Leobankx: El Rufai is no different from Atiku and Kwankwaso, infact Atiku and Kwankwaso have better track record politically than he does.
If he was intelligent as you said, he would've been a minister under the present administration. Lol.
If your last paragraph is the justification you're using to back up your argument, then I'm sorry, you're simply out of your depths on this one issue.
Do you genuinely think El-rufai's exclusion from Tinubu's Ministerial cabinet was a mistake? It was a very calculated political decision by Tinubu himself to exclude Mallam from the inner workings of his government.
Also, do you honestly believe that if El-rufai was keen on being a Minister (a position he long held before being a two term governor), he wouldn't have lobbied to retain his Ministerial slot?
Don't ever underestimate Nasir El-rufai. There's a very strong reason he's called a snake in Aso rock corridors. |

Edygrin: You overate these northern politicians too much, Atiku miscalculated wheb he decamped to APC, same did Kwankwaso when he moved to NNPC, they can do anything to take power from the south. He's actually right. El-rufai is too intelligent a man and politician for certain political miscalculations.
That Atiku and Kwankwaso goofed with certain decisions is all the more reason Mallam has to be extra careful and I assure you, he doesn't need the insightfulness of a seer to know better.
And whether you choose to accept it or nay, El-rufai is not yet finished in the Nigerian political space. |

Quite weird how all the leaderships of the Western alliance that gathered to boast about crippling the Russian Empire by funding and massively supporting the Ukrainian axis, are falling apart and their economies are fairing no better either.
Imagine imposing a deluge of sanctions on a perceived enemy, only to have your own citizens suffer the negative consequences. In this life, pick your battles very cautiously. |

unbiasedTruth: This is the downside of over education I predict that this will happen in Nigeria in 40-50 years.
Right now, every shop attendant/driver/security has O level in Nigeria unlike before when it was enough for a secretarial/clerk job. Almost everyone now has a HND/B.Sc and in 15 years time, B.Sc will be basic requirement for shop attendant/driver/security.
In 40-50 years, it will be the turn of Masters degree. Forty to fifty years? Are you sure you're existing in the same Nigeria we all know? Because even as we speak, hundreds of thousands of Masters Degree holders are jobless in Nigeria and willing to settle even for the simplest of jobs for daily survival. |

Foreign Affairs › Re: Honduras Threatens To Expel U.S. Military If Trump Carryout Mass Deportation by BoldBrainz(m): 8:54pm On Jan 04, 2025 |
Wallade: Building process is continuous, a lot of your Nigerians, documented and otherwise, are doing several jobs in the USA which means they are adding value. They are being taxed and the ones that are not taxed are earning less that minimum wage hence the company or person that employed them is still benefiting from them (they are able to pay them less because they are undocumented however, the job is done and value is added).
Your point in bold letters is well taken and accepted by me but I don't agree with you that their society is collapsing due to influx of migrants. There are jobs in USA, most white and blue collar jobs are reserved for their citizens and a few documented migrants that have high value however, most jobs undocumented migrants take in the USA are brown collar jobs, casual and menial jobs. They are jobs that most Americans don't want to do but those undocumented migrants do it to make money.
It is all about the Benjamins.
Typical American would prefer to be on social Security scheme of being paid monthly stipends for upkeep and doing online jobs from the comfort of their homes or parlor. However, undocumented migrants are hustlers, they hustle hard because they plan to return home some day or perfect their documentation in USA someday and be able to afford mortgage and assets by then with funds saved. They also have responsibilities to family and folks too so they take any job available. Why are you typing all of this new testament because people said they don't want illegal migrants in their country again ?
I don't even understand the logic behind this your argument. You want to force them to retain undocumented migrants? Oya when Trump massively deports them, go to the White House and solicit on their behalf na.
See problem o😂! |

Angelfrost: That lack of Credit System is what I love about living in Nigeria...!
My friend that relocated abroad almost got roped into debts by their system, till he remembered and returned to his Naija orientation.
Don't get me wrong, there is nothing bad about helping people get things upfront and paying later or in instalments, but systematically compelling people to use the system by that criminal Credit Scoring process is what I find abhorrent.
This is what happens when criminal bank and financial cartels run nations. That very horrendous credit system is what your current president is fighting tooth and nail to implement as one of his policies, claiming it makes for a better society and people are applauding him . |
