According to Moses Maimonides, a Philosopher, Theologian and Medical Doctor in his book "The Guide for the Perplexed," there would be no need for a Creator if the universe was eternal, without beginning or end. In other words, God would not exist. However, if the universe did have a beginning,God by necessity would exist. From Abraham and until Aristotle God existed only for the pious who could exercise faith. For Cosmologists God had only been a probability, extremely small nevertheless a probability. At the time of Aristotle that small probability had been erased as Aristotle discovered that the universe was eternal; no beginning and no end. The pious went on with their faith but as Science was concerned, the non- existence of God had been proved. The line of thought that God's existence was depending on the universe having had a beginning lasted from about 330 BCE with Aristotle and until 1922 ACE with Georges Lemaitre a Catholic priest who brought the news about the Big Bang to the whole world as the beginning of the universe. Cosmologists throughout the world had to adopt Lemaitre's discovery as the nearest approach to the truth they had ever achieved. Now, since the universe had indeed a beginning, a proof had be established for the existence of God, blessed be He! |

1 - I Cor. 15:9. "I am not meet to be called an apostle." That's right! And for more than one reason. 2 - I Cor. 15:13. "If there is no resurrection, Jesus did not rise." That's right! Jews do not believe in bodily resurrection; as Jesus was a Jew, therefore, Jesus did not rise. 3 - I Cor. 15:14. "If Jesus did not rise, then our preaching is vain as well as your faith." That's right! Simply a lot of wasting of time. 4 - I Cor. 15:15. "We are found false witnesses of God for testifying that God raise up Christ if the dead rise not." That's right! The name is "Jehovah's false witnesses." 5 - I Cor. 15:16. "If the dead rise not, then Jesus did not rise." That's right! As it is a logical conclusion. 6 - I Cor. 15:18. "Then they also who are fallen asleep in Christ are perished." That's right! It follows without saying. 7 - I Cor. 15:19. "If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men the most miserables." That's right! All hopes for an afterlife reward have been in vain. Conclusion - I Cor. 15:32. "If the dead rise not, let us eat and drink for tomorrow we die." Pity as sad conclusions always result from condional faith |

This thread came to my mind as I was reading the book of Revelation. It's about Revelation 14:12. "Here is the patience of the saints: Here are they that keep the commandments of God and the Faith of Jesus." Needless to inquire, "by the commandments of God" we all are aware of, the author refers to the Law. But "by the Faith of Jesus" I am unfortunately sure that, if not all, the majority wish they could erase that text from Revelation because the reference is to Judaism and, there is no other way to deny it for it was the Faith of Jesus. I see here a paradox because most Christians are ready to stand for the truth that Jesus was indeed a Jew and went through all the steps a Jew goes through to identify himself as a Jew. But that's when the cameo breaks his back because, Jesus' Jewish identity must be maintained but not his Faith. That had to be changed according to Paul in Hebrews 7:12,22. The paradox goes on because, if Jesus' Jewish Faith is denied, his Jewish identity must go along. Paul found a way out without compromising Jesus in the flesh by declaring that his Faith had gone whith his death on the cross. (Ephes. 2:15) It means that Jesus died as a Jew and resurrected as a Christian so to speak as some of them imply to be the fact. How ever that could be understood, I see no other way but to conclude that Judaism is a religion of this life and Christianity of the afterlife. But according to Revelation 14:12, the saints of the Most High are those of the here and now. AND WHO AGAIN ARE THE SAINTS OF GOD? |
That's from Numbers 12:6 and confirmed by I Chronicles 17:1-4. "If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord will make Myself known unto him in a vision and will speak unto him in a dream." Now, when David had brought the Ark of the Covenant into Jerusalem, he was very excited about what he had done but, at the same time, he was very sad that he had a palace unto himself and the Lord did not yet have a Temple. David called Nathan the Prophet and shared with him his intense desire to build a Temple to the Lord. Right there and then, realizing how David was struggling with mix-feelings, Nathan agreed with David and told him to go right ahead and start to build the Temple. That same night the Lord appeared unto Nathan and implied something like, "What were you thinking to tell My servant David to go ahead and build a temple to My name? Now, go back to him and fix your mistake by telling him why I don't want him to build a Temple to My name. Had you forgotten your job to always consult with Me first? He cannot build a temple to My name for he has shed too much blood. His son Solomon will do that instead. Bottom line is that Prophet Nathan could not speak for himself but be the spokesman between HaShem and His People. |
