Politics › Re: Funso Doherty Resigns From PDP by boxypane: 6:05pm On Mar 29 |
naptu2: Mr Doherty contested the 2023 Lagos gubernatorial election on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and secured the fourth position in the poll. He, however, dumped the ADC for the PDP in 2024.
The ADC, previously regarded as a mushroom party, has gained momentum after Doherty’s exit following its adoption by prominent figures as an opposition coalition for the 2027 general elections.
Doherty, who had earlier declared his 2027 guber ambition, is yet to disclose his next destination after PDP exit, however people are speculating that he is returning to the ADC. Of course he's returning to the ADC. They don't build or norture. They only want to eat what they never sowed. Some politicians will go bankrupt this season. |

The terrible mistakes Nigerians have been making in choosing their leaders. Wonder why peoples decisions on leadership is shaped by negative factors: it's either they are lesser thieves or a rebranded thief. An example is the case of the power play today. Can't we rally amongst ourselves and find a leader capable of taking Nigeria to that great pedestal. When Tinubu leaves too, he might look like a Messiah in the long run... These thieves only talk about grabbing or dislodging but never on policies or efforts needed to make her great. The one that used to has now joined the thieves that one to come in... |

nairalanda1: I pay bills son, and I work for a private concern whose monetary profit is dependent on almost all customers paying the price we set for our services.
You on the other hand think that a power company can survive when 80% of its customers are not paying the price it sets, and many of those 80% don\t even pay at all...and yet you expect power supply.
You are the one who hasn't paid bills in your life, or even understood how a business works, granddad. I heard you're not from here. Wonder why you decided to badge into a discuss that doesn't concern your large mouth. All I read from your response was bla bla bla. Do well to mind your business. |

Politics › Re: Women Block Disco Officials From Disconnecting Power by boxypane: 6:50am On Mar 28 |
nairalanda1: Yeah, these people are part of why we don't have light.
I mean , they refuse to pay for the power they use and somehow expect power to improve magically.
And like Nigerians, like their leaders.
Anyone quoting me to abuse me, remember that there are many people who are not paying for the power they use over the decades and that means that the sector has been losing money to pay for improvement
Which is why we don't have light in the first place
Also there are many who have had no light yet don't get disconnected because they still pay their bills
Finally, government is forcing the power sector to charge less than the production cost of power to help the poor. Result losses and thus no money to pay gas companies and no light.
If you don't understand this, sorry I. Now I understand, it's either you just started paying bills or you've never paid bills. |
