Suspected herdsmen tie Oyo farmer to tree, kill him with machete HOME JUST IN NEWS METRO PLUS SPORTS BUSINESS HEALTHWISE ENTERTAINMENT COLUMNS EDITORIAL SPECIAL FEATURES ADVERTISE SUBSCRIBE Punch Newspapers – The most widely read newspaper in Nigeria logo 6' NEWS Suspected herdsmen tie Oyo farmer to tree, kill him with machete Published Olufemi Olaniyi SUSPECTED Fulani herdsmen have attacked a village in Saki in the Saki West Local Government Area of Oyo State where a young man was reportedly hacked to death. It was gathered that the farmer who was simply identified as Kola was tied to a tree at a village called Oke Orogun and was attacked with a cutlass. The incident reportedly happened in the early hours of Sunday. While some residents claimed the farmer had died, one of them told our correspondent that Kola was rescued alive and was still alive as at Monday, but his condition was very critical. The news of the attack was said to have angered some youths in Saki, who invaded a Fulani settlement and set some of the huts on fire. Residents of the Gaa were said to have fled on sighting the angry youths coming towards their huts. One of the sources who spoke with our correspondent in Ibadan on Monday said the killing of the Yoruba man and the attack on the Gaa had led to panic among the people of the town. The source said, “I don’t know the real cause of the problem and who was behind the attack. There have been conflicting reports from people who claimed to have gone there. But it is true that some persons suspected to be Bororo herdsmen tied one man, Kola, to a tree in the village and attacked him with cutlass. “Although the man did not die there as at the time he was rescued, his condition is very critical. He was taken to hospital where he was being tested but I have not heard any latest development from him today.” Speaking on the matter, the Coordinator of the Odua People’s Congress in Oyo State, Mr Rotimi Olumo, also confirmed the incident to our correspondent on the telephone. He said, “One person was said to have been killed on Sunday by herdsmen and somebody was killed before that time.” The Director of Media of the Okere Palace, Mr Akeem Olabisi, said the Okere of Sakiland, Oba Khalid Olabisi, has been making efforts to calm the people of the town down so that the incident would not lead to a more serious crisis. The Police Public Relations Officer in Oyo State, Mr Olugenga Fadeyi, did not pick the call placed across to his telephone by our correspondent on the matter. He had yet to also reply the message sent to him on the same matter as of the time of filing this report. https://www.google.com/amp/s/punchng.com/suspected-herdsmen-tie-oyo-farmer-to-tree-kill-him-with-machete/%3famp=1 |
Topmaike007:No we don't want them to rest...cause if they do our people will become refugees in Cameroon like some people already are in Benin Republic. |
AdakaBoro8:Yet Igbos are prospering all over Nigeria, if hate could add more money to our ethnic account balance, then maybe Igbos should have given a fucck about the useless hate. But everybody hates Ijaws because you're abominable subhumans full of cultism, prostitutes, militancy, oil bunkering, lack of human resources, polluted lands and rivers, warlords and dumb apes with no historical significance. That's why we (the WAZOBIA), the other Nigerians, foreigners, Shell BP, Chevron etc all in that order collectively come together as a global porn corporation to ruthlessly fucck you from all sides, take all your resources to form oil blocks and wells, develop our major cities and towns... and then dump our semen (out waste products) for your people to inhale and feast on a your derivatives. |
AdakaBoro8:Lol this useless Ijaw barracuda looking product of environmental pollution and low human capital, I knew you will be in this thread and you didn't disappoint. Nobody wants you deviants...definitely not Igbos, and least of all NOT your Niger Deltan neighbors either... so stop flaunting your dry hungry self around like some neglected prostitute looking for the highest customer . The Biafra every Igbo person is pandering to is strictly just for the Igbo nation, and we will only look to trade with our more useful AkwaCross( Efik and Ibibio) neighbors who have viable seaports etc... and other willing partners in the South South except the inconsequential and useless Ijaws of course! so stop looking for attention where nobody cares to give you one. |
Obamaofusa:Stop grandstanding and denying your own people just to avoid the embarrassments of them been rightfully tagged as refugees. All those refugees are yorubas who fled their homelands, if you're not from any of those affected communities, then it will be insensitive of you to misrepresent their plights with lies because of your bloated ego. |
OreMI22:You may be right, the terrain in this video matches the one from the ESN video, which would suggest ESN were alerted and swooped in to do the needful. |
Madmohamed1:Those slain cows are free Suya for the boys, I bet they slice up those cows behind the scenes to feast on after clearing the Fulani terrorists. ![]() |
castrogee:So you want them to start posting uncensored pictures of dead Fulani herdsmen? ESN barely even post videos of their activities so we would never know the true extent of their operations! meanwhile your Miyetti Allah recently accused them of killing about 21 herdsmen in Anambra state... so surely there must be more dead Fulani terrorist elements that have been covertly sent to meet their 72 virgins than we know.

