INTRODUCING THE 45/15 STUDY TECHNIQUE. Apply the 45/15 rule. People can focus on something for a solid 45 minute block before their brains start getting pooped and antsy, and their mental performance starts to diminish. To keep your brain running on all six cylinders, implement the 45/15 rule, or Pomodoro Technique. Under the 45/15 rule, you work nonstop for 45 minutes, and all your focus is on the task at hand for that block of time. When the 45 minutes is up, take a break for 15. Surf the web or get up and go for a quick stroll outside. As soon as the 15 minutes are over, get back to work. Just knowing that you always have a set break coming up can keep you on task. |

Plan weekly. Once you have your master weekly schedule set up, every week set aside time for planning out the week’s variables–those activities that change from week to week. Write down in your schedule when you have to work or the times for any extracurricular meetings. Remember, try to plan around your Big Rocks if possible. Reverse engineer big projects and final exam prep. Throughout the semester, you’ll probably have big projects like term papers to turn in. One thing that helped me complete these tasks on time and with little stress was reverse engineering the task. As soon as I knew the due date for a paper, I marked it in my calendar. Working backwards from that due date, I established mini- deadlines for myself. For example, a week before the actual due date, I might have a deadline to complete the rough draft. Two weeks before the actual due date the mini-deadline might be to write half of the paper. Three weeks before the actual due date, the mini-deadline might be to have the research complete. And so on. I did this sort of reverse engineering for my law school finals as well. About mid-way through the semester, I sat down and planned out my finals prep for the subsequent six weeks, working backwards from the final exam and creating tasks for myself to complete as I got closer and closer to finals. This takes some discipline, but this approach is much less stressful than waiting until the last minute to complete a project or study for a final. |

ONLINE MATERIALS.1 FOR UNIVERSITY FRESHERS. Time & Energy Management In high school, your schedule is pretty well set for you, and your parents are always around, looking over your shoulder. Then you get to college and each day is an ocean of time that is all yours to decide what to do with. This is both a wonderful, glorious freedom and a great challenge. But mastering that challenge by learning how to successfully manage your time will reap you great benefits not only in school, but for the rest of your life. Following the advice below, it’s possible to excel in school, while working part-time, and while still having a social life. Create a master weekly study schedule before every semester. In his book, First Things First, Stephen Covey introduces the idea of “Big Rock” planning. The gist of it is that you should set aside time for your most important things first (your Big Rocks) and then plan everything else in your life around them. When you’re young and in school, your biggest Big Rock is your education. You should (ideally) plan everything else around your schooling. To ensure that you actually make school a priority, block off the time during the week that you’ll devote to class and studying before the semester starts.contd below... |

Also the season of religious show is here.the thief failure who ran away and the incompetent are all in the church and mosques kneeling before pastors and alfas and awearing shrines.we see them on our screens and on the social media say jesus has endorsed them.that muhammad has finally support their campiagn.they say we we should not vote the competent men and women because they are christians or muslims.this phenomena unfortunately is another appauling idealogy that has characterize our polity in recent years.now we look for christian/muslim ticket,muslim/ticket and not competent/ competent ,in enugu recently it was protest against a prospective catholic/ catholic ticket by the anglican diocese. The questions to ask this religious/ political warlords is if performance in governance has to do with your religious affiliation and if the effect of good or bad governance differentiate between muslims or christians.we have had several muslim presidents in the past.has their large numbers provided stable elecricity in the houses of the muslims.have they constructed to a considerable amount the roads leading to the houses of muslims.how good have they being in delivering the dividends of democracy to the muslims and the populace in entirety.the answer is so obvious.the current president is a christian.has his beign a christian secure the lives of nigerians even christians in the north, has his beign carrying the burden like jesus according to doyin okupe stop the massive corruption in his administration or reduce the number of men and women acquiring private jet on tax payers money.the same also goes for past muslim leaders of our past.has the christianity of theodore orji made aba and abia state a pride of reference or did the muslimity permit me to use that word stopped babangida from annuling the best and most credible election ever conducted in nigeria. My people as we celebrate and look forward to this general election of 2015,lets be on our toes.political docility should be gone from our dictionary.we should watch out for the thief, failure and incompetent ones.they would tell us to vote for them because they are yoruba igbo or hausa or naija delta or other tribe.they will tell us to vote for them because they are christian or muslims or any other religion.they will tell us to vote for them because they are with us on the street and eat corn, banana, akara, fried fish, groundnut.they may even tell us to vote for them because they are black, yellow, pot belly, slim or whatever irrelevant reason.that is the thief, failure and incompetent.it is in their blood.but we would do well to clear our eyes and use our votes to land a master punch on their faces so they can end up falling on the grounds of defeat and eat our sand they litter with their refue of failure and incompetence |

