yakssson:It is not your responsibility to send your account detail to Youwin. Rather, the bank Youwin requested you to open account with will do that. I belief the bank's contact was provided in the email sent to you for opening of account, so get in-touch with the person indicated. |

I got this mail from Youwin ome minutes ago. I guess disbursement will be soonest. Dear Mr ............, Following your validation, complete registration of your business with the Corporate Affairs Commission and collection of your certificate, you are required to open a corporate bank account in the name of your registered business. This account will be used to disburse the YouWiN! Grant funds for your business. Kindly visit the nearest bank branch from the list below with the following (originals and photocopies); a. CAC certificate and supporting documents which include particulars of shareholders and directors where applicable or a partnership deed duly notarized by a commissioner of Oath to show ownership of majority shares by 51% and above). b. YouWiN! Legal agreement. Please note that you are to open the account as the ONLY signatory as you will be fully responsible for managing the grant funds. The bank that you are to open a corporate account with is: Diamond Bank You can contact the desk officers listed in the attached link below for any clarifications or questions regarding your corporate account opening. |
sunylee1:Although it was stated that a new business must be sole proprietorship for just business name registration, but in your situation it needs to be in partnership to get registration. My take on this is for you to get a notarized partnership deed signed by a commissioner of oath as stated in the first mail inviting you for the agreement signing. You must have minimum of 51% of the shares in the partnership. |
Denn:Thanks for the information. How do you go for the registration? Is the registration facility available online? If the registration facility is not available online, where can I do the registration in Lagos? Thanks |

Yes, it's possible for a Nigerian who is not resident to send money through western union in Benin Republic. All you need is to have CFA equivalent of the amount to be transferred including the other transfer charges. You also need to go along with the international passport to the bank. |
