SAPELE STATE CONSTITUENCY: MY CHANCES ARE BRIGHT – KINGSLEY AKPEDERIN Delta lawyer, Kingsley Akpederin, on Wednesday formally declared his intention to run for the Sapele State Constituency election in 2027, saying he has a bright chance of winning the House of Assembly election. "The advantage I have over my rivals is that I have more experience in grassroots mobilization and reach. I also have the confidence of the majority of people who have continually been reaching out to me to go into the ring again" He also said his decision to contest in 2027 was informed by the need to shift from top-down directives to participatory governance where citizens define, track and influence policy implementation. Akpederin, a contestant on the platform of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), spoke to journalists in Asaba on his House of Assembly bid, 2027 elections and plans for the wonderful people of Sapele. He identified economic and social development, security, welfare, accountability and digital governance as key pillars of a genuine people-centered agenda. "Decisions are made daily by those in government which affect all of us. If we neglect to participate in politics, we would have got ourselves into a situation whereby the worst of us decide so much which affects our lives and those of our children and our future. Politics determines whether public resources would be directed to the welfare of the people or would be misappropriated for matters not beneficial to the people or even squandered. So in a nutshell, my decision to participate in politics is to contribute to having a government that has an agenda for the people" The renowned community leader labeled participation as the hallmark of representative democracy. "It is good that many persons are interested in contesting for the position of House Assembly position. It means if we have a free and fair election, there would be an array of candidates that the people can choose from. Participation is the hallmark of representative democracy" He scored the National Assembly high for the introduction of biometrics and electronic processes in the country’s elections. "This is the fourth time I am running for the same office. Unfortunately, most of the time, the Electoral Process did not always afford the people the opportunity to choose the person they truly desire. There was a time that one person could have several voter cards and vote several times. There was even a time that figures were just capriciously allotted to candidates by compromised presiding officers of Polling Units. But with the introduction of elements of biometrics and electronic processes in our elections, we hope to get a more credible process and outcome"

Hon. Lanre Edun Exemplifies Politics of Peace, Humanity and Statesmanship at APC House of Representatives Screening in Abuja In an era where political contests are too often defined by hostility, division and aggressive rivalry, Hon. Lanre Edun has once again demonstrated that true leadership is measured not merely by political ambition but by character, humility and the ability to foster unity even in moments of competition. The atmosphere at the All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives screening exercise in Abuja recently became the center of admiration and public discourse as Hon. Lanre Edun displayed an uncommon act of political maturity and statesmanship by warmly engaging and taking photographs with fellow constituency contenders, Hon. Tolulope Philip and Hon. Abolore Sodrudeen. The remarkable gesture, witnessed by party stakeholders, delegates, supporters and political observers, was widely interpreted as a powerful symbol of peace, mutual respect and democratic civility within the ruling party. At a time when political tensions frequently create divisions among supporters and aspirants, Hon. Edun’s conduct stood out as a refreshing reminder that politics can still be driven by humanity, brotherhood and collective progress. Observers at the screening venue described the moment as one of the most inspiring highlights of the exercise, noting that the display of camaraderie among the aspirants reflected a deeper commitment to party unity and the advancement of democratic ideals above personal interests. Hon. Lanre Edun’s decision to put political rivalry aside and openly embrace his fellow contenders underscored his longstanding reputation as a peace-loving leader whose approach to politics transcends bitterness and unhealthy competition. His actions conveyed a profound message; that political contests should not destroy relationships, divide communities or weaken the shared vision for development and good governance. Beyond politics, Hon. Lanre Edun has consistently been associated with humanitarian ideals and community-centered leadership. Over the years, his name has become increasingly linked with efforts aimed at empowering people, promoting peaceful coexistence and advocating for developmental initiatives capable of improving the lives of ordinary citizens. Indeed, in a political climate where gestures of unity are increasingly rare, Hon. Lanre Edun’s conduct in Abuja has emerged as a shining example of dignified leadership, proving that even in the midst of political contest, peace, humility and humanity can still prevail.

DELTA SOUTH YOUTHS BACK ORETTE, WARN AGAINST PROLONGING AGONY OF THE PEOPLE Youths in Delta South on Friday demanded for better representation in 2027. ‘’The future of Delta South rest on a rigorously vocal, vibrant and honest lawmaker’’ They also described the ambition of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) candidate in Delta South, Dr. Austin Orette, as the best possible path in 2027. ‘’Dr. Austin Orette’s ambition is plainly not for himself. It is to serve the wonderful people of Delta South’’ At a meeting of the representatives of youth groups in Delta South, the youths applauded Orette for showing solid legislative and administrative gifts. ‘’Dr. Austin Orette is a resourceful and persistent organizer. He is hospitable to new ideas’’ The youths laid before newsmen and the public an extensive agenda, including a fast start on federal projects in the district, low interest loans to encourage local projects, stable budget, unemployment benefits, monetary standards and new constitution. Orette’s agenda, the youths said, is fighting off insecurity, despair, dangerous feelings of helplessness and dependence. The Leader of Delta South Youth Movement (DSYM), Amos Ebiakpo read the statement aloud to journalists in Warri with admiration of Orette’s blueprint. ‘’Dr. Austin Orette will lobby persuasively in the corridors, create jobs, improve roads and schools, develop parks and clear waterways. He will also ensure the building of hospitals, gas, sewage disposal and electric power plants, dams and canals, reclamation, irrigation,, levees and flood control projects, bridges and viaducts, docks and tunnels’’ The youths scolded those shouting continuity as if they were perverse and backward school boys. ‘’They should perish the dream of a second term’’ They said they would have nothing to do with the ruling party and groups supporting the old order. ‘’Backing the incumbent or any member of the ruling party in the district could only prolong the agony of the district.

Experience, Impact and the Road to 2027: Why Hon. Lanre Edun Remains a Compelling Choice for Abeokuta South Experience is widely acknowledged as the most effective teacher, shaping not only perspective but also the capacity to deliver meaningful results. In the political landscape of Abeokuta South Federal Constituency, this notion finds a compelling expression in the stewardship of Hon. Lanre Edun, whose tenure in the Green Chamber as the Representative of Abeokuta federal constituency, between 2019 and 2023 left a lasting imprint on the constituency. During this period, his representation was characterized by a blend of responsiveness, developmental focus and a clear commitment to the welfare of his constituents. Across communities in Abeokuta South, his time in office was associated with tangible improvements, ranging from constituency-driven projects to initiatives aimed at empowering youths, supporting small businesses and addressing infrastructural needs. These efforts collectively contributed to what many observers have described as a phase of notable transformation. Beyond the projects themselves, what stood out was his approach to representation. By maintaining close engagement with the grassroots and prioritizing inclusiveness in governance, he fostered a sense of participation and trust among the people he served. This connection not only enhanced the effectiveness of his interventions but also reinforced his reputation as a representative attuned to the realities on the ground. As the political horizon gradually tilts toward the 2027 general elections, conversations within the constituency are increasingly shaped by reflections on past performance and future expectations. In this context, Edun’s experience in legislative processes, coupled with his track record of constituency development, positions him as a figure of considerable interest. For many, he embodies a blend of proven capacity and forward-looking vision. Supporters argue that the value of experience, particularly one grounded in demonstrable achievements, cannot be overstated. They believe that a return to office would not merely be a continuation, but an opportunity to consolidate past gains, expand developmental initiatives, and accelerate the pace of progress within Abeokuta South Federal Constituency.

