theFarmsChief: In all sincerity, you really tried with your break -down on the Cost Analysis Of Rearing 100 Pullet of Isa Brown from day old till market. But considering these two factors that I noticed, the calculation and the cost feed and feeding are far too much. 1. The birds cumulatively for 4 weeks are NOT suppose to consume beyond 0.6kg *100 = 60kg /25 = 2.4kg bags, 5-8 weeks,1.2kg *100=120kg of feeds/25=4.8bags and so on and so forth 2. The cost that you quoted per bag of 25kg of feed is on the high side. And in order to beat the price down, that is why , you need to contact us at theChiefsFarm via Whatsapp 09156563202 to put you through on quality poultry feed that is far cheaper than what you can image. Thanks for your contribution. With a couple more submissions like yours, we can make it accurate. I just want to see if egg production is a comfortably profitable business or only profitable for those who know are aware of the business secrets. |

Agriculture › Analysis Of Egg Production With 100 Layers by Bodex2000(op): 5:05pm On Nov 13, 2024 |
I was looking for a cost analysis of 100 birds poultry but the one I saw was outdated, so this is a kinda update.
Let's go!
Price of Isa Brown DOC: 1000 × 100 = #100,000
Feed for week 1 to 4: 1.5kg × 100 = 150kg 150 kg = 6 bags 6 bags × 27,500 = #165,000
Feed for week 5 to 8: 1.6kg × 100 = 160kg 160kg ~ 7 bags 7 bags × 27,500 = #192,500
Feed for week 9 to 16: 4kg × 100 = 400kg 400kg = 16 bags 16 bags × 27,500 = #440,000
Feed for week 17 to 20: 2kg × 100 = 200kg 200kg = 8 bags 8 bags × 27,500 = #220,000
Vaccines #30,000 Drugs #30,000
Feed for laying period = 120g × 100 × 365 = 4,380kg 4380kg = 175 bags 175 bags × 27,500 = #4,812,500
Laying at 90% for 50 weeks = 90eggs × 350 days 28,000 eggs = 933 crates
1050 crates × 5900 = 6,195,000
94 Spent layers × 6000 = 564,000
Sum of sales = 6,759,000
Sum of costs = 5,990,000
Gross profit = 769,000
There are still costs involving brooding, battery cage (or nesting boxes in deep litter), feeders and drinkers.
I didn't include revenue from sales of poultry manure either. It'll probably be somewhere between 180,00 to #300,000.
Perhaps sales of poultry manure can offset the costs I didn't include.
Looking at the costs involved, it isn't worth it except you have a way to seriously reduce the cost of feed. You will have a sizable profit in that case. Otherwise, rearing broilers is better due to its fast turnover. |

shilenji: Good day guy.
As a new poultry farmer, poultry feed expenses wan kill me, I have about 200 broilers I am hoping to nuture until December but Feeding expenses too much. If I continue like this I would have to sell a Chicken 25000 to cover up for money spent and my profit won't still go far.
Senior eleyes(poultry farmers) in the house, please are there other feeding alternatives than buying 8 bags of Topfeed everymonth? A bag of Topfeed is currently 28k here. Please help. You must have gotten it wrong somewhere. Your feed cost per bird ought to be around 5-6k. Also, don't overfeed. How old are your birds? How much do they weigh currently? How many bags have they eaten so far? |

Maggi85: Unfortunately he didnt give me his word that he wlll support me more after another child. He said «you should have known that i didnt have money as a foreigner (but with masters..) when you got pregnant with our first child».
I replied him. «Well i expeced, and also you, that a good job would come your way after a master in engineer». «And now that you have a job its still difficult for you to contribute». He didnt reply me well after that. Just many excuses. My main worry and reason why im afraid he is using me is 1. not wanting to contribute much financially without me forcing a lot. 2. not joining me and our daughter on things like family dinners, playground, friends meetings, cabin with family, vacation, walking outside with our daughter, playing with her. 3. too much focus on sex. He wants sex two times a day when we a 2 year old, its like its only sex he wants from me. 4. he doesnt want me to join him in church, but he takes our daughter there. He says that the reason is that he thinks my agenda to go there is not God but to check on him or see if he meet others. In a way he is also right. Im not agreed to much that his church follow. We are not married, still he has a leader position in the church. That makes me Wonder a bit. Because i have read that in this church you have to be married to do so. Two weeks ago he asked if maybe we should get married this year. Well im still comfused about this guy, and we barely see each other since he works so much, and my daughter doesnt care much about him these days since he is never home.
He works all the time, dont give us much time or money, dont take me to church but want another baby with me and also talk about marriage, never join me on visits to my family, never do familythings together with me and our daughter, use his whole weekend on job snd church but doesnt welcome me there.
So whats in this for me. Been patient for 2,5 years now since she was born. Im a patient woman so maybe i will wait even more, because i feel like if I break up with him i will never get together with him again. People will say; what is there to loose. But in fact i am afraid to loose him because we are a family of three, and i put family very high. I will never give up my family without a long fight.
Thanks four your good advices Hey Maggie, You have all the signs you need already. This is a charade. Anyways, feel free to update us with the eventual result of your action/inaction. PS: all Nigerian men are not like this. We take our family more seriously than your guy has done so far. |

