Sports / ⚽ Rivaldo: If Messi Leaves Barça, I Imagine Him In China ⚽ by BPROExprert: 11:07am On Feb 14, 2020

RIVALDO: IF MESSI LEAVES BARÇA, I IMAGINE HIM IN CHINA

Despite Lionel Messi's oft-repeated statements that he isn't going to leave Barcelona so far, the football community keeps talking about his possible departure. The Brazilian footballer Rivaldo is no exception.

The former striker gave an exclusive interview to Betfair and said that Messi is a 'one-club player', just like Francesco Totti from A.S. Roma. Rivaldo can hardly imagine Leo playing against Barça in the Champions League. According to him, if the legendary footballer ever leaves the Catalans, he will likely play outside Europe, in China or the US.

Rumors that Messi might leave Barcelona at the end of this season arose last week, amid the player's conflict with the sports director Eric Abidal. It was suggested that Leo could go back under the wing of his favorite coach Pep Guardiola, who is in charge of Manchester City. On the other hand, Guardiola says Messi should stay at Barça.

Another popular rumor is that Leo may transfer to Juventus, the Italian club Cristiano Ronaldo plays for. It would certainly be interesting to see the duo of the two old rivals. However, Rivaldo is sure this will never happen.

ZINEDINE ZIDANE EXPECTS ISCO TO PLAY BETTER

Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane praised Isco for scoring a goal in the away match against Osasuna. At the same time he said he'd love to see more results from the footballer. This year, the Spanish midfielder has participated in 14 matches for Los Blancos, but yesterday's goal was his first one. The match ended 1:4 in favor of the Madrid club.

Despite the low performance of Isco this season, Zidane spoke positively about him during the after-match press conference, calling him an important team member. In particular, the coach appreciated his talent and technique. In addition, Zinedine expressed admiration for the game of Gareth Bale, who took part in the last three matches after a long treatment.

Basically, the coach is satisfied with the team, although he admits that the match wasn't easy. Real Madrid leads La Liga, three points ahead of its main rival Barcelona.

Sports / ⚽ Messi Makes Hat-trick Of Assists In Match Against Real Betis ⚽ by BPROExprert: 3:54pm On Feb 10, 2020

MESSI MAKES HAT-TRICK OF ASSISTS IN MATCH AGAINST REAL BETIS

Last Sunday, Barcelona played against Real Betis in the 23rd La Liga round. The Catalan club won 3:2. Notably, all 3 goals were scored off an assist from Lionel Messi. Evidently, Leo decided to step aside as a finisher and give way to younger players: Frenkie de Jong, Sergio Busquets, and Clément Lenglet.

Thus, Messi is the second footballer to perform a hat-trick and three assists in the season 2019-20. The first one was the 23-year-old RB Leipzig player Timo Werner. In the current La Liga season, Messi has scored 14 goals and made 11 assists, which means he is one of two players to have double figures in both categories. Another one is the young English footballer Jadon Sancho, who plays for Borussia Dortmund.

Apparently, La Liga was right when declared Messi the best assistant. The last 5 goals scored by Barcelona are the result of Lionel's passes. Following the Sky Sport report, the football superstar will keep delighting Barça fans with his outstanding game. Despite a conflict with the club's sports director Eric Abidal, Messi decided to stay at Barcelona.

Sports / ⚽ Liverpool Youth Team Beats Shrewsbury Town ⚽ by BPROExprert: 2:49pm On Feb 07, 2020

LIVERPOOL YOUTH TEAM BEATS SHREWSBURY TOWN

The FA Cup replay Liverpool vs. Shrewsbury Town ended unexpectedly. The head coach of the Reds, Jürgen Klopp, who had promised to play the youth team, kept his word: the average age of Liverpool players in the match was 19 years old. Unlike the main squad, the youngsters have managed to win.

The meeting ended 1-0, although the victory of the Reds was rather a luck: Shrewsbury defender Ro-Shaun Williams scored an own goal. However, some Liverpool footballers could distinguish themselves during the game: captain Curtis Jones and defender Neco Williams, whose goal was ruled out for offside. Neil Critchley, the manager of Liverpool U23s, took charge for the replay instead of Klopp, who missed the game due to the winter break.

Klopp, by the way, has been super-lucky this season: he took a risk by fielding youngsters in the FA Cup 4th round replay, but Liverpool ultimately won. According to Shrewsbury Town manager Sam Ricketts, Klopp’s decision to rest his main squad has cost Shrewsbury a significant amount of revenue. And the worst part is that they have dropped out of the tournament.

Tottenham Hotspur coach Jose Mourinho also commented on Klopp's policy. According to him, Jürgen does what he wants and even goes against the rules. He himself hasn't given his players time off over the mid-season break.

Sports / ⚽ Campbell: Arsenal Shouldn't Lose Aubameyang ⚽ by BPROExprert: 11:34am On Feb 07, 2020

CAMPBELL: ARSENAL SHOULDN'T LOSE AUBAMEYANG

Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s contract with Arsenal expires this summer, which means the club needs to take care of its renewal. If the Gunners fail to sign Pierre for the next season games, they will have to sell the footballer. This may lead to the strengthening of a rival team. This opinion was expressed by Kevin Campbell, who played for the London club from 1988 to 1995.

Unlike another Arsenal former player Paul Merson, who said last month that the Gunners shouldn't worry about losing Aubameyang, Campbell sees Pierre as a valuable team-member. According to him, Arsenal should offer better conditions to the footballer so that they fit his ambitions. If he leaves, the club will have to use funds from his sale to strengthen the squad.

During the January transfer window, FC Barcelona was thinking about buying Aubameyang. Ultimately, the Catalans have failed to get anyone. Now that Barça needs an emergency replacement, the new signing has to be a La Liga player.

