Youth leaders of the South South region under the aegis of the COALITION OF SOUTH SOUTH YOUTH LEADERS met in Calabar on Friday, 21st November, 2015 and after appraising the situation in the country and the claim by some unauthorized persons who claimed to be South South leaders that the South South is not part of Biafra, hereby state as follows

1 The entire South South region is part and parcel of Biafra land.

2 The South East and South South have common cultural and historic heritage,

3 We call for the immediate release of Nnamdi Kanu, the Director of Radio Biafra

4 We warn the Nigerian Army not to do anything that will escalate the situation in the area.

5. We however still believe in one United Nigeria as long as justice and equity will prevail in the land.

That the name Biafra is sacrosanct and there is nothing wrong if the people of South East and South South decide they be called Biafrans but within Nigeria.

6 That Mr President should assure Biafrans that he does not hate them through his actions and conduct.

7 That nobody mandated those elements that went to Calabar recently to desclaim Biafra to speak on behalf of the South South. The South South was, is and will continue to be part of Biafra land but within Nigeria.

EFCC Arrests Amnesty Office Consultants And Contractors Over Billion Naira Scam
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arrested eight consultants and contractors of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. A source at the Commission gave the names of the suspects as Kanmi Adediran, Tumo Yetunde. Collins Omokhojie, Oluboye Adedokun, Ugala Jaachinma, Olukoya Olusegun Godwin, Oyinmi-ebi Bribena and Olukayode Raimi.

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) today arrested eight consultants and contractors of the Presidential Amnesty Programme. A source at the Commission gave the names of the suspects as Kanmi Adediran, Tumo Yetunde. Collins Omokhojie, Oluboye Adedokun, Ugala Jaachinma, Olukoya Olusegun Godwin, Oyinmi-ebi Bribena and Olukayode Raimi.

They were taken into custody early today and are still being quizzed by a team of operatives at the headquarters of the EFCC in the Wuse area of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The source disclosed that the arrest of the suspects is in continuation of the Commission’s investigation of the tenure of Kingsley Kuku as head of the Presidential Amnesty Office. Kuku has been out of the country since news of the investigation leaked in the media, ostensibly on medical grounds.

Although details of their infraction was still sketchy as of press time, it was gathered that they are being grilled over issues of contract scams running into billion of naira, as their companies are alleged to have underperformed after collecting heavy mobilization fees from the Amnesty office. In some of the cases, almost 95 percent of the contract value was paid the contractors, yet the structures on ground are a far cry from the amount collected.

It is also being alleged that most of the contracts did not follow due process. Among the contracts affected include the ones for the vocational training centers in Ondo and Bayelsa State.

Some of the companies fingered in the alleged scam include, Delse Project Limited, Masterpiece Construction Company Limited, Eternity Consult Limited, Zomy Civil Construction Limited and Tolsega Consul Nigeria Limited. Others are Stracosplan, Sourme Global Creations limited, Riddle Construction Limited and Revelation Pact Limited.

OH, the difference is clear! when these people protest you see civility, nobody hurt or even molested. They sing and even help in organizing traffic. On the other hand Northern Nigerians would have done what they know best VIOLENCE. Killing harmless protesters, intimidating them with confiscating their properties threatening to annihilation of a people just because they want to be on their own, detonating bombs in churches and market places, no wonder Nigeria is now the world’s third most terrorized nation. If Kanu had been financing terrorism Britain's anti terror and other European security agencies would have stumbled upon it way long before Nigeria's thuggish Daura Secret Services (DSS). The legitimate struggle for self-determination is now terrorism, while the real terrorists, Boko Haram members are being released daily from prison as misguided brothers. Is either GMB is not listening to his advisers or they're telling him what he want to hear. IPOB and nnamdi kanu was not that popular before his arrest. Now he’s recognized more than Ojukwu due to GMB'S dumpness . Buhari should treat with care to avoid this huge trap set for him... It happened in Hong Kong but Chinese government handled it maturely. It is high time the FG call the Biafra agitators for a discussion and possible resolving the gray areas. FG should not allow it to grow bigger before start managing it. That was how Boko Haram was allowed to grow into tetrahedral and hydra headed monster today. Also it was the same way Syrian president thought that he will just throw bomb and it will be over, but today he has almost wiped away the entire country, yet the problem is still there. Infact Syrian president is now governing mostly rumbles and mass grave wards, while most part of Syrians populations are now refugees in all parts of Europe. Nigeria should call for referendum as the most sensible way of resolving the issue, let the Biafrans decide their destiny.
