The problem with your type is that you won't humble yourself enough to learn the things you do not know.

But I don't know why someone would hide the location but reveal the service.

E.g I only register from 45 locations because their population is 300k plus. And when I searched this cities I'll end up seeing like only 5 cities are available.

So why others don't want to reveal the domain name is because when they reveal the service or keyword people would rush and register all the remaining cities that are available

I greet the gurus in the house. I'm a newbie, went through training last week and I bought 3 domain names last weekend at namesilo, listed them for sale at their marketplace and was able to also list only two at afternic, I couldn't list the last one there.

When I wanted to list that last domain I bought at namesilo for sale at afternic to increase exposure to potential buyers, I inputed my price at afternic and clicked on submit, the information displayed was that domain has already been registered by a different person. I then used their search box and typed my domain name, I saw it listed there already with a very high price of about $5k. I then contacted namesilo and told them what happened, they helped me check at afternic and saw the same thing. They were confused too, they then checked on their system and still confirmed to me that the domain is registered on my name with them at namesilo that I shouldn't worry. I checked whois, the domain is registered with namesilo too with the date I bought it there.

Has anyone experienced this and what are the implications? Thanks everyone

Contact afternic, they will delete the name from the person's port folio and add it for you, only if you can confirm that you are the owner. I think they will asked you to screenshot the domain at your registrar (namesilo)

But yellow pages and yelp tend to be very misleading. When I check I'll see plenty end users to contact but I enter their website I'll see that they offer the service to an entirely different location.

E.g yellow page would show the address El Paso,Texas but if you enter the site you'll see that they offer the service in Dallas, Texas.

What if an end user offer the service in 3,4,5+ location do you still contact them?

Or companies that have numerous location they are serving both within and outside a state?

what if, say a plumbing company has only one website to manage all its branches (in different cities across a state and probably other states) and has dedicated pages on the website for each branches.

can this company be an end user for a GEO domain? bearing in mind there are different pages on its website for different cities it renders its service.

Yep, GEOs is really profitable if you know how and have time and energy to outbound. Infact it may arguably be the only niche u won't have to fear loosing money, because hey! If it doesn't sell after a year u drop them and move to other geos!

And as for the xyz guy, it may be true he is not on profit YET, or he may not be satisfied on the profit he is making.
The problem with other niches other than Geo, is that, in most cases names will enter 2nd ,3rd year before they sell, now if u have thousands of names, u may be at lose after annual renewal. But as for geo like i said, I DROPAM AND MOVE ON
Well, my focus is still geo, but I'm exploring brandables too, while i learn about them i drop unregistered names to SH, and see what and what they collect, and i can say I'm progressing because for the past two weeks i started, SH accept my names every other day. The SH portfolio serves as long term investment, the geos serve as quick flip.
We shall see how e go be!
