SUPERNOVA
Even in the throes of despair I have nothing at all to fear Rather than feel down and despondent I feel strong and in charge like a president Not over others, but over my own Cos that what I am; a man alone Though enemies try to make loneliness my portion I make myself a priority not an option They ridicule and mock me in my face But I see that as a passing phase Cos when they see me fly high up into the skies Shock and surprise will paint their eyes It’s a nova a nova they’ll cry Just for a moment and he’ll die But I’ll smile and shine ever so bright Until I explode and make them go blind Then they will all know What they should’ve known That I’m not just a star, a nova But a blinding bright SUPER NOVA

The fugitive
He used to be popular A wealthy merchant and traveler Known by all and sundry He was fond of his money With the money came the friends With the friends came his end So fast and swift he never saw it A trap full of mistrust lies and deceit Until he lost his good name And was forced to runaway in shame From hamlet to hamlet he wandered A FUGITIVE seeking to be sheltered One once respected by barons Now treated as a vagabond Alas! , out of the blues he falls in love With a gypsy maiden as pretty as a dove Her big black eyes make his heart go wild Before the fall of spring she bears his child Full of happiness he settles down On the countryside far from the town Far from his past freedom beckons He smiles, at last a new man he has become......

Betrayed
Words cannot express how I feel About what happened to me That someone I really cared about Treated me like a man cast out All my love and all my trust She betrayed trampling it like dust The good and bad times that we shared Were all pretenses that she cared All that we had in common Now lies dead and gone I am left; now with a torn heart Scarred, trodden upon like a used path Facing the truth is heart wrenching A feeling that is killing That I have been used and played But worst of all, BETRAYED

RUNNING AWAY

Sometimes we are lost and confused
When life goes on a downhill cruise
We feel angry and shattered
When we see the innocent battered
Tears run down our own eyes
When forced to go a thousand miles
We feel distressed and helpless
Watching death snatch away our happiness
Broken apart by slavery, pain and doubt
We desperately seek a way out
Running away seems to be the answer
A source of relief from disaster
A haven of peace and freedom
Not restrictive like the walls of a dungeon
But gradually,the light begins to fade
And the darkness of reality shines instead
Our plans failed, our hopes dashed
Our wild dreams are dumped like trash
Awakened by the strike of reality
We turn back on our dreams and head home
Knowing that running away is a fantasy
No more than taking a day in building Rome.
