and sincerity can never be found in all that comes out of Lai's mouth. He is a robotic liar who has since lied out his conscience.
I fear Buhari even more. He is unconsciously ignorant and all the vibes from him are all indescribably and unspeakably negative and bitter. I've never seen a very wicked, heartless, inhumane, rigid, hateful, unteachable bigot of a leader in my entire life. He qualifies for a beast in human skin.

Even the cattle business he is into, there's no sign of improvement. Now, he 'rears' over 180Million Nigerians same way.

See fool. They have lost on two different occasions, at the high and the appeal court consecutively. Why use EFCC to intimidate him if they have a case against him especially when the matter is even in Supreme Court. Some people's line of reasoning is just that it reinforces whatever conclusions they want to reach even when it lacks facts. They use sentiments to buttress their points.

Gotze1:
I have been reading different threads since innoson and gtbank issue. Seeing some people turning it into tribal issue. Some have even started the hashtag #boycottgtbank because of issue between two clients. But seeing some igbo peeps shouting that all igbos should boycott gtbank, isn't that emotional. Thinking if you decided to boycott, Gtb will lose and fold up. This is laughable. The last time I checked, gtbank not only has branches in Nigeria but in West African countries like Gambia, Ghana, Ivory Coast, Liberia, Sierra Leone, Rwanda, Uganda, Kenya as well as United Kingdom in Europe. So how will gtbank lose. If yorubas decided to boycott innoson because of emotions also boycott other goods you sell for people. Now, yorubas too are selling wears now, so what if yorubas decided to start buying from Yorubas instead of igbosthey use to buy from before. You will be the first person to shout. Think and think. Don't spoil innoson business with your hatred towards others, innoson is not tribalist like many of you. Use your brain before you are doomed. Leave both parties alone to resolve their issues. They are clients to each other. Thanks
These afonja people and their pathetic and obnoxious hypocrisy. You can hardly see anyone of them who is straightforward and does not show double standards in all their lives.

Politics / Why Fight A Dead Horse With $1bn? by BLSYNG: 5:06pm On Dec 19, 2017
ONE billion dollars… You know the exchange rate, so do the math! Isn’t that some ostentatious battle? But that is not my shock. My indignation is, however, fueled by this: What Boko Haram is these governors intending to fight? If they have unanimously lapsed into amnesia because of $1 billion, I would gladly offer them all a history lesson at no cost. They can see it as my service to humanity, pro bono and I bet posterity would thank me for this reminder.

When in 2015 President Muhammadu Buhari made the declaration of annihilating the dreadful terrorist group, Boko Haram, I had hoped that someone misquoted him and wished that it wasn’t true but it was. Though I was devastated, I decided to rule it out as a septuagenarian’s delusion but history could never obliterate it even if it tried.

Now a quick recap for those who didn’t get it two years ago… In December 2015, six months after coming into power, President Muhammadu Buhari declared that Boko Haram had been “technically defeated.”
His exact words were these: “…so, I think technically we have won the war because people are going back into their neighbourhoods.”
Two years ago, immediately after the president of only six months said this, I expected one of his media aides to fling a release countering that statement or better still making it ambiguous at ravenous newsmen but nothing of such happened. As a matter of fact, I was again stung when two months after that delusional declaration, I saw another headline in a national daily that read “Boko Haram no longer poses threat to us, says Buhari.”

However, here comes the interesting part. This ‘technical defeat’ declaration came on Christmas Eve of 2015. Who knew Boko Haram had a Christmas present for the president! At least 14 people were killed and several others injured by Boko Haram gunmen in a Christmas Day attack on the Kimba village, Borno state.

It gets even more interesting. According to reports, the total number of deaths recorded since December 2015 till recent times probably stands at about 1,101. Findings have equally shown that the Boko Haram terrorist group seems to have had more impact in 2017 than it did in 2016, doubling the number of casualties it recorded.