Akpoti-Uduaghan to Kogi Judge: Well-done Heads to Appeal Court Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan on Friday instructed her legal team to file an appeal to overturn the High Court decision awarding N1billion to former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello. "We are appealing the judgement. I don't have N1billion. We will drag the matter to the Supreme Court" The Kogi Central Representative accused the court of ignoring the evidence presented by her legal team. The Kogi State Government in 2022 called for the arrest of Senator Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan. The government in different national newspapers accused Akpoti-Uduaghan of sponsoring terrorism and orchestrating the July 2022 Kuje Prison break and the Owo Church massacre. Reacting to the allegations of terrorism, Akpoti-Uduaghan said she was out of the country when the Kuje Prison incident and the Owo Church massacre took place. "I was never connected to Safiyu at that time " She recounted how Yahaya Bello prompted the security agents to arrest her. "Yahaya Bello accused me of sponsoring terrorism because he wants me out of the ballot. He took the reports to the DSS. He was a constant visitor to DSS, telling them to arrest me. The person Yahaya Bello hangs out with is the sponsor of terrorism, not me. Safiyu was a close ally of Yahaya Bello. He was told to carry out a bad task against me. He said he wasn't going to do it. The young man refused to mobilize people to hurt me" Akpoti-Uduaghan recalled the Arise Television interview. "I shared these pictures with Arise Television presenters. I didn't know Safiyu. Safiyu was a close associate of Yahaya Bello. If anybody should be questioned about terrorism, it should be Yahaya Bello. If anybody is guilty of terrorism, it should be Yahaya Bello. He is the one who knows how I am involved " She urged the former Kogi State Governor to file more defamation charges against her. Akpoti-Uduaghan who is still consulting on her political future emphasized violence, fear and a high rate of missing people in Kogi State.

On this special day, we celebrate your dedication, steadfast leadership, and unwavering commitment to the growth and unity to All Progressives Congress and your grassroots engagement towards the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and support for Prince Dapo Abiodun for Senate, Ogun East. Your role at the grassroots continues to inspire progress and strengthen our collective vision. May this new year bring you abundant blessings, good health, greater achievements, and continued success in all your endeavors. Happy Birthday, Rev. Olushola! ___ The convener of The Alternative, Segun Sowunmi, has declared his intention to contest the 2027 governorship election in Ogun State, but declined to disclose the political platform he will run on. Sowunmi made the declaration on Friday during a visit to the secretariat of the Inter-Party Advisory Council in Abeokuta, where he also sought the support of political stakeholders ahead of the poll. The former spokesman to ex-Vice President Atiku Abubakar said his ambition was driven by the need to provide “purposeful and quality leadership” for the state, stressing that the 2027 election should not be reduced to a mere endorsement of a preferred candidate. His declaration comes amid moves within the All Progressives Congress to adopt a consensus candidate from Ogun West Senatorial District. Sowunmi, however, insisted he would join the race regardless of any such arrangement, calling instead for a competitive electoral process. “As we approach 2027, the question is whether Ogun will submit to a coronation or allow a truly competitive process for the sake of future generations,” he said. The politician also challenged all aspirants, including those endorsed by political parties, to an open debate to test their competence and preparedness for governance. While acknowledging the long-standing agitation of Ogun West to produce a governor, Sowunmi described the demand as legitimate but warned against imposing a candidate through consensus. “Aspiration loses its meaning where there is no contest,” he added. He further advocated the formation of a grassroots-driven coalition among opposition parties to challenge the dominance of the ruling APC, dismissing ongoing elite-level coalition talks as ineffective. According to him, sustainable political alliances must be built from the grassroots, noting that internal crises and legal disputes had weakened major political parties across the country. Sowunmi also decried money politics, urging a shift towards issue-based campaigns focused on development, rather than vote-buying or material inducements. “The governorship of Ogun is not about sharing rice or money. It must be about deliberate and strategic development,” he said. He maintained that his ambition was not driven by personal gain but by a commitment to service, adding that he had no history of political violence. Speaking at the event, the South-West Vice Chairman of the Labour Party, Abayomi Arabambi, called for increased citizen participation in governance, stressing that power ultimately resides with the people. Arabambi, who backed Sowunmi’s aspiration, urged Nigerians to resist political and economic systems that undermine their freedom, while advocating unity and collective action. Also speaking, the Ogun State Chairman of IPAC, Abayomi Sanyaolu, described the council as a credible platform for political engagement, noting that Sowunmi had been duly recognised as an aspirant. He commended the politician’s consistency and urged stakeholders to prioritise inclusiveness and grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 elections. ——— ⚖️ LEGISLATIVE IMPACT — Speaking for Ijebu in Abuja Bills Sponsored by Omo-Iwa: 1️⃣ Certified Pension Institute of Nigeria (Establishment) Bill, 2023 2️⃣ National Entrepreneurship and Artisan Training Institute Bill, 2023 3️⃣ National Institute for Creative & Performing Arts, Ososa-Ijebu Bill, 2023 4️⃣ CREATION OF IJEBU STATE BILL, 2024 Motion Moved: ➖ Construction & rehabilitation of Ibefun–Itokin Road -----Motion to Summon JAMB over the controversial underage policy. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, From the bottom of my heart, I thank you not just on behalf of Nigeria, but for the entire African continent. To witness what you have built at the Dangote Refinery is to confront, in the most tangible way, the scale of what is possible. The vision, the precision, the discipline behind every detail the engineering, the functionality, the sheer ambition stand as undeniable proof that there is absolutely nothing stopping Nigeria except our own limits of imagination and execution. As I walked through that complex, many thoughts crossed my mind. Chief among them was this: we are not inferior to anyone on this planet. That facility could have been anything a massive water transfer scheme, a power grid, a space program, a military-industrial complex, or a world-class medical research hub. The discipline and clarity of purpose that created this refinery demonstrate that a serious, focused government can achieve even more if it applies private-sector rigor to national problem-solving. When I saw the power infrastructure, I asked if it could power Lagos. I was told it could power all five South-West states. When I saw the water treatment and desalination systems, I asked if it could supply Lagos with water. The answer was clear: with the right investment, it is entirely possible after all, that is what Dubai did. In that moment, I knew such a vision could be replicated in Ogun State, should I be given the opportunity to serve. I was equally struck by the depth of environmental consideration. The extent to which the ecosystem has been protected in the design is not just impressive it is exemplary. I left that tour prouder to be Nigerian, and more convinced than ever that with focused, disciplined leadership, the future we imagine is not only possible it is within reach. I almost did not attend the tour with the Oxford Saïd Business School students, thinking I already understood the scale of what had been achieved. I was wrong. Being there has strengthened my belief in our capacity, simply because you proved it can be done. Alhaji Aliko Dangote, may Almighty Allah reward you. May the Dangote Refinery continue to flourish. And may it inspire those in positions of authority today and tomorrow that indeed, yes, we can. Otunba Segun Showunmi The Alternative. ——- Happy Birthday To Alhaji Taoreed Adeyemi Adelani (Igwe) Congratulations to the Ogun State APC Organising Secretary, Alhaji Taoreed Adeyemi Adelani (Igwe), on this auspicious occasion of his birthday. On this special day, we celebrate a dedicated party leader, a strategic organiser, and a committed progressive whose loyalty and hard work have continued to strengthen the APC in Ogun State. Wishing you long life, good health, greater strength, and continued success in all your endeavours. Courtesy: Rev. Olusola Salau Convener, Ogun TUNTUN 4 PDA/PBAT 2027 —— MY QUALITY REPRESENTATION AND TRANSFORMATION AGENDA NON-NEGOTIABLE...HON.