It's not enough to discuss politics everyday, but how much have you made from politics in the last one year? |

majamajic:Subject to increment based on performance. |
Make millions selling your books on Nigerian politics. |

Do you also know that anybody who writes a book is highly respected worldwide? Anybody who is an author has some kind of respect in the minds of people because not everybody can write a book. Mind you, the majority or at least 90% of any country's population will never write a book before they die. So authors are highly respected and regarded worldwide. |
And do you know that the moment you're able to write and publish a book on Nigerian politics, radio and TV stations will automatically begin to invite you to be their guest and speak on many issues concerning Nigerian politics? They will be running after you and you will become a VIP, an analyst, a political analyst, a respected Public Commentator and a respected Public Affairs Analyst. Your book can be used in Universities by the political science departments and also history departments and the opportunities are just endless. |
It's better you become a political analyst that will be respected and regarded in the entire Nigeria by writing and publishing a book on Nigerian politics than to remain on Nairaland or at the vendor's stand everyday analyzing politics without being paid for all your efforts. What do you think? |
People love controversy. People love politics and it's now a hotcake in Nigeria. Do you know how much Obasanjo made with his book "My Watch" where he talked about Atiku and revealed many other things about Nigeria and about his government? If I tell you that Obasanjo made nothing less than 100 to 200 million naira from that book, would you believe? But he even made more than that! The book was so controversial and he made so much money and he's still making money with that book because people are still buying it till today and till tomorrow. The book was so controversial and popular that it was sold in traffic in Lagos and other cities in Nigeria when it came out. You too can write books about Nigerian politics, about the elections, about politicians and everything happening in Nigeria and make money. Drop your comments below, let me know what you think. |
For example, can't someone write a book on the imminent downfall of Saraki and the lessons for Nigerian politics and lessons for politicians? You may think this is silly but I tell you anyone who does proper research and writes this kind of book will not only make history but will make good money launching, marketing and selling such book. Nigerians should do something new. There are a lot of money to be made in this country. Let's stop saying there are no jobs. The time you waste talking about politics, reading newspapers or watching TV is enough to make so much money for yourself. Do you know that the richest people around the world hardly have time to watch TV? Do you know that majority of the people who own TV stations worldwide hardly even watch it? Go and find out and stop wasting your time and future on irrelevant things that may not benefit you. Publish a book on Saraki political dynasty and make money. We can teach you how to do it. I'm not saying you should attack Saraki. But something that people will learn from. We can teach you how to do it. We can even ghostwrite it for you while your name will be in the book as the author. There are a lot of opportunities in Nigeria. You can make a minimum of 10-20 million naira on the day of the launching of this book, not to talk of the money you will make selling it to bookshops and distributors. The opportunities are just endless! |
Read and drop your comments. Don't just read and pass by, drop your comments and views or questions. Let's discuss these issues from so many perspectives. I want to hear from you. Please everyone help to make this thread lively by adding your comments. Thanks and God bless you. |
bahtiyar:Hmm, nice one! But we can't avoid politics or run away from it. It controls our lives, our future and the future of the generation to come. We should be involved in it in one way or the other, either actively or by writing and publishing books that people will read. |
So if Things Fall Apart could become a bestseller, then your book can also become a bestseller. You too can achieve such feat and even achieve greater feats. You only need the right training, mentorship and the right professionals to work with. |

