My brother don't even near the S6 edge oooh. It's got very poor battery life and overheating issues. But the S6 edge plus is much better, though that one too still has an abysmal battery performance but slightly better than the S6 edge.

You believe everything that the white man tells you, maybe your direct grandparents were slaves and you have a dominant inheritance of their genes. Dumb monkey like you. Don't you know the purpose of wireless charging is to be able to move your phone around and still charge at the same time? I cannot argue with you because you will never comprehend as we communicate at different levels.

Apple do not rush into exhibition of technology. That is the biggest undoing of Samsung. They want to quickly implement a feature just to please their gullible fans and in so doing make fatal errors in the process. This is evidenced by the fatal mishaps globally being caused by the notorious Note 7. Apple on the other hand take their time to design features that will stand the rigors of time. Have you googled the processes involved in manufacturing the jet black iPhone 7? You will know Apple put a lot of work into their products. Samsung mobile cannot be compared to Apple under any context. Quote me anytime; Apple will never put inductive charging into their device and call it wireless charging. They are much smarter than that. When they are ready for wireless charging the world will know.

Until then you can continue to place your android phones on your charging mat and enjoy your pseudo-wireless charging.

Difference between charging pad and iPhone Dock?

Charging pad don't have any charging pin that has to be slotted in charging port. you simply drop the phone on it and it charges. This can prolong your charging port or you can charge your phone even if you have a bad charging port.

IPHONE dock has pins just like a regular charger head. It won't charge if you don't plug it in. Disadvantage: Once your charging port goes bad your iPhone Dock is as useless as your charger.

But in both cases you still have to leave the phone on one spot to be charged right? So how is it wireless?

Greenhulk your best shot now is the Galaxy Note 5 while we both wait for next year's iPhone and hope it will be a major overhaul of the present iteration. Me personally I don't think I can use any other phone apart from iPhone henceforth. I'm so loving Apple Music already.

What is wireless charging really?

Samsung introduced Inductive Charging technology and they called it Wireless Charging

No available smartphone at the moment is equipped with wireless charging technology. The true electromagnetic wireless charging is yet to come. According to Physics, wireless charging obeys the "Inverse Square Law" and energy is dissipated over a particular distance to reach the device that's being charged. There is no need to place the device on an inductive pad like what Samsung presently supports. The present Samsung inductive charging is not completely wireless because you still have to place your phone on a charging pad and the charging pad still has to be plugged to the wall. So right now No device supports "True" wireless charging as yet.

It is likely that the 2017 or 2018 iPhone may come with this Technology.

Believe me, Apple are saving so much for next year's iPhone. Ordinarily they would have revolutionized the design this year because with Apple a new number is a new design. So I guess they seriously have their 10th anniversary in mind.

I see no reason why someone that owns an iPhone 6s will switch to iPhone 7 especially when it is likely the next iPhone will be a MAJOR design upgrade because of their anniversary. The iPhone 7 ensign is already a 3 year old design.