kingsavage:Says the bastard with a contaminated DNA whose olosho mother played countless away matches to birth a humongous pile of human filth like your unfortunate self ![]() |
georgeakins:The premise of your brainless crap is befuddling and egregiously stupid. Emefiele last time I checked is an Ika man from Delta state, and he comes from a part where Igbo denial is most profound among the people... so why not direct your bullsh*t to Ika people? what's the business of Igbos with Emefiele you piece of sh*t? |
kingsavage:The feeling of hate is very mutual you worthless inconsequential pig ![]() |
Twitter link https://mobile.twitter.com/SkyGospelNewsT1/status/1369943154431000576 I don't personally subscribe to the killings of those cows, except they want to use them for Suya, just chase away the trespassing herdsmen and seize their cows! |
His name was Ishola Oyenusi, a yoruba man. Ishola Oyenusi: The rise & fall of the most dangerous armed robber in Nigeria's history Video ArchiveThu, 24 Sep 2020Source: Naija Loaded Nigeria has had its fair share of daredevil armed robbers who both stole money and headlines. After Ishola, the likes of Anini, Shina Rambo etc whom readily come to mind as Nigeria’s most famous armed robbers. In the 60s & early 70s, Dr. Ishola was terror personified as far as armed robbery is concerned. Eventually became Nigeria first celebrated Armed Robber. He was known as Ishola Oyenusi (or notoriously known as Dr Oyenusi). Ishola Oyenusi was a real terror. In the crime books, Dr. Ishola Oyenusi’s full range of crimes included snatching cars, robbing banks, factories, stores and killing people like chickens. Doctor Oyenusi, as he was fondly called, was not a medical doctor by profession, neither was he an academic doctor. He only adopted the title ‘DOCTOR’ for the fun of it. The evidence of this lies in the confession he made few minutes before he was executed. Ishola confessed that his parents were not capable of furthering his secondary school education and that was what forced him into robbery. So without having a secondary school education, Dr Ishola Oyenusi could not have been a medical or academic doctor. Ishola Oyenusi’s Life Ishola Oyenusi is from Oyo State, Nigeria. Other part of his background are really sketchy. But what is established is that, Ishola Oyenusi is from a poor family This was the reason why his parents couldn’t afford his secondary school education, which led to Ishola dropping out of Secondary School. This was also the ultimate reason Ishola gave as to what led him into a life of armed robbery and crime. Ishola Oyenusi started his robbery career as early as far back as 1959. But, Ishola Oyenusi sprang out of the wreckage of the 1967-1970 Nigerian Civil War. He was a charismatic, cocksure gangster whose lordly disdain for the law cast the terrifying portent of social breakdown. Ishola Oyenusi - The romantic armed robber His first noted criminal act would be an act of love. His girlfriend needed some money badly so Oyenusi went ahead to snatch a car. He killed the owner of the vehicle. He got N400 from stealing the car and gave it to his girlfriend. The reason why he was sometimes said to be a romantic armed robber. Oyenusi was also hot-tempered and arrogant. During his arrest, he thundered down on a police officer who was ushering him around. He said, “People like you don’t talk to me like that when I’m armed, I gun them down!” Ishola Oyenusi’s reign of terror Ishola Oyenusi came into limelight after the Nigerian civil war ended in 1970. Oyenusi was so infamous that he was regarded by some people as the “first celebrated armed robber in Nigeria“, and after him was Lawrence Anini. Babatunde Folorunsho (Baba oni lace), Shina Rambo, Buraimo Jimoh and others. Dr. Oyenusi robbed banks and people in both daylight and night, and he never let any of his victims live to see