Good one there. Yours is an inspiring story. I used your platform b4 it went down. I'm glad it's up and running now.
I wouldn't want to push it now but i'd close to 2000 units. Whats the quarantee that it won't go down Again?

Hello sir, have you checked the website lately? We've gotten good funding asides the fact that we have done well at keeping www.mobi2sms.com, a wonderfully available service.

He is saying those who have received abundant grace should not forget to be humble. It could be your turn tomorrow so don't make it seem like everyone who panics is lazy.

I've got 10 years+ experience off my sleeves but there are times I didn't have a job. Sometimes, people need the small job to pick up, then align with career requirements. These small jobs help you get up on your feet. Then, you can setup a repair shop.....unless you have a rich Uncle somewhere.

Sometimes all you ever needed was "confidence". Don't ever think you're not good enough. Express the worth you believe in, and make it sound terrific. That's why you'll often be seen as great because when you speak about it, you call it great in your confidence.

I got this WhatsApp broadcast from a friend about a vacancy for a programmer.

I'm not job seeking at the moment but I decided to give it a shot.
As instructed, I wrote to the person hiring by email with my CV attached.

He responded in a few hours by giving a welcoming reply seeking for the best time to call.
I got called the next morning and was given an impromptu phone interview.

I spoke with a lot of freedom because I have for long had confidence.
They shortlisted me for the final interview, just like that.

Remember, I wasn't hasty but however, I loved the offer.

Business / Re: What Will Happen To Bulk Sms With The NCC DO-NOT-DISTURB POLICY? by bosaonline(m): 3:28pm On Jul 14, 2016
ARE YOU STILL RUNNING AROUND LOOKING FOR A BETTER BULK SMS SERVICE PROVIDER DUE TO SMS DELIVERY FAILURES? STOP RIGHT THERE AND READ THIS!

Here is some great news from Mobi2SMS (www.mobi2sms.com)!

We have added a new service called 'DND Cleanup' that enables you clean up your recipient lists against numbers that were rejected due to the NCC mandated DND Restrictions by Nigerian Networks. This service was made to listen to delivery status from any network provider in the world.

Before now, when SMS is sent to numbers that have DND subscription active, they fail but you still get charged. However, we have turned on the DND Cleanup service by default so with immediate effect from now, any message you send would be filtered against previously failed numbers.

While we seek a direct resolve to this matter, this is just a work around and the objective is to ensure that you don't keep losing money. It's enough to send SMS to a DND active number once and then let the system protect you from wasting credits to the same number.
What happens when the DND status of the number is turned off? You may turn off the DND Cleanup for the respective recipient list and send the SMS again. That way, you are in control and can save more.

We hope this helps a great deal.

Regards

Career / Re: Starting A Career In IT by bosaonline(m): 2:35pm On Jan 06, 2013
Well, since you work with a bank, you can stick to financial solutions. Check out ERP products and services.
An example is www.openerp.com they have a partnership programme and have packaged training for those who intend doing business with them.

As a banker, you'll probably have around you, people who run businesses in the areas of Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, Warehousing, etc., with some experience as an ERP expert, you can serve these clients and earn cool money on this well polished untapped part of the I.T. market in Nigeria.

Hope this helps you find what you want.

@Paulipopor, we consistently carry out backups of our web and database servers for the service using a secure Cloud storage server.

With the introduction of the Sales Manager structure to the application, our resellers are "on their own" business from now on.
So, there is no staff in charge of sales of credits again. The company sells directly or offers Sales Managers the opportunity to buy at a cheaper price directly too.

This would ensure that no mismanagement issues arise and has in the past few months of our revival strengthened our business to be ready for the next level, version 5, which would allow users send Bulk SMS directly to the contacts on their phones.

We look forward to business growth in 2013 and remain optimistic.

Thanks.
Romance / Re: What Are The Things You Do That Kept Your Relationship by bosaonline(m): 6:19pm On Jan 05, 2013
The secret to a successful relationship is communication. For me, I talk about everything, even the complicated issues but gradually. With time, we got to understand ourselves.

Hard times come as often as fly. What we do is tolerance. It's unplanned. We just keep the fire of love burning by defending our uncountable reasons to love, by taking every moment that comes as another opportunity to try and make our relationship grow.

The road is hard but with time you would get to a point where you can't leave each other.

Remember, nobody can deny love, especially if it lasts for a long time. It becomes a way of life.

Check it out on www.mobi2sms.com , It even has a business opportunity for those who want to become Sales Managers.

To answer your question on the differences between mine and SMSLive247.com:

1. It is optimized for best view on mobile phones.
2. It has a business structure where resellers can make clean money.
3. Their price for 100 to 4999 credits is N1.95 but Mobi2SMS offers 100 to 9,900 credits for N1.50.
4. For 5 million credits, they still charge N1.35 but Mobi2SMS offers N1.00 from 10,000 credits and above.
5. Mine offers a business plan for those who want to start a very big business through it, the application resources are properly accounted for.

