KOLKATA India: A 21-year-old woman from

Alleged that she was abducted by her friend and taken to
Jharkhali

in the Sunderbans, where she was forced to marry the accused.

The woman, a student of a renowned college in north Kolkata, was acquainted with the accused around two months ago through a common friend.

The Girish park police registered a case under IPC 366 (kidnapping, abducting or inducing woman to compel her marriage), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 120B (criminal conspiracy) against two persons, Subhankar Mondal, main accused and his associate, Sourav.