(OTUNBA) TOLA OLUTAYO The leading aspirant for House of Representatives, Remo Federal Constituency OtunbaTola Olutayo (HTO - BELGIUM), write to reaffirm his unwavering commitment to delivering quality representation and a people-centered transformation agenda that is firmly non-negotiable. The people of Remo Land deserve purposeful leadership that prioritizes their welfare above all other issues. My aspiration is driven by a clear vision to reposition Remo Federal Constituency as a hub of development, opportunity, and inclusive growth. My quality representation means being accessible, responsive, and accountable. It means ensuring that the voices of our people are heard loudly and clearly at the Green Chamber National Assembly. It also means attracting meaningful projects, influencing policies that benefit our constituency, and maintaining constant engagement with the grassroots. Let it be clearly stated: I will not compromise on the mandate to serve the people diligently. My agenda is built on integrity, transparency, and measurable outcomes. Every effort will be made to ensure that governance translates into tangible improvements in the daily lives of our people. The time has come to move beyond rhetoric and embrace real, impactful leadership. Together, we can build a Remo Federal Constituency that reflects our collective aspirations and potential. I humbly seek your support and partnership in this journey toward sustainable transformation. The future of Remo Land is too important to negotiate away. ——— PROGRESS MUST BE PROTECTED, NOT INTERRUPTED As the APC primaries approach, the conversation across Remo Federal Constituency is becoming clearer. This is not just about choice. It is about responsibility. *Hon. Dr. Princess Adesola Ayoola-Elegbeji* has shown, within a short period, that effective representation is possible when leadership is focused and responsive. Her sponsorship of bills for the establishment of the School of Nursing and Allied Professionals, Ode-Lemo and Emuren, as well as the Federal College of Agricultural Sciences, Orile Oko, Remo North, reflect a clear commitment to education, skills development, and long-term growth for the constituency. Beyond the National Assembly, her consistent engagement with communities shows a leader who understands that representation goes beyond Abuja. It is about presence, listening, and delivery. At a time when progress is already in motion, the priority must be to protect it, strengthen it, and build on it. Interrupting a working system comes at a cost. Remo Federal Constituency cannot afford to lose momentum. _____ Today, I celebrate an exceptional leader, loyal party man, and a dear friend, Prince Adeyinka Adeleye, the Assistant Welfare Secretary of APC Ogun State, on the joyous occasion of his birthday. The Gateway visit that lifted the President's Spirit. As Princess Ibilola Solaja the matron of Ogun TUNTUN 4 PDA PBAT 2027 and Southwest Matron of Team Tinubu celebrate The Executive Governor of Ogun State over the Commissioning the Gateway international Cargo airport that put Ogun State into the history on blue Economy ———- The Gateway visit that lifted the President's Spirit. By Kayode Akinmade President Bola Tinubu's visit to Ogun State last weekend could not have come at a better time. It showed the phenomenal things going on in the state. The atmosphere within and outside Abeokuta, the state capital, was electric. The president rode around the state commissioning landmark projects, and his excitement and relief were palpable. The president had just visited Jos, Plateau State, where he had confronted gory images of terror and the agony of victims. The President knew the pain of parents in such circumstances. He was visibly shaken, and promised to do everything humanly possible to rewrite the security narrative. And then came the rescheduled Ogun visit that lifted his spirits and showed the possibilities of visionary leadership... The mood before the President's visit was ecstatic. Across the state, billboards announced the visit, but much more so did a populace grateful to have a government working according to their dictates, opening up the state up for business and lifting the state into a phenomenal height. Young men and women loaded the social media with images of ultramodern hospitals yet to be commissioned, of long-abandoned roads completed or undergoing renovation, and of the state-of-the-art airport that the Number One citizen was coming to commission. Some spoke of sheer excitement about the visit while others spoke of their plans to sell various products. In light of his ISEYA mantra, the Ogun State Governor had been extremely busy rolling out projects across the length and breadth of the state. Between January and February, Abiodun commissioned a strategic stretch of roads: Abeokuta–Obalende Road, Osinubi New Town Road (Ijebu-Ode), Sagamu–Ayepe Road (Sagamu LGA), Afon Palace Road (Imeko/Afon LGA), Lantoro–Oke-Yidi–Isale Ake Junction Road (Abeokuta South), Imashayi–Igan-Okoto–Ayetoro Road (Phase II, Yewa North), among others, showcasing a strategy tied to economic corridors and connectivity. As he was keen to emphasize, roads are selected through community-driven prioritisation. As the President landed in the state, a stretch of life-changing projects awaited him. In the aviation and transport sector, Tinubu commissioned the Gateway International Agro-Cargo Airport, Iperu, together with the state’s new airline, Gateway Airline, and its two newly acquired aircraft. The president also inaugurated logistics and trade infrastructure. He launched the Nigeria Customs Service’s (NCS) ₦73bn hub that has a residential barracks, training college, warehouse and hospital. The president also launched mobility, security and agriculture assets, including 1,000 electric motorcycles (EV bikes), and 80 units of security vehicles. Before the president arrived at the Gateway Airport, the space was filled to the brim with the high and mighty, and with surging crowds of Ogun indigenes. The Senate President, Godswill Akpabio, was present, as were the Governors of Zamfara, Bayelsa, Taraba, Ekiti, Ondo, Niger and Lagos states, as well as the deputy governors of Oyo and Lagos states. Former President Olusegun was there, and Dimeji Bankola, ex-House of Reps speaker, was present too. Also in attendance were former governors of the Gateway State, including Senator Gbenga Daniel, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, and Chief Olusegun Osoba. The roll call also included the Chairman of ANN Plc, Dr Olatokunbo Awolowo Dosumu; Ambassador Femi Pedro, Minister of Culture and Creative Economy, Hannatu Musawa; CBN Governor, Olayemi Cardoso; Aviation Minister, Festus Keyamo, Chairman of the Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, the chairman of the BUA Group, Abdulsamad Rabiu, and chairman of the Zenon Group, Femi Otedola. Also in attendance were the Inspector General of Police, Mr Tunji Disu; the CG Customs, Bashir Adeniyi, and Zenith Bank CEO, Adaora Umeoji, among others. It was quite evident, when Tinubu took the microphone, that he was pleased with the developmental sights in the Gateway State. Hear him: “I sincerely appreciate the opportunity that we have today to celebrate the remarkable vision of a governor and his predecessors. Today, we commissioned the economic nerve centre of our corridor. In less than seven years, you, Dapo Abiodun, have demonstrated commitment, vision and patriotism to grow Nigeria. We celebrate you for national development. I have no regret for whatever we have done with you. As your president, I am pleased to see that the increase from revenue from federal allocation is being effectively and judiciously used to build our country. I congratulate the people of this great State for supporting the government that is delivering measurable progress, and I thank you for your continued faith in our country.” As the president noted, the airport is connected to independent power supply, while cargo/logistics operations infrastructure is linked to trade and export systems. Tinubu enthused: “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.” He said Abiodun’s projects show “What is possible when vision is matched with discipline.” He said his “Renewed Hope” Reforms are not abstract, but already increasing resources to states , enabling states to fund projects. He also expressed optimism that Nigeria will defeat banditry and terrorism. Returning to Abiodun’s projects, Tinubu said the electric bikes are “a shift from fossil fuels and a “smart response to modern transportation needs.” Beaming with smiles, Governor Dapo Abiodun praised President’s reforms: foreign exchange unification, fuel subsidy removal, public finance repositioning, improved tax administration, digitisation, and agency strengthening. He lauded the landmark federal initiatives, including the Presidential Compressed Natural Gas programme, NELFUND, the ongoing rail modernization, the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Highway, the Badagry Sokoto highway, and oil and gas sector reforms. As he noted on the occasion, Ogun State’s Building Our Future Together agenda had meant, among other things, closing the infrastructure gap to leverage proximity to Lagos. He indicated that Ogun IGR had risen from ₦40bn to ₦250bn, and its GDP from ₦4tn to ₦17tn in seven years. He said that the Gateway International Airport built from ground zero has a 4km runway, control tower, aviation safety systems and cargo facilities, and is designed as an aerotropolis (airport city). He unfolded the state-owned airline, Gateway Air, with two Bombardier CRJ 900 aircraft, with inaugural cargo flight and over 5flights scheduled. He spoke of the Gateway International Convention, Conference and Exhibition Centre’s groundbreaking and the Nigeria Customs Service Village in the aerotropolis. Abiodun also spoke of road infrastructure, saying that his administration had constructed 1,600km of roads, including the Epe Ijebu Ode expressway, Sagamu Interchange-Papalanto Expressway, Sango Abeokuta expressway, Sagamu Iperu Ode Remo Sapade expressway (Bola Ahmed Tinubu expressway), Ilishan Iperu road, and the Airport road linking to Sagamu Benin expressway. In the area of housing, Abiodun mentioned the Muhammadu Buhari Estate with 100 units of semi and fully detached houses; and the over 7,000 affordable homes built across the state. He mentioned the 140 primary health care centers built by his administration; the 200-bed Gateway Medical Centre of Excellence; the 34.1 megawatt Onijanganjangan Independent Power Project, and the provision of modern tractors. He mentioned the 100 pickup vehicles for law enforcement, and lauded the President for specific approvals: - Sagamu-Ijebu Ode portion of Sagamu-Benin Expressway, the takeover of Tai Solarin University, the approval for commercial oil exploration in Ogun waterside, and the planned reactivation of OKLNG project. If anyone wanted to know how the President felt about his visit to Ogun, the President himself made that task easy. Here is his take on the visit: “I returned to Ogun State today with a full heart. What I saw in Iperu is the kind of progress we must insist on as a nation. Quite deliberate, and built to last. The Gateway Cargo Airport stands as proof of what is possible when vision is matched with discipline. As I said, “Our investment is about our people. Today’s foundation is for tomorrow’s prosperity.” I acknowledge Governor Dapo Abiodun for his focus and consistency. Development is not about noise. It is about decisions that improve lives. From the aircraft launched today to the electric bikes, tractors, and security assets, this is what progress should look like. Practical, real, and visible. “Development must touch every level,” and I am pleased to see that principle taking shape in Ogun State. We are building for people, and we are building for prosperity.” As they say in Ogun, “Ìṣẹ́ yá. I say, “Ìṣẹ̀ ń lọ.” The work continues.” That, evidently, is an unassailable verdict. Akinmade is Special Adviser, Information and Strategy to Ogun State Governor, Prince Dapo Abiodun —- Southwest Matron Of Team Tinubu 2027, Princess Ibilola Solaja, Rallies Support for Tinubu’s 2027 Re-Election Bid Princess Mrs. Ibilola Solaja, the Southwest Matron of Team Tinubu 2027, has declared her unwavering commitment to mobilizing massive grassroots support for the re-emergence of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the 2027 general elections. We have confidence in your support. _____ We must carry this story What an insult! David Mark must be very mighty in 1993 to have sworn, according to Professor Omoruyi, that he would personally shoot Abiola dead if Babangida handed over power to him. I have been searching through several books to find out how powerful Mark was in Uniform. Let us even throw his might to a corner in Benue. Let us address the real issue. Has Mark forgotten that Tinubu was a political son of Abiola that he wanted to shoot dead in 1993? Ordinarily, his face should be irritating to the President for posing as the face of the opposition. Mark is lucky he is dealing with a democrat and a compassionate leader. A different person would choose this day as a day of revenge. We all know in Yorùbá land that you don't ask how your father died until you hold the handle of power. Asiwaju is holding that handle today. The blade is sharp and he will not wield it twice before he cuts the head of any traitor. What was the offence of Abiola who campaigned throughout Nigeria and won the election clean and clear? Was Mark's hatred built towards the Yorubas or just Abiola in person?. What was his reason for wanting to shoot a winner dead? I need an answer. Nigerian people forget history very quickly. Someone who stabbed their mothers to death would receive a heroic welcome from them few years later. That is why a Mark could still be defended. Nigerians, stop offending the sensibilities of our heroes. Abiola died due to the hatred of people like David Mark. — EXPERIENCED LEADERSHIP FOR A BRIGHTER FUTURE It takes a seasoned and skilled hand to wield the mantle of leadership – it's not merely about rhetoric or fanfare. Barrister Femi Ogunbanwo is a proven leader who has consistently demonstrated his ability to make a meaningful impact. HON MOSHOOD ADETAYO ABUBARKAR LED HIS TEAM TO WITNESS GATEWAY INTERNATIONAL CARGO AIRPORT COMMISSIONING, CONGRATULATES THE GOVERNOR, PRINCE DAPO ABIODUN, ON A CRUSHING REBUTTAL TO NAYSAYERS AS AIR PEACE HEADS TO LONDON Hon. Moshood Adetayo Abubakar, alongside his team, joined dignitaries and stakeholders to witness the historic commissioning of the Gateway International Cargo Airport which is an achievement that stands as a bold testament to visionary leadership and strategic development. The event not only marked a significant milestone in infrastructural advancement but also underscored the unwavering commitment of the Ogun State Government to economic growth and global connectivity. In his remarks, Hon. Abubakar extended heartfelt congratulations to Governor Prince Dapo Abiodun for delivering on a project once doubted by critics. The successful completion and commissioning of the airport serve as a crushing rebuttal to naysayers who questioned the feasibility and impact of such an ambitious undertaking. The significance of this development is further amplified by the announcement of Air Peace commencing international operations to London, a move that reinforces Nigeria’s expanding footprint in global aviation. This progression highlights the strategic importance of the Gateway International Cargo Airport as a hub for commerce, logistics, and international travel. Hon. Abubakar commended the Governor’s resilience, foresight, and dedication to transforming Ogun State into a key economic powerhouse. He noted that this achievement will not only boost trade and investment but also create employment opportunities and stimulate regional development. As the state celebrates this landmark accomplishment, it is evident that the Gateway International Cargo Airport stands as a symbol of progress, innovation, and the triumph of purposeful leadership over doubt. --- Ogun Airport Is Built. Now the Real Work Begins. OTUNBA SEGUN SOWUNMI THE ALTERNATIVE For too long, infrastructure in Nigeria has been treated as an end in itself a ribbon cut, a speech delivered, a photograph taken, and then a slow drift into underutilization. That must not be the fate of Ogun State’s newly built and commissioned airport. The era of symbolic projects is over. This is the moment for execution. Airports do not thrive on asphalt and terminals alone; they thrive on traffic, on purpose, and on a coherent economic ecosystem that feeds them. If Ogun Airport is to succeed quickly and it must it requires an aggressive, disciplined, and intelligently sequenced destination marketing and economic activation strategy. The foundation is already clear: Ogun is not an empty proposition. It is a state rich in culture, industry, agriculture, history, and proximity advantage. What has