In the last issue i promised to highlitht the tricks, and tools of manipulation of the average nigerian politician especially those widely used by mediocre ones who have nothing to offer than noise making, perpetual failure and ineptitude in leadership. I talked of the two categories who are back to seek our mandate in this season of election and celebration of democracy.like the performer and capable politician, the thief, lazy and failure who ran away after getting our vote the first time and who have nothing to offer is also back from abuja, the varous state houses and legislative chambers to the street with us.they are now telling us they are our ‘sons’.that they are our ‘daughters’.they are now eating corn, banana, groundnut like the common man on the street.they now wear shirt and trousers like us.they blouse and wrapper like ourslves.they are on the radio and t.v reminding us they are ‘igbo’.they attack the performer and capable hands on the pages of newspaper and tell them ”my people will vote for me because i am husa”.they now sponsor internet warriors with our stolen common wealth and instruct them to cause ethnic division among people on the social media on ethnic grounds for selfish political gains.in retrospect in our politity in recent years ethnic divison has beign a tool in the hands of politicians to cause hate and bitterness among people for their own selfish and political gain.it is every where.some extraction of the igbo tribe would swore never to vote for a candidate not because he or she is competent but because he or she is from another tribe or because he/she is contesting under the platform of a party that they believe have a larger number of people from other ethnic group than theirs as members.it is everywhere.some yoruba would swore never to vote for an ‘igbo’ or ‘hausa’ likewise hausa would swore never to vote for an igbo man regardless wether he or she is competent.it is everywher. but this idea of voting on ethnic line must stop no doubt historical and age long feud or rivalry may exist between our ethnic groups, the continuation of this dangerous and failure template in choice of leadership phenomenon of hate in this generation especially among our youths, ethnic warlors and opinion leaders portends a great deal of danger to success not only in our political life but also in our personal life.it offers a an avenue of manipulation to the failure who got our mandates and ran away the first time to tickle our ethnic fancy again and deceive us for the second time or first time as the case maybe to continue or start dishing out ineptitude to us as dividens of democracy and leadership. What has begn a yoruba igbo ,hausa niger delta itsekiri uhrobo efik or other respectable tribes got to do with performance.Governor sullivan chime of enugu state was able to perform to a considerable level not as a result of the fact that he is igbo but because of that nuance of leadership and ability in him.governor theodore orji of aba is also is igbo and one of the champion of ethnic politics in recent years.but he failed woefully.babatunde fashola of lagos is a performer not because he is yoruba but becuase he possessed what it takes in leadership.we have had and still several yoruba leaders who are failures and disgrace to their people who gave them their electoral mandate.administrative ability is not a question of where your from but a question of what you have in you as leadership skill and past records in your field of speciality apart from politics.so as ew celebrate and get ready as director generals of the political destiny of our leaders in the next four years,we should dump the idea of choosing our representatives in leadership position based on the fact that they are from our ethnic group or other ones we love.leadership is about competence.we should laugh at the thief and failure and incompetent ones who may even go as far as prostrating in front of our ethnic leaders to gain sympathy and give him or her the bitter pill of disappointment on the day of election. Celebration time.it is the season of merry making.brothers and sisters, fathers and mothers let’s jubilate.as my people in the yorba would say e ja ka shaye,ka tun jaye. In negation to marxist postulation of class specification in virtually most issues of life, the celebration should be for all of our people.starting from the performing big men and women in abuja who fly with private jet like birds of the sky,to the babas and mamas in our state houses who don agbada, suits, babriga with matching cap to the the rich men on our estates:men and women who own houses in victoria island, lekki, the big houses in kano, abuja, enugu, porthacourt and in every other states of the country.then to the king of all; the ordinary man on the street.let the celebration begin to roll.it is the season of jubilation.lets pop champaigne.lets pop something.we can also take it local.eje ka mu nkan.e je ka shaye. This is the season of elections.posters are here and there on our streets.the adverts are on our screens and radio.politicians are again telling us they can buid bridge in the cloud.they re no telling us they can turn the sand of our land to pure gold.indeed this is the dispensation in which political gladiators and lightweight try to influence our choice of leadership with their campaigns of capability to govern and give us the dividends of leadership.in this economic downturn and security challenge in our country, some have looked forward to this time for long to see what the politician who abandon his or her constituency as soon as he or she got their mandate would tell them about his ability and prospective chances.some have waited to see the outstanding achievement of their ‘son’ as we call them in this part of the country rolled out in form of documentries on tv,radio and on campaign grounds and other medium.fortunately both are back to us again.for us voters and performers in government and people with great pedigree and administrative sagacity to go into governance,it is the season of jubilation and blissful reunion. As we celebrate and listen to what plans they have for us, we should not also forget that the ones who ran away after getting our mandate the first time like thieves after getting a piece of clothe off the wire are back to us.they are on television telling us they would be roads.that they would represent us well on the assembly.they are again swearing to god that that they would give us everything we demand.they ahve money.their jingles are everywhere.t.v,radio,newspaper, billboards, social media and every where including our walls.nowadays, they dress like us.the agbada, suit and babariga are gone.now they are on the street in shirt and touser even nicker and buying things we buy on the street.plantain.groundnut.orange.maize. yam.sugar.fish.akara.bread and other things. Likewise the other men who believe have performed so well and those we belive are good to make it as new office seekers.they are now every where.they are attacking one another from all angles.religion, ethnicity, deleberate chauvunism all in a bid to upstage one another in their bid to get the golden fleece of the next four years as our leader at various levels. In this season of the advent of election; a tool of democracy to knock out the boxer af any failed leader or give a leverage of continuity to those politician who have churn out sterling performances in governance,we should not however be away or offer urselves to be manipulated by the antics of politicians who throw up baseless, cunny and tricky premises to get our support irrespective of their failure or inability to govern. It is these antics of politicians i would examine in the next issue of this same topic.by the grace of the maker, the giver of knowledge,i would highlight and break these tricks down and give citation where necessary. In the meantime stick with this blog and help spread the gospel wherever you go.bookmark the page.among your friends, your foes, tell them about http:// tunerwords. it is the blue fountain where words flows like rains though the eye of the sky.till next issue.peace out. |