A time comes when you need to stop writing, get an editor and publish your book and then move on to another book. In the eyes of any author, none of their books is ever complete. Any day they pick it up, they would surely and definitely find something or remember something to add or subtract from the book! You know why? Because they're the author and not the editor. Because they would surely have inspiration to add something or scrutinize what they've written. If Chinua Achebe had not published "Things Fall Apart" the time he did in the fiftees, and let's assume he kept the book/manuscript with him, I bet you that he would still have found cause to add or substract something from that classic book till he died! But since it had been published, whatever changes he wanted to make will be insignificant and he won't even be motivated anymore to do so. The same thing applies to all other authors. The bottom line is this: Don't wait until your book is perfect because it can never be entirely perfect in your own eyes as the author. There must be a time to stop writing or editing your book and put it out to the market and only your editor will know this. Get an editor to do it for you. Don't do it alone, it's dangerous to your writing career not to have an editor. If you don't take action when you need to, you may not achieve certain things you're supposed to achieve on time. A plan or idea without action is useless. Act now. Contact us to professionally edit your book to international standards. Your use of Mr A & Mrs A is confusing. There are better ways to present the story. Your story is somehow. Why can't you manufacture names and use instead of using A & B? |
The problem we have in this country is that many Nigerians are hypocrites. They will be giving advice as if they're without blemish but go and check them in their closet and see the kind of evil they commit. I've said it several times that that's one of the reasons why this country is not moving forward. Too many Nigerians are simply hipocrites. Just imagine a popular pastor last week confessed before his church congregation how he and his wife both cheated on each other resulting to each of them having children "outside wedlock". Yet this is someone who advises married couples on marriage! Nigeria is a complete joke. The same with many people who pretend to be what they're not and give unsolicited advice. Please OP do whatever pleases you and don't listen to any unsolicited advice here. |
Miarose:Abi ooo, I'm really surprised with all these holier than thou attitude and people here. Someone has made her choice and you're trying to convince her to do otherwise. By the way she never asked anybody to advise her. That's the problem with so many Nigerians. Giving unsolicited advice as if they're saints without blemish. Do they know what she has passed through? Anybody who has crossed the age of 40 to 45 to 50 will know certain things about this life that the younger ones can never know. People should leave her to live her life as she pleases. It can work out for her. Everybody's destiny is not the same. For those saying she should carry her relative's child and train. It can never be like having your own child. In future the relative can start making trouble and claim their child back. People should stop acting as if people have not done what she wants to do before. Holier than thou. Let her go ahead. In life, whatever life throws at you, you try to make do with it in order not to remain miserable for the rest of your life. Nobody plans to have children for two different men but those it happened to found themselves in such situations. If you are innocent then throw the first stone if you think you are 100% without sin in life. Let's stop all these type of advice that can't help her in her current situation. Someone said she's already clocking 40 yrs and people are now advising her to look outside Nairaland or to wait for marriage or not to go into the civil partnership she has decided for herself. Do you even know whether from such civil partnership she might eventually find love again and eventually get married? Pls OP do whatever pleases you and don't listen to any contrary holier than thou advice. And don't you ever listen to anybody who tries to make you feel guilty for having a child outside wedlock or whatever they call it. It's only we human beings that make this life difficult and complicated. God is a very merciful God and the Lord will be with you because it's not your fault whatever has happened to you. Believe in yourself and do whatever pleases you and whatever makes you happy. |
When we say you can earn N400,000 monthly on your book, in fact that's an understatement. You can actually earn far more than that. People are earning far more than that with their books and smiling to the Bank. You too can. |
Don't wait till your book is perfect before you publish it. Get a professional book editor to edit and polish it for you. No matter how talented you are, you can never edit your own book because it's advisable to give it to a professional book editor to edit for you. If you're waiting for your book to be perfect, you'll only be wasting precious time because in your own eyes your book may never be perfect to you. Everyday you will see errors and want to add or subtract one or two things from your book. But an editor will do a professional job for you. That's what we do. That's our job. Get in touch with us. |
Aim higher. Focus on higher opportunities. Aim for the entire world. Aim for the whole universe. Don't restrict yourself to your country. Let your book go far and wide. You can achieve it if you plan well and work with professionals who will handle it for you. |
Valuer303:Hello sir/ma, I've sent you a message on Whatsapp. |

But if you're to publish your book as a print book in Nigeria, then that's when you will need an ISBN to be issued by the Nigerian government, via the National Library of Nigeria. |
As an author, you don't need to worry yourself about ISBN registration because it'll be automatically assigned by Amazon when we publish your book. It will be an international ISBN for your book which will be universal. |
amona:For ebooks there's no need to get an ISBN. It'll be automatically allocated by the publisher/publishing platform such as Amazon and other digital platforms. |
When you write, don't let anything put you down. It's your talent. It's your book. If you can't do it alone, then get help. Get a professional to help you out. |
Then your specialty comes in. You have to specialize in a particular niche. |
debaj10:You should remove that word "hungry" entirely from the title. It's really demeaning to Lawyers to talk the way you talk. Respect begets respect. The fact that you want to engage a lawyer doesn't mean you should disrespect him. Mark my word, you won't go anywhere with this your case except you change your attitude. |