been missing is orchestration the deliberate packaging and projection of these assets into a compelling, year-round destination economy. The first order of business is visibility. A bold “Destination Ogun” launch, anchored at the airport itself, should immediately signal intent. Branding must not be timid: the imagery of Olumo Rock, the global story of Adire, the understated beauty of Ogun’s coastline, and the depth of its culinary heritage should dominate both physical and digital spaces. The message must be unmistakable: Ogun is open, accessible, and ready. But awareness without experience is hollow. Within the first quarter, Ogun must lean into sectors where it can win quickly food and wellness. The TasteOgun campaign, backed by farm-to-table festivals in Abeokuta and Sagamu, can position the state as Nigeria’s emerging hub for authentic, healthy, and locally rooted cuisine. Organic markets, eco-retreats, and wellness tourism are not luxuries; they are global growth segments. Ogun can and should own that space domestically. Culture, however, remains Ogun’s most potent currency. By mid-year, the state must elevate its heritage into immersive experiences. The Olumo Rock experience should not be a static visit but an event enhanced with technology, competitions, and storytelling. An Adire Carnival can transform a traditional craft into a global fashion and cultural spectacle. Strategic media partnerships locally and internationally must ensure that Ogun’s story is told not as an afterthought, but as a headline. Equally critical is Ogun’s geographic advantage. The airport’s success will depend heavily on how well it positions itself against the dysfunction of Lagos congestion. The Fly Ogun campaign should not merely advertise convenience; it should prove it. Seamless travel packages, partnerships with airlines like Value Jet, and integrated hospitality offerings must create a frictionless alternative for travelers. Ogun should become the preferred entry point not the secondary option. By the second half of the year, momentum must translate into scale. Festivals such as Ojude Oba already have global appeal; what they require is amplification. A deliberate diaspora homecoming strategy, tied to these cultural moments, can convert nostalgia into economic activity. New initiatives, such as a curated Ogun Beach Festival, can expand the state’s tourism calendar and diversify its attractions. Yet tourism alone is insufficient. By the eleventh month, Ogun must pivot to investment. A Tourism and Hospitality Summit should bring together investors, hotel chains, airlines, and diaspora business networks to translate foot traffic into fixed capital. Airports thrive when they anchor ecosystems resorts, logistics hubs, agro-processing zones, and conference destinations. This is where long-term value is secured. Finally, the year must close with consolidation and anticipation. A strong holiday campaign, backed by measurable discounts and bundled experiences, can maximize year-end traffic. But more importantly, Ogun must publish its results visitor numbers, investment inflows, sectoral growth demonstrating that this is not another dormant asset, but a functioning economic engine. The narrative going into the following year must be one of momentum, not promise. Execution of this scale demands discipline. Monthly thematic campaigns, continuous media engagement, and structured influencer partnerships are not optional they are the machinery of modern destination marketing. Ogun must operate with the precision of a private-sector brand, not the lethargy of a public bureaucracy. The truth is simple: if properly activated, Ogun Airport can become one of the fastest-growing regional gateways in Nigeria. But if neglected, it will join the long list of underperforming public investments that promised much and delivered little. This is not a moment for half measures. The airport is built. It is commissioned. Now it is time to get to work. And let me be clear: I am best suited to run Ogun. I have been thinking about it longest and most clearly. —- OGO TUNTUN 4 PDA PBAT 2027, under the leadership of Rev. In a time that demands clarity of purpose, unity of direction, and collective resolve, Ogo Tuntun has issued a strong call for the formation of a broad-based coalition that brings together all socio-political groups under one common vision. The strength of any meaningful political movement lies in its ability to unify diverse voices, bridge differences, and channel collective energy toward a defined goal. The PDA and PBAT project represents more than just a political agenda; it embodies a vision for progress, development and inclusive participation. The message is clear: the success of the PDA and PBAT project depends on our ability to come together, plan together and act together. It is a project that must be delivered not by individuals, but by all of us, united in purpose and action. ———— Ogun AssemblyMan, Kashamu Backs Tinubu’s Reforms, Urges Nigerians to Stay the Course Ijebu Igbo – Hon. Rasheed Kashamu, lawmaker representing Ijebu North State Constituency I, has declared his support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s reform agenda, describing the policies as a bold and necessary pathway to national transformation. Speaking in an interview, Kashamu called on Nigerians to endure the temporary challenges of the administration’s economic adjustments, asserting that the measures are designed to reposition the country for sustainable growth and global competitiveness. “These reforms are not easy, but they are necessary,” Kashamu said. “What we are witnessing is a foundation being laid for a stronger and more resilient Nigeria.” The Ogun State lawmaker praised the President for demonstrating what he termed uncommon courage in implementing policies that previous administrations had avoided. He argued that decisive leadership was crucial for a nation with Nigeria’s vast potential. Kashamu emphasized that the success of the government’s policies would depend largely on the support and patience of citizens, urging them to look beyond immediate discomfort and focus on long-term benefits. “If we stay the course and give the President the needed support, Nigeria will not just improve — it will become one of the best among nations,” he added. The legislator also highlighted the importance of collective responsibility, calling on political leaders, stakeholders, and citizens to rally behind the federal government’s efforts. He noted that nation-building required sacrifice, unity, and a shared vision, adding that the current administration had set the tone for a new era of accountability and progress. ———- Grief, Power, and the Burden of Politics There are moments in public life when the noise of politics fades, and one is confronted with something far more fundamental our shared humanity. Such was my experience when I visited Nasir El-Rufai to offer condolences on the passing of his mother. He looked noticeably leaner, a combination perhaps of the physical demands of fasting and the emotional toll of recent pressures. In that quiet moment, stripped of the usual theatre of power and contestation, what stood before me was not the public figure many have come to debate, but a son in mourning. It was a sobering reminder that beneath the armour of politics, we remain human vulnerable, burdened, and in need of grace. Politics, by its very nature, is a hard trade. It demands resilience, clarity of purpose, and often an iron will. Yet, it also raises an uncomfortable question: how do we reconcile ambition with empathy? How do individuals who share history, geography, and even aspirations for a common good find it within themselves to inflict deep wounds on one another? These are not abstract questions; they define the character of our political culture. It is in this context that one must acknowledge the intervention of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Leadership is not only tested in moments of triumph, but in the ability to temper conflict with humanity. At critical junctures, the capacity to de-escalate tensions and remind all actors of their shared purpose becomes a mark of true statesmanship. My acquaintance with El-Rufai is not recent. It dates back to his tenure as Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, a period during which I observed closely his approach to governance. He is, without question, a man of intense discipline capable of long hours, meticulous in planning, and unyielding in the pursuit of agreed objectives. Perhaps more importantly, he possesses the rare ability to assemble teams that can translate ideas into tangible outcomes. Through my egbon, Jimi Lawal, and insights drawn from accounts of the formation