When we started exporting oil in the 1960's, it was a very small amount.

Today, oil is earning Nigeria billions.

As for gold, this is the start. Though gold may never earn billions annually, but over the coming years, the figure will start rising exponentially.

Give this government credit for at least wrestling our gold from the claws of illegal miners. No government in the history of Nigeria has achieved this.

Both would have removed subsidy thats for sure. However, I know that Obi would not have free floated the naira. The economy would have to an extent absorbed the shock of the subsidy removal but the free floating of the local currency was a blow too many.

It is sad that a year after, Nigeria still doesn't have a clear cut economic framework that can aid organizations to plan. This is a key reason why foreign investments are drying up. Nigeria lost a 6 billion dollar investment from Total to Angola because no one could understand what the present government is doing.

The 15 trillion naira coastal road certainly wouldn't have been something Atiku or Obi would have done. That project remains unjustifiable.

Nigeria's security situation is one that cannot be addressed until a drastic purge of the armed forces is done. The truth is, the fight against insecurity has become a huge business for our armed forces. They are sponsoring it. How else can we justify how the wife of a general had jewelry of close to a billion naira stolen from her? Where did the husband get the money?

If a drastic purge is done, certain sections of the country will claim that officers are being targeted due to tribe or religion and crises may result. So I don't think Obi or Atiku will want to do that.