Politics / Violence Blood PDP Chieftain Ask Supporters To Kill .. by Bmark: 6:27pm On Dec 31, 2014 |
video depicting the Katsina Governor, Ibrahim Shema, prodding his party members to physically assault and possibly “kill” opposition politicians in the state, has gone viral on the internet. The amateur video was first posted on the internet on November 12. It shows the governor, dressed in white agbada and brown sandals, standing on a red carpet, and addressing a crowd in what seemed like a political rally. He spoke in Hausa. Mr. Shema likened opposition politicians to “cockroaches” before asking the crowd what to do if they found the nocturnal insect in their apartments. The crowd chorused “Kill them!” “Crush them!” the governor responded, agreeing with the crowd. Similar calls have triggered violence in other countries including the East African country, Rwanda, where the majority Hutus’ description of the minority Tutsis as “cockroaches”, helped fired a 100-day murderous campaign that saw over 800,000 Tutsis killed. Mr. Shema is a second term governor and a member of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP http://www.premiumtimesng.com/news/ headlines/171411-katsina-governor- shema-caught-video-urging-supporters- crush-kill-political-opponents.html The EU and USA protested at this but what was the pdp governments response? Saw this on another platform and decide to share it here. YOUTH UNITE FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE. Latest PDP latest propaganda alert.. ''After the propangada of wendel smil was bursted, internet warlord of the pdp reno omokri is has opened another handled with the user name @imamsodiq.the aim of this handle operated by the trio of omokri, okupe and abati is to further divide nigerian voters along ethnic line by tweeting post portraying general muhammad buhari as an islamic fundamentalist and northern fanatic.this propaganda of the pdp has failed in recent times as many are now aware that it is the pdp propaganda machine that has always spred unsubstantiated and false news to portray him as beign fundamentalist.but the pdp machinery are not relenting. Hence the new innovation of @imamsodiq on twitter.according to sources in the camp of the internet team of omokri;it was okupe who suggested the idea.then omokri opened the handle with a fake picture of a a muslim man they saw on facebook.. In recent times @imamsodiq(omokri,okupe&abati) have been on their religious znd ethnic propaganda to poryray the general as a fundamentalist and as one who should only get northern support.we urge the general public to discard their tweets and regard it as one of the shameful agenda of the men of a government that has failed the country in its entirety''. source: a mole in the pdp internet propaganda team. 1 Like |