of the APC, one gains a deeper appreciation of the intellectual and organizational labour that underpinned that political coalition. These were not accidental achievements; they were the product of deliberate effort, strategic thinking, and conviction. In the lead-up to the 2023 cabinet formation, it also became evident that significant groundwork had been laid in anticipation of tackling one of Nigeria’s most stubborn challenges, the power sector. The frameworks, institutional proposals, and strategic direction that were being considered reflected a seriousness of intent that is too often missing in our policy environment. That such efforts became entangled in the familiar web of rivalry and suspicion is, unfortunately, not surprising. It is, however, deeply regrettable. Nigeria’s political arena has long struggled with a paradox: we demand competence and results, yet we are often quick to undermine those who demonstrate both, particularly when their prospects real or imagined begin to unsettle established balances. This tendency does not merely affect individuals; it constrains national progress. As the country continues to navigate its post-2023 reality, another subtle but significant transition is underway. With figures like Muhammadu Buhari no longer occupying the central space they once did, especially in the political imagination of the rural North, a vacuum both symbolic and strategic is emerging. History suggests that such vacuums do not remain unfilled for long. The search for new anchors of leadership, new voices of influence, and new custodians of political capital has already begun, whether acknowledged openly or not. It is in moments like this when personal grief intersects with public uncertainty that the trajectories of individuals can shift in unexpected ways. Adversity, as history often teaches, can become the crucible of elevation. For now, however, it is not politics that should dominate our reflections, but compassion. My prayer is simple: that Almighty Allah grants strength to Nasir El-Rufai in this period of loss, steadies his heart, and forgives the shortcomings of his beloved mother, granting her eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus. In the end, beyond strategy and rivalry, beyond victory and defeat, it is our capacity for humanity that will define us and, perhaps, redeem our politics. Otunba Segun Showunmi The Alternative. OGO TUNTUN CALLS FOR A UNITED COALITION TO DELIVER PDA & PBAT PROJECT AND PROMISED TO WORK SIDE BY SIDE WITH PARTY AUTHORITY TO DELIVER OGUN EAST SENATORIAL AND PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS COME 2027 In a time that demands clarity of purpose, unity of direction, and collective resolve, Ogo Tuntun has issued a strong call for the formation of a broad-based coalition that brings together all socio-political groups under one common vision. This call is not just an appeal—it is a strategic necessity aimed at achieving the successful delivery of the PDA and PBAT project as a shared mission. The strength of any meaningful political movement lies in its ability to unify diverse voices, bridge differences, and channel collective energy toward a defined goal. Ogo Tuntun recognizes that no single group, no matter how organized or influential, can achieve sustainable progress in isolation. It is only through collaboration, mutual respect, and a shared commitment that true transformation can be realized. The PDA and PBAT project represents more than just a political agenda; it embodies a vision for progress, development and inclusive participation. It is a project that requires the active involvement of all stakeholders—youth groups, community leaders, professionals, grassroots organizations, and political actors—working together with a sense of ownership and responsibility. Olusola Salau, Leader of the pro-President Bola Ahmed Tinubu grassroots movement, Ogo Tuntun 4 PDA PBAT 2027, and Alhaja Rianat Adekeji Oshisanwo to deliver resounding victories for the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2027 Presidential, Senatorial, and Governorship elections. The alliance, aimed at mobilising massive support across Ogun State, is expected to strengthen the Renewed Hope agenda and ensure APC dominance at all levels in 2027. Both leaders expressed confidence that the partnership will deliver a united and formidable front for President Tinubu’s re-election, the APC senatorial candidates, and the party’s preferred governorship candidate in Ogun State. —— Abiodun: APC Convention a Model of Organisation and Security The Governor of Ogun State and Chairman of the Venue Subcommittee for the All Progressives Congress (APC) 2026 National Convention, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has described the party’s convention as a model of organisation and security, attributing its success to thorough planning and strategic innovations. Speaking on the sidelines of the convention held at Eagle Square, Abiodun said the committee undertook a critical review of previous conventions to identify and address recurring challenges, particularly in crowd management and venue security. According to him, members of the subcommittee conducted an on-the-spot assessment of the arena shortly after their inauguration, which led to a comprehensive redesign of the venue layout. He explained that simulations were carried out to test the movement of about 12,000 participants, ensuring smooth entry and exit during the event. “We identified weak areas from past experiences and redesigned the arena to eliminate them. The goal was to deliver a seamless and world-class convention,” he said. To enhance coordination, Abiodun noted that specific entry points were assigned to different categories of attendees, while emergency exit routes were also created. He added that surveillance cameras were installed at strategic locations within and around the venue to monitor activities and strengthen security. The governor described the convention as highly successful, revealing that about 11,000 participants attended, including 8,400 delegates, 1,800 committee members, and 200 VIPs. He commended Bola Tinubu for entrusting him with the responsibility, noting that the successful outing reflects the administration’s Renewed Hope Agenda. In her remarks, the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Noimot Salako-Oyedele, described the event as unprecedented, highlighting the presence of delegates from all the 36 states of the federation, and praising the planning team for delivering a befitting convention. Also speaking, the Senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Shuaib Afolabi Salisu, said the convention stands out as a hallmark event, attributing its success to effective leadership and meticulous coordination by the organising committee ——— Ogun AssemblyMan, Kashamu Backs Tinubu’s Reforms, Urges Nigerians to Stay the Course Ijebu Igbo – Hon. He noted that nation-building required sacrifice, unity, and a shared vision, adding that the current administration had set the tone for a new era of accountability and progress. ———- Ogun’s Next Leap From Gateway State to Global Standard There is a quiet but undeniable truth about Ogun State, it has done well. Not by accident, but by a deliberate focus on economic development and a clarity of vision that has steadily positioned it as one of Nigeria’s most strategically important subnational economies. Its geography is not just a matter of location; it is a matter of destiny. Bordered by Lagos State, the commercial heartbeat of Nigeria, and sharing an international boundary with Benin Republic, Ogun stands naturally as a gateway one that connects domestic productivity with regional and international trade. But being a gateway is not the destination. It is merely the starting point. The real challenge before Ogun today is far more ambitious: to transform itself into a globally competitive economy comparable in structure, productivity, and governance to a medium-sized European country. This is not rhetoric it is a serious development proposition. To achieve this, Ogun must transition from opportunity to orchestration. First, industrialization must deepen. It is no longer sufficient to host factories; Ogun must build integrated industrial ecosystems. Agro-processing zones, manufacturing clusters, and export-oriented production hubs must be linked through supply chains that retain value within the state. Second, infrastructure must become systemic. Roads alone will not define the future rail connectivity to Lagos ports, inland dry ports, and efficient border logistics with Benin Republic must be prioritized. Trade should move not just faster, but smarter. Third, urbanization must be intentional. The Abeokuta–Sagamu–Ijebu-Ode