another day, he killed them all! This earned him the name “Doctor rob and kill". Dr. No Mercy etc At the height of his horrific reign, Dr. Oyenusi bragged that “the bullet has no power“. He probably forgot that he who live by the sword will surely die by the sword. How Oyenusi was arrested However, nothing lasts forever, and as the adage says, every day belongs to the thief while a day belongs to the owner. On 27th of March, 1971, Oyenusi was nabbed by the police during one of his robbery operations on a WAHUM factory in which he and his notorious gang killed a police constable named Mr. Nwi and stole $28,000 as at then. Cloud of shame hovered above Doctor Ishola Oyenusi as he was casted before the law and found guilty then sentenced to death by firing squad. Dr Oyenusi then confessed that he would not die alone because he did not commit the crimes alone. He then gave out the names of other members of the gang, which were; Joseph Osamedike, Ambrose Nwokobia, Joel Amamieye, Philip Ogbolumain, Ademola Adegbitan, and Stephen Ndubuokwu. During those days, a death sentence was followed by public execution by a firing squad at the Lagos Bar Beach. It was a regular occurrence in Lagos. People will come out in their thousands to watch soldiers publicly execute criminals. The venue of Oyenusi and gang execution By 10am, trucks carrying Oyenusi and his executors arrived at the execution ground. Dr. Oyenusi, his gang members and one other criminal got down slowly. People jeered and booed them, especially Oyenusi who they had really trooped out to watch die. Oyenusi donned a dark long-sleeve shirt and had his hands tied behind him. He was sweating profusely but managed to smile all the way to the stakes. He kept smiling, smiling and smiling but could still not hide the agony and terror written boldly on his face”. Few minutes before he was shot, Oyenusi told journalists that he would not have ventured into armed robbery if his parents were capable of sending him to secondary school. He also said “I am dying for the offense I have committed". Oyenusi then warned others against following his life of crime. According to him “Crime does not pay in the long run”. On the day of Dr Oyenusi’s execution, it was reported that 30,000 Nigerians showed up to see his end. They were happily and excitedly waiting to see the man who had terrorized them get riddled by hot bullets. Dr. Ishola Oyenusi and other criminals were fastened to their various stakes. The soldiers lined in front of them and aimed their ever-ready guns. Some of the criminals yelled their last words of protest at the cameras. https://mobile.mynigeria.com/NigeriaHomePage/NewsArchive/Ishola-Oyenusi-The-rise-fall-of-the-most-dangerous-armed-robber-in-Nigeria-s-history-381985 Watch how he was executed https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=waHMvnuGRko |
If you ever wondered why the Igbo man was envied back in the era of pre and post independent Nigeria that engendered the infamous fears of "Igbo domination" across all the regions in Nigeria... look no further than the sheer display of fearlessness, intelligence, and confidence of a 16 yr old Boniface Offorkaja who stood out among his peers in that entertaining debate... it all makes sense now why Ahmade Bello unreservedly expressed his deep hatred and paranoia about Igbos in that popular interview he granted to the British journalist...thanks for this video. |

Ezeama400:" It is tales of woe from farmers across Ondo State following the activities of herdsmen who have not only destroyed their sources of livelihood by their incessant attacks on their farmlands but also annoyingly raped their wives and daughters in their presence." imagine Fulani banging your wife or daughter right before you with their uncircumcised gbolas... that's worse than death itself. |
This can be a beautiful tourist location!