So, please tell me what you think.

Thanks.
Career / Re: Which I.T. Career Is The Best, Most Lucrative And Most Profitable? by bosaonline(m): 10:16am On Jan 01, 2013
The most lucrative business is "Technical Support" but the most profitable is "Software Development".

If you can do both, you would make a fortune but if you are a one man team, start by developing one software for a cheap cost or even free then factor in support fees for using it. Ensure the software meets one need for both the middle class and high class citizens of Nigeria and you'll never be poor.

If you are to do a training programme, learn the skills of computing on your own first. After that, you can achieve anything. Get a good laptop and make friends with a professional. Serve him for years until you are good enough. When, you're good, take a training course and your future is sealed.

Good luck!
Career / How I Made Bulk SMS Business Lucrative After School by bosaonline(m): 10:05am On Jan 01, 2013
This is a very painful experience but is Indeed a successful venture.....I learnt my lessons from Donald Trump's book titled "Never Give Up".

In November 2010, it was about 2 weeks to my final year project defense and my project supervisor asked me to work on Parcel Management System. In that year, I already had 10 years experience as a programmer and just wanted to walk out of school and continue my personal life pursuit on being a developer of Enterprise Resource Systems. Instead of doing my project, I had a better idea.

I called a few friends together, and we held a meeting. There I asked them, "Do you know about Bulk SMS businesses?". I got a common, "YES...." (with a sigh of what about it?) because it was already rampant. So, I asked further, "People often spend time and resources trying to use a computer to send SMS at all times, why can't they use their Blackberry or Nokia phones?" and my friend's collectively responded, "The pages are too heavy and they would take time to load".

It was in Benjamin's presence, I opened the first workspace for the development of my biggest business. I left the meeting abruptly and put on my laptop and immediately started work. He promised to join me but he couldn't followup with my 24 hour schedule on the believed to be, "lousy project".

I struggled to meet my supervisor and showed him what I had done. He asked me who told me to work on Bulk SMS but I begged him so he refused and asked me to go and come back. Fortunately, I had my system with him so I opened the website and sent him a test SMS and he got it in my own sender name. He looked at my code and looked at me and told me to go ahead but not to let the sophistication of my project make me lose balance as they would say I didn't do it myself.

On my defense day, I was disorganized, like a bridegroom who was late for his wedding. My project work books where in one hand, my tie in another. I wore my shoes on the run and held my belt tightly on my way out. While others where waiting and dressing up, making up, I rushed to my course rep. and said I was ready so he invited me in immediately.

I spent 30 minutes in the room with my supervisor, two externals and an expert lecturer who is a programmer and termed "the most experienced Computer Science lecturer". Time allowed for defense was 3 minutes but my externals were so interested in my what I was saying as they saw future in it, they nodded their heads as they gave me an "A".

Then, the master programmer (the intelligent lecturer), spent 25 minutes trying to accuse me of copying someone else's work, that it's impossible for a student to do this much but unfortunately I defeated him by proving to him that every license and registration for the project was in my name and Benjamin, was the assistant to the supervisors holding the defense programme so he interrupted and said, "Sir, I was there when he started the first page...". My external supervisors at this point said, "Enough! The student has defended his project!". So, the only mistake I made was to put copyright statements in the project work which I eventually removed.

Immediately, after school, I monetized the site and started making good money. I had two resellers and the business grew till the extent I made so much money that I could hire servers enough to run a standard software company until one day.....I had a financial disagreement with a customer and that led to a legal pay off and bad news, "....the business failed!".

Few months later, I looked at myself and said, "Never Give Up". I called a few people together and planned with them. They laughed at me cos they knew it was over but I remember the saying, "It's Not Over Until You Win". I soon got an angel investment of about N50,000 which I used to build the site back from the pieces I had with me and host it again and purchase the credits. I had to do other businesses, work under people, serve them like a slave. I had to run errands for men who should have paid me well but I wanted my dream back.

Today, my dream was come through in it's fourth version. The site is now rich and I have learnt my lessons and I'm now back on my feet.

Webmasters / It's About Time Nairaland Became A Social Network by bosaonline(m): 5:51pm On Oct 10, 2012
Yes,

Finally I want to speak my mind. I think Nairaland should be a social network by now. Sleek views, Live Chat, Walls, Friends Lists, Images, Videos, etc.
It should have it's mobile version where one can just put a topic or link up a blog/thread and call it a status.

In this network, we can have a new place called "Trending Topics" and you can get status messages from quotes and expressions there, and even the topics.

My view is that Nairaland can be a Social Network for sharing Trending topics to those who would Read/Discuss/Comment on the topics. These topics may then be distributed among those who share the same interest. In that way, we don't have to always come to Nairaland to be social, rather, we make Nairaland a social network that brings us together from wherever we are to stay informed about ourselves and the society.

Anyone with ideas how this can be made possible?