corridor must evolve into a network of productive cities planned, connected, and economically specialized. Growth without structure will only dilute the state’s potential. Fourth, human capital must align with ambition. Technical education, vocational excellence, and industry-linked training must replace the outdated model of disconnected certification. Ogun’s workforce must be skilled, competitive, and globally relevant. Fifth, governance must inspire confidence. Investors and citizens alike must experience Ogun as a jurisdiction of consistency, transparency, and efficiency. Policy must be predictable. Institutions must work. The examples are clear. Economies such as Portugal and Czech Republic did not arrive at their current status through chance. They built systems that reward productivity, enable trade, and sustain growth. Ogun can do the same but only through disciplined execution. This is the moment to move from being a gateway state to becoming a reference point a place where subnational governance in Nigeria is not just functional, but exemplary. The vision is clear. The opportunity is real. What remains is the will to execute. —— Happy Birthday Mr President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Without a doubt, you are an intentional and strategically astute leader. While many things may satisfy a crowd, true leadership demands restraint especially in the consumption of praise so that clarity of purpose and the capacity for consequential action are not diminished. At this stage, it may serve you well to reflect candidly on the formation of your cabinet. A number of appointments appear driven more by patronage than performance, though there are certainly some commendable choices. The delay in appointing ambassadors has also been unsettling, compounded by a few selections that have raised legitimate concerns about representation and national cohesion. Nigeria must never be projected in a way that invites doubt about our judgment or unity; excessively divisive figures cannot credibly speak for the whole. On the economy, your direction shows promise. However, greater discipline is required in resource allocation across sectors. Budget integrity must be non-negotiable both in principle and in execution. A government that does not adhere strictly to its own fiscal framework risks eroding confidence. It is important to remember that the All Progressives Congress was built on the enduring sacrifices of Muhammadu Buhari. His persistence over the years consolidated the northern base that your strategic coordination effectively harnessed. Re-engaging that constituency is essential, particularly in addressing the current erosion of support driven by misunderstanding of necessary reforms. Power must remain balanced. The South West has, by most measures, taken more than its equitable share relative to its contribution to your electoral success. A recalibration is necessary to sustain legitimacy and national trust. You deserve the opportunity of a second term, as the general trajectory of your policies is directionally sound. However, electoral success is ultimately governed by numbers and the science of coalition-building. Your recent convention speech was noteworthy, particularly your consistent acknowledgment of the legacy and contributions of President Buhari. That continuity of respect is not lost on discerning observers. I also acknowledge your gesture of empathy toward Nasir El-Rufai. Acts of consideration, even amidst political differences, reflect strength of character and an understanding of the deeper bonds that underpin our political journey. We must continue to uphold the principle of balance when power resides in the North, it holds for eight years; when in the South, the same standard should apply. Stability in this regard is fundamental to the long-term cohesion of the union. As I have shared with you privately, your generation carries the responsibility of stabilizing the governing framework of this country. The next phase will require a more deliberate, structured, and forward-looking approach to national development. Happy Birthday once again, Mr President. May God grant you good health, wisdom, and strength in service to our nation. Otunba Segun Showunmi Odofin Keesi

Nigeria on the Brink of Industrial Renaissance as Hon. Dr. Amusan Hails Tinubu’s UK Breakthrough Nigeria’s march toward economic transformation has gained powerful momentum following the landmark visit of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to the United Kingdom, which was an engagement that is now being widely celebrated as a gateway to unprecedented industrial growth and global investment inflows. Adding a strong voice to the national discourse, Hon. Dr. Jelili Kayode Amusan, a respected statesman and Tinubu National Think Tank Patron, has praised the visit as a “defining diplomatic and economic milestone” capable of reshaping Nigeria’s industrial future. Amusan, a former federal lawmaker and accomplished entrepreneur, described the President’s UK mission as a strategic masterstroke that signals Nigeria’s readiness to reclaim its place as Africa’s industrial powerhouse. According to him, the high-level engagements and investment-driven discussions held during the visit are already setting the stage for massive foreign direct investment into critical sectors of the Nigerian economy. He noted that the renewed partnership between Nigeria and the United Kingdom is expected to unlock vast opportunities in manufacturing, infrastructure, technology, and energy, which are the sectors that are widely regarded as the backbone of sustainable development. “This is not just a diplomatic visit but it is a bold economic statement to the world that Nigeria is open, stable and ready for serious business,” Amusan emphasized. Amusan further highlighted that the visit aligns perfectly with the administration’s broader vision of economic diversification, reducing reliance on oil while building a resilient, production-driven economy. He called on Nigerians across all sectors to embrace the opportunities that will emerge, stressing that national development requires collective commitment. “This is a defining moment in our history,” he said. “With purposeful leadership and global partnerships, Nigeria is entering a new era of industrialization that will uplift businesses, empower citizens and secure our economic future.” As the impact of President Tinubu’s UK visit continues to unfold, analysts agree that Nigeria stands at the threshold of an industrial revolution which is fueled by visionary leadership, strategic diplomacy and the unwavering belief of patriots like *Hon. Dr. Jelili Kayode Amusan. A GREAT POLITICAL MOVEMENT A GREAT POLITICAL PARTNERSHIP BETWEEN OGO TUNTUN 4 PDA PBAT LEAD BY REV OLUSOLA SALAU AND ROYAL MEN AND WOMEN LED BY THE OGUN EAST SENATORIAL COORDINATOR FOR CAUCUS 7202 OGUN EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT ASSEMBLY Alhaja Rianat Adekeji Oshisanwo ——— 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝙌𝙐𝙄𝙀𝙏 𝙎𝙏𝙍𝙀𝙉𝙂𝙏𝙃 𝙊𝙁 𝙊𝙏𝙐𝙉𝘽𝘼 𝘿𝘼𝙋𝙊 𝙊𝙆𝙐𝘽𝘼𝘿𝙀𝙅𝙊 𝘼𝙉𝘿 𝙏𝙃𝙀 𝘿𝙄𝙎𝘾𝙄𝙋𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙀 𝙊𝙁 𝙇𝘼𝙎𝙏𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝙄𝙈𝙋𝘼𝘾𝙏 By Comrade Sobowale Olayinka 𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑓𝑖𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑡 𝑙𝑒𝑎𝑑𝑒𝑟𝑠 𝑑𝑜 𝑛𝑜𝑡 𝑠𝑡𝑟𝑖𝑣𝑒 𝑡𝑜 𝑏𝑒 𝑛𝑜𝑡𝑖𝑐𝑒𝑑. Otunba Dapo Okubadejo belongs firmly to the latter. At first encounter, what strikes you is not the weight of his résumé or the breadth of his accomplishments but a certain calm; measured, deliberate, almost disarming. In an environment where urgency often masquerades as effectiveness, he brings something rarer: clarity. He does not rush to speak, yet when he does, it carries the assurance of thought already tested and refined. It is this quiet confidence that has come to define both the man and his work. His journey has never been about spectacle. It has been about building, carefully, patiently and with intent. Long before public office called, Okubadejo had carved out a formidable career in the private sector, rising through the ranks of global professional services with a reputation for precision and depth. But what distinguishes him is not simply that he excelled at the highest levels; it is that he chose to bring that excellence into public service, where the challenges are more complex and the rewards far less personal. Since assuming responsibility as Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser in Ogun State, his imprint has been unmistakable. Not in loud declarations but in the steady, unmistakable shift of systems beginning to work as they should. Revenues grew. Institutions emerged as functional engines. Processes