Analysis of the figures also indicates that while Boko Haram increased its efficiency in 2017, it somehow managed to reduce the number of its foot soldiers killed in 2017. The explanation for this based on reports is that in 2017, Boko Haram changed its modus operandi, mostly avoiding direct confrontations with the military and focusing on soft targets instead. Most of the insurgents who lost their lives in 2017 did so during suicide bombings but our dear president and members of his cabinet, since 2015, have been about places saying things like this:
On 24 December, 2016, exactly a year after the ‘technical defeat’ declaration, President Buhari said this: “I want to use this opportunity to commend the determination, courage and resilience of troops of Operation Lafiya Dole at finally entering and CRUSHING the remnants of the Boko Haram insurgents at ‘Camp Zero’, which is located deep within the heart of Sambisa Forest.”

Note the usage of the word ‘crush’, which, I must say, literally means to “violently subdue an opposition or rebellion”, it can be replaced with ‘pulverize’ or ‘deform’… So, it would not be out of place to infer that in 2016, our president said that Boko Haram had been deformed. I must posit at this point that we ask the people we elected the important questions. Let me garner the courage to bell the cat with this one- why, on God’s green earth, would governors of Nigeria’s 36 states approve the withdrawal of $1 billion from the Excess Crude Account to fight an already defeated Boko Haram in a meeting chaired by the Vice President?

Let us assume that the president has finally come out of his two-year-old bubble to understand that Boko Haram yet wreaks havoc on the lives of innocent Nigerians and has chosen to rectify that but isn’t one billion naira (360 billion naira) too much to kill a dead horse?

Yes, that is the most recent expression used by the president to make Boko Haram diminutive. Of course, he said it through Lai Mohammed, our astonishing minister of information thus: “What we are witnessing now are the last kicks of a dying horse. A dying horse manages to engage in some kicks. These kicks may be dangerous, but they don’t last long. Progressively, they become weaker and weaker until the horse finally gives up.”

What then is the need for 360 billion naira when the horse has been put down already? I smell a rat, in fact, a skunk and if you have any cell of patriotism in you, you should smell it too! Why didn’t the national assembly approve this so-called urgent fund? We have had Dasuki-gate, Maina-gate, who is to say a Boko Haram-gate is not currently under construction?

It's Atiku's time and Buhari's failure facilitated it. Just this early period, Atiku's wind has already started blowing. I'm not saying Atiku is the messiah. What I am saying is that in the unfortunate event that Nigerians have to choose between Atiku and Buhari, Atiku is clearly and arguably a better choice in every ramification.

Politics / An Account Of The King's Graven Image, Rochas Chapter 6:1-21 by BLSYNG: 9:27am On Oct 27, 2017
ROCHAS CHAPTER 6:1-21

A kissN ACCOUNT OF THE KING'S GRAVEN IMAGE

1. And it came to pass that a certain Governor from the East by the name Rochas the son of Okorocha who ruleth over the province of Imo, sent a messenger to the kingdom of the Southern country of Africa.

2. And he said to the messenger, in this manner shall ye speak to the king, "long live the king! thou art highly favoured in the the eyes of my Governor, even among the people of the province of Imo, therefore come this day to meet in my kingdom that thou mayest be honoured"

3. And the messenger did according to the words of the Governor.

4. And it came to pass that the king of the Southern country of Africa by the name, Jacob the son of Zuma, entered into the province of Imo, even into the city of Oweri, the dwelling place of the Governor.

5. And Rochas the son of Okorocha made a great feast and prepared a banquet before the son of Zuma that night. And he called all the noble men of the province to meet in his Palace, even in the court of the governor and they made merry.

6. The Governor hath also hired men of craft that they made a giant graven image of Jacob, the son of Zuma. And the height of the image thereof was ten cubit and two span , and the weight thereof was equals two thousand measure of brass. And the garment thereof was that of the noble men of the West.

7. And he placed the graven image at the Centre of the city of Oweri. And unto Zuma, the king of the Southern country of Africa, was a title given which was higher above any other in the province of Imo. Also, the Governor nameth a street of the city after him. These was the manner with which king Zuma was honoured.

8. All these things happened on the tenth month of the sixth year that Rochas the son of Okorocha reigned as Governor over the province of Imo.

