Demystifying Dementia Hehe, come ooo, I read something recently that made my eyes go and my head go I feel I needed to share with y'all. I wrote about my confusion with Diastema and Dementia recently. By now if you've never come across the word before, now you know what it is. Do you know that old age is not what causes dementia? You know it occurs mostly in old people. Dementia is actually caused by a redundant brain. A brain that no longer engages in active exercises. A brain no longer tasked. You think you're old so you're forgetting stuff... Na lie. You forget stuff because you stopped engaging your brain. Infact, I even learnt this is why mathematians live long... Hmmm. Infact writing this now brought Prof Wole Soyinka to mind. Have you ever wondered if that man is aging at all? He seems to be aging backwards. Forget the white hair... Everyone now has white hair. Even my 16yr old son. Now I see the reason... Wow... He's a great writer, you can't be a writer and not read books and lots of it. And apparently he's still actively engaged in reading and writing. Listen up! Nobody cares about how old you are but you. People only care about what you can do, and you can do anything you want, at any age. If you catch yourself thinking that you are too old to do something you want to do, you're listening to the pessimistic voice inside of you. It's lack of use that causes the brain to become less sharp not aging according to Dr Monte Buchsbaum. Take up anything intellectually challenging to keep the brain sharp, no matter what age you are. The memory loss and mental passivity we believe is caused by old age is simply lack of Use. Mental activity keeps you alive. Lose your mental challenges and life itself fades away. Keep it and add more healthy years to your years. Cheers

Say Goodbye to Fat. Hot water helps to break down and shed fat faster. I can directly testify to this. It helped me in my weight loss journey greatly. Try this experiment out to confirm this yourself: Try putting cold water in one glass with some fat and hot water in another with fat to see what happens. The cold fat hardens and remains, while the hot fat melts. A theory suggests that hot water stays in your stomach a little longer when compared to cold water. This means you feel fuller for a longer period, which might aid weight loss. Slows Down Aging. Drinking hot water increases your internal body temperature. Although temporarily, this activates your body’s endocrine system, and you begin to sweat. This can help rid your body of toxins. Toxins in the body can also make you age faster. Clearing them may slow down signs of aging. Hydration is vital to our health. We need water for a million reasons but most importantly it prevents us from shrivelling up and keeping wrinkles at bay. I was just about 9yrs old, playing in the compound when a stereotyped church member, a woman, somehow held and felt my palms, and the next thing, she went straight to my mum. Well, we lived in the pastorium, as my Dad was a resident pastor. So this woman marched upstairs to meet my mum. Ask me what she went to tell her... Honestly, aproko no get age limit, I promise you. I mean this woman went to my mum to give her a piece of advice after feeling my palms. You'll wonder what the advice is? No, you can't even guess... She told my mum to put me to more chores (read that as 'labor') as my palms were too soft for a budding young lady! Oh yes, that was it! My mum just laughed it off and thanked her. The evidence of my being a 'spoiled pampered' child who doesn't lift a finger and faced with the danger of becoming a lazy woman and wife in future is my overly-soft palms, in her judgment. Years into adulthood, I wonder why the palms have refused to harden now that I've seen and experienced life in the daily quest to put food on my table. Mscheew! As an adult, living in Nigeria, I realized we have been stereotyped into believing the only way to survival is by 'hustling'. Which is the term we use for 'daily hard labour'. That's why, everywhere, we read posts like, 'Hustle oooo, so that one day, somebody's son will not send you out of the house.' 'Hustle oooo, so that one day they will not collect your wife...' Everywhere... Hustle, hustle, hustle... And we're living it out daily! Hustling! Well, I’m here to tell you it’s complete B.S! Stop hustling, start leveraging!!! Personally, I have finally taken a decision to get out of this bandwagon called Hustling. Hustling is just a Belief System, ... Yes, working hard is a given, but today, you need not work 20hrs from 24hrs we have per day just to make a few extra thousand per month! You only get burned out with no result. You become a slave to money. So here's what I've come to realize... The key to business success is LEVERAGE, NOT HUSTLE. Focus on leveraging my friend, Leveraging on a system Leveraging on relationships Leveraging on partnerships Leveraging on technology. Leveraging on the avalanche of opportunities on the Internet My sister, leverage oooo, and stop the hustling My brother, leverage oooo, and stop the hustling! You’ll be playing a completely different ball game. All you need to do is 'follow who know road', meaning : Leverage!!! Good morning. Tife cares.