MESSI IS CLOSER THAN EVER TO LEAVING BARCELONA

In recent days, the situation in FC Barcelona has been at a boiling point. The Catalan club is facing a crisis, and the point is not that the club's forwards Luis Suárez and Ousmane Dembélé are out of games until the end of the season. The situation may be much worse if Lionel Messi says goodbye to the team because of serious disagreements with the club’s sports director Eric Abidal. The football star's contract with Blaugrana expires this summer, but he is in no hurry to resign it.

The conflict was caused by the interview Abidal had with the Spanish newspaper on Tuesday. The sports director said that the leadership of Barça and “many players” weren’t satisfied with how the club's former coach Ernesto Valverde was doing his job. Soon after that, Messi, who had always supported Valverde, wrote on Instagram that people should be responsible for their words, and asked to give specific names.

Considering that Abidal and Messi are in talks about the contract renewal, the situation is far from okay. Barcelona risks losing its top player for the first time since Messi joined the club. The Spanish press is in a panic. According to Francisco José Carrasco, a retired footballer and an expert at Mundo Deportivo, he'd never have thought Barcelona would end up in a situation like this.

The Italian weekly newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport has even compiled a list of teams that Leo can join. Only a few European clubs can afford such an expensive player: Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City, Manchester United, Juventus, or Inter Milan.

Sports / Charlie Adam: Salah Disposable If Liverpool Can Get Mbappé by BPROExprert: 1:36pm On Feb 06, 2020

Charlie Adam: Salah Disposable if Liverpool Can Get Mbappé

The former Liverpool midfielder Charlie Adam spoke about the possible transfer of Kylian Mbappé from Paris Saint-Germain. According to him, the coach of the Reds Jürgen Klopp became interested in Mbappé at the World Cup in 2018, when the player was named the best young player. However, Jürgen had no chance to buy him out. Nevertheless, Kilian has been a perfect candidate for Liverpool, who can significantly strengthen their attack line.

Buying Mbappé would cost Klopp a lot, especially if Kylian's contract with PSG until the summer of 2022 is prematurely terminated. That is why back in November, Jürgen outlined his position regarding the footballer. He called himself Mbappé's big fan, but admitted that the club simply can't afford him.

Adam suggests the situation may change if Liverpool wins the Premier League. If the club decides to buy Kylian, it will have to pay at least £200 million. In such a case, Klopp is likely to sell the winger Mohammed Salah. This means the Egyptian has to do his best to stay in the game. During the season 2019-20, Salah has played 22 matches and scored 14 goals for Liverpool.

Who will win Euro 2020? The favourites, outsiders, underdogs & latest odds

Portugal are the reigning champions after seeing off France in 2016 but who are the frontrunners to lift the trophy next time?

Euro 2020 qualifying is almost complete with 20 of the 24 available places in the tournament already taken.

There are no automatic qualifying berths for this tournament due to 12 different countries holding matches in the finals, meaning every side had to get there in the usual ways of winning the group or winning a play-off.

Who are the favourites to win Euro 2020?

England are 4/1 favourites with bet365 to win the European Championships for the first time ever after finishing fourth at the previous World Cup.

Gareth Southgate guided the Three Lions to their joint-best finish and will now have his sights set on winning Euro 2020.

The final is being held at Wembley, which would certainly be a storybook ending to the tournament for the second-favourites who have previously never reached the showpiece.

Belgium are at 5/1 to win Euro 2020 and claim their first major trophy in history, having previously lost the final in 1980 and finished at the 2018 World Cup.

The Red Devils are certainly one of the most talented squads in the world, boasting the likes of Eden Hazard, Kevin De Bruyne and Romelu Lukaku, and have been tipped by many to finally make their golden generation count.

Who are the Euro 2020 underdogs?

World champions France are 13/2 with bet365 to win Euro 2020. This would mark the second time they have held both the World Cup and the European Championship simultaneously, having also done so in 2000.

Les Bleus have won the European Championships twice in their history and were runners-up in 2016. Victory next summer would see them move level with Germany and Spain on three championships.

Didier Deschamps’ men won six and drew one of their matches on the way to winning the World Cup in 2018, beating Croatia 4-2 in the final to lift the Jules Rimet for the second time.

Netherlands failed to qualify for the last two major tournaments but are also 13/2 to win Euro 2020 after seemingly turning around their fortunes.

Led by Virgil van Dijk, the Oranje won their Nations League group before being edged out 1-0 in the inaugural final by Portugal and, as such, are assured of at least a play-off place regardless of how well they do in Euro 2020 qualifying.

Spain are available at 8/1 to become the most successful team at the European Championships by winning their fourth title.

La Roja won the competition in 2008 and 2012, becoming the first side to retain the title in the process, and will be aiming to make up for a disappointing showing at the 2018 World Cup.

Bet365 offer 9/1 on Germany casting aside the ignominy of a group stage exit at the World Cup by winning Euro 2020.

Despite going into that tournament as champions, Joachim Low’s men lost twice and then, to add insult to injury, were relegated from their Nations League after failing to win any of their four games.

Italy are also available at 9/1 to bounce back from their own failure to reach the last World Cup by claiming their second European Championship title.

The Azzurri have never missed consecutive major tournaments and should have few problems making the finals as they search for a first continental title since 1968.

Who are the Euro 2020 outsiders?

Holders and Nations League champions Portugal are 16/1 to repeat their success of 2016 by becoming the second side the retain the championship after Spain achieved the feat in 2012.

Bet365 price Croatia at 25/1, with Ukraine quoted at 66/1 whilst Switzerland and Denmark are both available at 80/1.
