The Police are conducting an investigation to find the killer, it is not possible for the Police to zero in on the killer without an investigation as it will not stand up in court, there is a procedure which needs to be followed.

After making an FIR at the scene of the crime, the body needs to be sent for a Post Mortem, which is what the Police were doing when the hearse taking the body to the hospital was stopped en-route by Nigerians who took the law into their own hands, and started trashing the Police.

I am from Goa, and let me tell you what actually happened.

For some strange reason, over 1000 Nigerian citizens have come and settled down in a village in Goa, by the name of Parra, currently outnumbering the local villagers, this has caused some amount of resentment in the area, particularly as most of the Nigerians are illegal and without any documents. Due to their illegal status, they are unable to work in the formal sector, and most are involved in selling drugs, resulting in a number of gang fights amongst themselves, and particularly with the Russian mafia (which also sells drugs) over territorial issues.

Goa is home to thousands of foreigners, as a matter of fact over 50% of our population is migrants, mostly from other parts of India, but also over 100,000 British, 70,000 Russians and about 30,000 Israelis, so a few thousand Nigerians don't really bother any Goans, considering that our entire state population is less than one and a half million. Goa has no history of racism, as Goa is also home to many thousands from Mozambique, Angola and East Timor.

Let me tell you something about my home Goa. Goa is the richest state in India with a per capita income equivalent to Argentina, it is also the most developed state in India with very high levels of literacy (nearly 95% adult, and 100% child) and near zero violence and civil disorder. Our economy depends on tourism, mining and health services. Over 6 million foreign tourists visit Goa every year flying in directly from the UK, Scandinavia, Russia, Israel amongst others, this is a ready market for drugs, which is controlled by the Nigerians and the Russians, who regularly fight each other for territory.

Goa is a recent addition to India, It was an overseas district of Portugal for over 450 years, and according to Portuguese law all Goans are deemed to be Portuguese by birth and descent, and are eligible for Portuguese Citizen Cards, and Portuguese European Union passports, despite holding both Portuguese and Indian passports most Goans still prefer to live in Goa rather than move to Europe, which they can very easily do, because we love Goa and welcome people from all over the world here.

The Nigerian protesters yesterday blocked off a major road in the state for over 4 hours, they also beat up the unarmed Police who went to pacify them, this is totally wrong, we have had no rioting here in decades, so are stunned by these developments.