Investment › 10 Rules Of Money That Are Killing You Silently by Bodex2000(op): 2:12am On Sep 08, 2020 |
Money – the multi-purpose tool that keeps turning up in different forms. It’s no surprise that knowing the rules of money is a very important thing. It has gone from cowries to gold and from gold to paper(cash) with several forms in between. However, you can change the skin, but you can’t change the snake. Regardless of the form money decides to take. The rules of money stays the same. In fact, you would be doing yourself a great disservice if you continue to be ignorant of these rules. Nevertheless, you need to be observant and inquisitive before the rules can be revealed to you, but if you are reading this post, odds are that you are qualified. In this post, you will learn what the most important rules of money are, and how to take advantage of them. Here are the rules of money:Rule 1. Anyone can use moneyIf money was able to speak it would reply to the question, “do you know who I am?” with “no, I don’t give a damn!” Money does not care who handles it. It doesn’t know whether you’re using it for good or evil. In essence, money is an object and the amount of it you get to lay your hands upon depends on how well you apply yourself. Money is not a racist. It can’t determine whether you are qualified or not. In fact, if you have a phone and you’re reading this post, you’re qualified to take as much money as you want. The only thing that can stop you is your money myths. Rule 2. Money will avoid you if your beliefs are unsupportedHave you ever tried to open an Epub file with a PDF reader? The resulting error message is always going to be a variation of “unsupported format, could not open file!” This is what happens when you try to make some money while harbouring unhealthy beliefs. Despite the fact that money is an object, it will avoid you like a plague if you harbour erroneous beliefs such as: •Money is the root of all evil •Money can’t buy happiness(not necessarily) •It is not my destiny to be rich •You have to be dishonest at some point in order to be rich •You can’t be loaded and still be spiritually sound •Money corrupts people And many more Closely examine your opinions about money. Oft-times, the only difference between someone who has a vault of cash in the bank and someone who doesn’t is what they believe. Rule 3. Money will become the problem if you see it as the ultimate solution
Whenever you remember your problems and you think, “if only I had X million Naira, I wouldn’t get dumped any more.” Were you thinking about the cash itself, or what it can do for you? Except you are a cash collector(I coined that one), the odds are that you only think about money in terms of what it can do for you. However, as it is with a lot of things, you normally won’t get dumped when you are rich, but you will be a target for fake partners. This means that you will have to be very careful when choosing a date. Never mind, I’ll be the first person to tell you, “congratulations! You’ve just got yourself a bigger problem.” Solve your problems directly instead of using money to paper the cracks. Now tell me, where’s the fun in sniffing out gold diggers. Rule 4. Manage yourself firstHow much willpower do you have? Can you practice delayed gratification? There is no sugar coating this one(I’d like a sugar-coated tongue). If you can’t manage yourself properly then, you can’t manage money either. Holding, keeping and using money in a way that will further your cause requires a level of discipline most people don’t have(did I remember to say that in my stern voice?). A popular proverb says, “The person who only drives a car with his/her mouth will never be involved in an accident.” You can’t claim to be disciplined until you actually do something that shows it. Achieving mastery over yourself means that managing money will be a walk in the park for you. Rule 5. Don’t get emotional about moneyThis one is an extension of rule of four. Have you ever wondered why the guys who manage banks and large treasuries are always stern-faced and cold? They are that way because it is an unspoken requirement. Even when a regular person gets into that position, they quickly take on the said attributes. If you keep on lending to every Tom, Dick, and Harry that asks because you were touched, then it’s only a matter of time before you become a charity case. Those who are able to make money decisions without the “help” of their emotions often turn out to be right. Only make decisions based on their financial merit. Kayceenaz: Reading is like working out. The more you read, the more you develop stamina in the activity. Headache is often a signal the brain gives you that it is saturated and needs a break. If this happens at the end of just two hours, it is an indication you need to increase your reading muscles.
Before you know it, you're doing 4-6 hours at a stretch with understanding. The highest I've done so far at a time is 6 hours. Am I still sane? Yes. That "run mad" cliché is a myth. Reading, I stand to be corrected, cannot be a sole causal factor of madness. So don't give up, keep reading! I'm already doing 8 hours but only for some categories of books. The book category also determines the time you can spend reading at a stretch |
