.....Indigenes tell Tinubu Following reports about possible a cabinet reshuffle by President Bola Tinubu, a group, known as De Renaissance Patriots, on Friday, urged the president to appoint an indigene to represent Lagos State in the Federal Executive Council, FEC. The group, in a statement by its President, Prince Adelani Adeniji-Adele stated that the choice of an indigene will “cement a better relationship with us and assuage the feelings of the indigenes towards being alienated.” Adeniji-Adele said: “The IBILE people of Lagos State, through one of their social cultural organisations, De Renaissance Patriots Foundation, congratulate President Bola Tinubu on the recent celebrations of Democracy Day. “We have received media reports about possible a cabinet reshuffle by President Tinubu, if true, we welcome any changes that will make his administration more versatile. “It is, therefore, our wish to draw the attention of His Excellency to the wishes of most indigenes of Lagos state that an indigenes from any IBILE division so appointed by you as a minister be given a substantive and full port folio, not a junior’ minister. This will be a good step towards cementing a better relationship with us as well as assuaging the feelings of the indigenes towards being alienated. “We pray for His Excellency for the energy and wisdom filled with filled with Grace of God to always do the right thing for us and practical steps by giving Lagos State the Ministerial slot that she deserves. “The great strength of Lagos State is the unity and understanding that had been its hallmark that bonded the indigenes together during the colonial administration before and after amalgamation in 1914.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/06/impending-cabinet-shakeup-we-want-ministerial-slot-for-lagos-indigenes-tell-tinubu/ |

The Kano State Government, on Saturday, expressed concern over the actions of the State Police Commissioner, who has been accused of disobeying the directives of the Governor, particularly regarding the banning of Eid-el-Kabir festivities. In a press conference held at the Africa House of the Government House, the Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Haruna Isa Dederi, said: “I am compelled to address you once again on behalf of the Executive Governor and the Government of Kano State over the unfortunate activities of some enemies of the State that are hell-bent on causing a breakdown of law and order in our State. “A series of actions that have contributed to the current tension, including the recent passing and signing of the Kano State Emirate Councils (Repeal) Bill, 2024. “On May 23, 2024, the State House of Assembly passed the bill, which was promptly signed into law by the Governor after thorough consultations with relevant stakeholders and law enforcement agencies.” The Attorney-General, who spoke on behalf of Governor Abba Yusuf, noted that despite the measures, certain individuals have been accused of attempting to destabilize the state. Isa Dederi said: “Some people are desperately scheming to unjustly penalize the people of Kano for keeping to the tradition of radical politics of voting with their conscience.” On the recent judgment by the Federal High Court No. 3 in Kano, which claimed that the former emir’s fundamental rights were infringed upon, including allegations of house arrest, the State Government disputed this, stating, “No one forced him into Gidan Nassarawa, belonging to the government of Kano State. “He went in there and stayed there on his volition accompanied by security guards. Therefore, no one put him under house arrest. “When the former emir came in accompanied by hoodlums clearly threatening the peace and orderliness of the State, the Governor was under a duty to act to ensure peace, and that was why he issued the arrest order.” Raising concerns about the Police Commissioner’s actions, particularly the unilateral decision to ban Eid-el-Kabir festivities without consulting the Governor or the State Security Council, he said: “How can anybody in his right senses ban Sallah festivities in Kano? And when did the State Governor cease to be the Chief Security Officer of the State that he will only see such a ban on social media? “Any attempt by anybody to undo that is an assault on democracy.” https://www.vanguardngr.com/2024/06/emirate-tussle-police-taking-orders-from-unknown-source-against-kano-govt/ |
helinues:Don't take it personal. It's a judgment of the court. If you are a law-abiding citizen, you have no choice but to obey it. |
flokii:And the so-called best hands have only succeeded in wrecking the economy of Nigeria in just one year. Today, the Tinubu regime is reputed to be the worst regime in the history of this country. Unrivaled in churning out calamitous economic policies back to back, inflicting hunger and starvation on the citizenry. And you are thanking God. Truly, God is merciful. |
The same BPP he by-passed when awarding his coastal highway for fraud. If only our national assembly was not a rubber stamp, Tinubu should have long been impeached. He committed an impeachable offense in the award of the coastal highway contract. |

EmiloCorn:Peter Obi has been donating blood for long, long enough before you were even born, but it's news now because of the effects of social media coupled with his current position as the biggest political figure in Nigeria. |
uria:While another competent Nigerian court quashed the proscription
|
EmiloCorn:I know you aren't healthy enough to donate blood. It won't take anything away from you if you commend those who donate blood for the cause of humanity. |

Right in Tinubu's lagos Wonderful! |
The Agency hereby wishes to state that the claim that the Nigerian airspace is not covered by Radar is false. The radar stations in Nigeria (Kano, Lagos, Abuja, and Port-Harcourt) are serviceable. Radar services for Terminal and Enroute flights are positively identified and provided air navigation services. Yes, it is true that the TRACON system, like any other electronics system, is undergoing an upgrade of software and modernisation to meet the ever growing demand for efficient and effective air traffic management services. |