9. But it came to pass that when it was told the people that the Governor hath spent five hundred and thirty million shekels of gold and silver for the graven image of Jacob, the son of zuma that they were wroth with anger.

10. And it grieved the labourers of the province and they took counsel among one another and saith, but how shall this thing be? Is Jacob the son of Zuma also among the righteous men?

11. Howbeit that the son of Zuma was honoured in this manner in the province of Imo? Is not he the same king that dealeth dishonorably in the manner that he spent the gold and silver from the treasury of his country? Is not he that the magistrate put a charge against for taking bribe?

12. Is not it under the reigns of this king that his people persecute our brethren who dwelleth in their country and even put many to death and rendered their businesses desolate?

13. Howbeit the Governor treat us with great disdain? For we laboureth for over ninety days without wages and he said unto us "be thou of long suffering for there is no gold and silver in the treasury that I may pay thee thy wages". And yet he spent millions of shekels to honour the son of Zuma.

14. And the head of the labourers declared according to this words unto the people saying, "arise this day and gird thy loins for we shall march across the city of owerri, even unto the gate of the Governor.

15. And they march across the city and declared according to this words unto the Governor, "thou dealeth treacherously with us in the manner thou sayeth 'there is no gold and silver in the treasury that I may pay thee thy wages'. Wherefore thou honoureth the son of Zuma with so much riches from the treasury?

16. This thing shall ye do, oh Governor: remove the graven image of Jacob the son of Zuma from the city that there might be peace in the land".

17. And the Governor replied them in this manner. "Harken unto my voice oh ye inhabitants of the land. I shall not be careful in the manner with which I answereth thee on this matter.

19. Go back to thy tents, for I, even the son of Okorocha hath repenteth not that I made a graven image of Jacob the son of Zuma. For many more of this statues shall ye see in the city of Owerri in the days ahead".

20. And the people lamented and said "woe unto us! behold, the evil spirit from devil hath entered into the Governor. And yet many saith, verily verily, the Governor is afflicted with insanity.

21. But the Governor doeth not according to the words of the labourers, for unto this day, the statue of Jacob the son of Zuma remaineth in city of Owerri.

If you're encountering the "Application closed" thingy, it simply means that your journey to DPR through this recruitment has ended. You need to move on and try again when there are openings again. It's just logical to deduce this.
No hard feelings.

Sports / Lionel Messi's Hat-trick Against Ecuador Drags Argentina To World Cup by BLSYNG: 2:33am On Oct 11, 2017
Result: Lionel Messi scores hat-trick to drag Argentina into World Cup finals
The Argentina star scored thrice to become the first player in history to reach 21 World Cup qualifying goals in South America.
Argentina have qualified for the 2018 World Cup in Russia courtesy of a Lionel Messi-inspired 3-1 victory over Ecuador in Quito this evening.

The visitors went into the final match of the campaign in sixth pace and outside the qualifying positions, and the prospect of failing to qualify for the biggest stage in football for the first time since 1970 became even more real when Ecuador took the lead inside the first minute.

However, a brace from Messi turned things around by the 20th minute and the five-time Ballon d'Or winner completed his hat-trick shortly after the hour mark to put his seal on a memorable individual performance.

Shut up. You know nothing. What is missing $26bn? The monies involved have not been disbursed. This is a proposed contract. Majority of the components of the contracts have not actually being awarded. No much money has actually being disbursed. Kachikwu was merely saying that due process has not been followed. So you can't authoritatively say there is any missing US $26,when no money has being disbursed and it is just contract on paper.
Is this how Nigeria is going to be better? With this line of reasoning?
What was the intention of bypassing the due process. Would we have known if Kachikwu had not written that letter? The contract is ill-intentioned and the money when disbursed will eventually get missing.
Would you have preached these lines if it were Diezani's and GEJ's time?

Awarded contracts are financed with money. And when the contract money does not follow due process, the money eventually gets missing. It is just a corollary to what you are shouting up and down. Why would you award contracts worth that outrageous amount without observing due process. Is Baru working for himself or Nigeria?
