If you've been searching for who can draw and paint a portrait from a photograph in Nigeria, the short answer is: Ayeola Ayodeji, a Nigeria-based portrait artist who transforms ordinary photographs into hand-painted works of art for clients in Nigeria and abroad.

Whether you have a phone snapshot of a loved one, a wedding photo, an old picture of a parent who has passed on, or a favorite photo of your pet, Ayodeji can turn that image into a portrait painting you can hang on your wall, gift to family, or keep as a lasting keepsake.

About Ayeola Ayodeji, Portrait Artist

Ayeola Ayodeji is a professional portrait painter based in Nigeria with an established painting practice built around one core skill: taking a photograph and turning it into a realistic, expressive, hand-painted portrait. Ayodeji works with clients both locally and internationally, and accepts commissions that can be paid in USD, making the process simple for clients outside Nigeria. instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ayeolaayodeji/

Portraits are created to order, based on the photo (or photos) a client provides, and can be tailored to different sizes, styles, and finishes depending on what the piece is for — a home, an office, or a gift.

Types of Portraits Ayeola Ayodeji Paints From Photos

Ayodeji specializes in several portrait categories, each suited to a different occasion:

Family portraits — turning a family photo into a single painted piece, great for anniversaries, reunions, or as a centerpiece for the home.
Wedding portraits — a couple's wedding-day photo reimagined as a painting, a popular anniversary or engagement gift.
Pet portraits — a beloved cat, dog, or other pet immortalized in paint from a photo, for pet owners who want something more personal than a printed photo.
Memorial portraits — a tribute portrait of a parent, grandparent, or loved one who has passed away, painted from whatever photograph the family has available. This is one of the most emotionally meaningful services Ayodeji offers, giving families a lasting, dignified way to remember someone.

How the Photo-to-Portrait Process Works

For anyone unfamiliar with how photo-to-portrait commissions typically work, the general process looks like this:

Send a soft copy of the photo. You share the photograph (or photographs) you'd like turned into a portrait to the artist whatsapp +234 8052272655
.
Discuss size and style. You and the artist agree on the size of the piece and any details — background, framing, black-and-white vs. color, etc.
Payment. International clients can pay in USD.
Painting. The portrait is hand-painted based on the reference photo.
Delivery. The finished portrait is shared with you (and shipped or delivered, depending on your location).

Why Work With an Artist Based in Nigeria?

Commissioning a portrait from a Nigeria-based International artist like Ayeola Ayodeji offers a few advantages for both local and international clients:

Skilled, hands-on craftsmanship — each portrait is painted, not printed or generated by software.
Personal communication — you can discuss exactly what you want directly with the artist.
Accessible pricing — Nigeria-based artists are often able to offer competitive rates compared to portrait studios in the US, UK, or Europe, without compromising on quality.

International-friendly payment — USD payment options mean clients outside Nigeria can commission a piece without complicated currency conversion hassles.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a portrait really be painted from just a phone photo? Yes. A clear photo — even one taken on a phone — is usually enough to work from, though higher-resolution images with good lighting tend to produce the best results.

What occasions are photo portraits good for? Weddings, anniversaries, birthdays, housewarmings, memorials, and pet-owner gifts are all common reasons people commission a hand-painted portrait from a photo.

How do I get started? Reach out with the photo you'd like turned into a portrait via whatsapp +234 8052272655 or his inbox instagram: https://www.instagram.com/ayeolaayodeji/ and Ayeola Ayodeji will guide you through sizing, style, and pricing from there.