once weighed down by opacity began to find light through structure and digitization. This is how Okubadejo operates: he fixes foundations. He understands that real progress is rarely dramatic. It is built in layers, policy by policy, reform by reform, decision by decision. And so, while others may chase quick wins, he invests in what endures. The economic blueprint he helped shape is not merely a document; it is a direction. The reforms he has driven are part of a larger architecture designed to outlive any single administration. Yet, to reduce him to policy and performance alone would be to miss the essence of who he is. There is, beneath the discipline and the intellect, a deeply human core. It reveals itself not in grand gestures but in consistent attention to the lives behind the numbers. Ensuring systems work efficiently is, for him, not about optics; it is about easing the everyday burdens people carry. This compassion is neither performative nor occasional. It is woven into his approach to leadership. Those who work with him often speak of his accessibility. Titles do not create distance around him. He listens, genuinely, without interruption or pretense. He engages without condescension. In a space where hierarchy can easily harden into arrogance, he remains refreshingly grounded. A gentleman in the truest sense: respectful, composed and consistently mindful of others. It is this combination; competence anchored in character, that earned him traditional recognition as Otunba Tunwase of Akile Ijebu. The title is significant. It is not a mere honour. It is a reflection of how he is perceived by those who value substance over noise. It acknowledges a man whose contributions extend beyond formal roles into the deeper, often unseen work of community impact. And perhaps that is the most compelling thing about him: his influence is not confined to the visible. He is, in many ways, a builder of people as much as systems. There is a quiet intentionality in how he invests in others to through mentorship, through example, through the standards he sets. He does not announce this; he simply does it. Consistently. Deliberately. In an age that often rewards visibility over value, Otunba Dapo Okubadejo represents a different kind of leadership. One that is steady, thoughtful and effective without needing to be loud about it. His journey so far, is not one of sudden breakthroughs but of sustained excellence and in that quiet, disciplined way of his, he continues to build institutions, opportunities, trust and ultimately, a legacy that will speak long even after the moment has passed. _____ That’s a significant moment for me both personally and diplomatically. Hosting Hollies J. Winston and being honored with the Key to Brooklyn Park speaks to something deeper than ceremony. It reflects recognition, trust, and the opening of a corridor that could have real economic and cultural consequences between Minnesota and Nigeria. What stands out here is the strategic implication: diaspora corridors, when taken seriously, can evolve beyond symbolic engagement into structured cooperation trade, skills exchange, technology transfer, and even subnational diplomacy. These are often more agile than federal-level engagements and can yield faster, tangible outcomes. I am gobsmacked, grateful, modúpẹ́ gan ni o. But beyond gratitude, this is also positioning. Moments like this can be leveraged into: • Institutional partnerships (cities ↔️ states ↔️ private sector) • Investment pipelines tied to diaspora networks • Policy influence around subnational cooperation frameworks The real value now is in what follows the honor. The Key is symbolic but the door it represents is very real. ——- Leadership That Delivers :5Pionts Why Kehinde Ayodeji Bello Is The Right Choice Now At defining political moments, serious parties don’t gamble, they consolidate strength, reward proven capacity, and present their best to the people. As the All Progressives Congress approaches its primaries, this is one of those moments. The stakes are high, the expectations are higher, and the pathway to victory is clear: align behind a candidate that has demonstrated competence, loyalty, and measurable impact. That candidate is Kehinde Ayodeji Bello. This is not about sentiment. It is about strategy, structure, and sustainability. First, capacity must triumph over noise. KAB is not just an aspirant built on sudden visibility; he is a product of consistent public service. His track record within government and party structures reflects discipline, administrative indepth, and an uncommon ability to translate policy into tangible outcomes. In a political environment where many promise, he will deliver. Second, loyalty to party ideals must count for something. The APC has always thrived when it rewards those who have stayed the course, those who have invested time, energy, and credibility into strengthening the party from within. KAB represents that tradition. He understands the internal dynamics of the party, respects its leadership hierarchy, and has contributed meaningfully to its growth. Supporting him is not just backing a candidate; it is reinforcing the culture of loyalty and continuity that keeps the party stable and formidable. Third, electability is non-negotiable. Primaries are not just about who is popular within a circle, they are about who can win the general election and protect the party’s mandate. KAB brings a broad-based appeal that cuts across wards, local governments, and key stakeholder groups. He is relatable to the grassroots yet credible among elites. That balance is rare, and it is precisely what the party needs to secure victory beyond the primaries. Fourth, representation must be purposeful. The people are no longer impressed by titles, they demand results. They want infrastructure that works, policies that empower, and leadership that listens. KAB has shown a people-centered approach in his engagements and initiatives. He understands the socio-economic realities of the constituency and has consistently aligned his efforts toward improving lives. This is the kind of representation that builds trust and sustains political capital. Fifth, unity is a strategic asset. The APC cannot afford fragmentation at this stage. A candidate like KAB offers a unifying platform, someone who can bring together diverse interests, calm internal tensions, and lead with maturity. Politics is not just about ambition; it is about managing peoples' expectations, and outcomes. On that front, he has shown steady hands. To party leaders, this is a moment to continue to provide purposeful leadership with foresight. The decisions made at the primaries will shape not just electoral outcomes but the long-term strength of the party in the constituency. Supporting KAB is a decision anchored in performance, loyalty, and strategic advantage. To party members, this is a call to align with credibility, fairness and inclusion over convenience. The future of the constituency requires a representative who understands governance, respects the party, and has the capacity to enhance the fortune of the party. To the wider community, this is an opportunity to support a candidate that is both accessible and effective, a leader who would not give excuses at a critical moment that demands national attention. The APC has built its reputation on progressive ideals and results-driven governance. To sustain that legacy, it must put forward candidates who embodies those values. Kehinde Ayodeji Bello stands firmly in that category. The path forward is clear. The choice is strategic. The moment demands clarity. ———- Continuity or Stagnation? In 2027, Ogun East Convert Influence into Growth with Dapo Abiodun as the Alternative By Tayo Mabeweje Ogun East today stands not at a crossroads but at a threshold between promise and paralysis. For years, what has been presented as progress has often been little more than motion without momentum—a choreography of minor projects, legislative mentions, and political optics. Transformers rise like monuments of modest ambition, solar lights flicker as symbols of visibility, and roads are patched like temporary bandages on a deeper economic wound. But let us be clear: you cannot industrialize a senatorial district with light poles, nor can you engineer prosperity with patchwork. This is not transformation. It is maintenance dressed as achievement. And yet, the loudest argument remains continuity. Continuity—presented as access, as ranking, as experience. But Ogun East must interrogate this carefully: What exactly is being continued? If influence has not birthed industries, if access has not unlocked investment corridors, if legislative presence has not translated into economic architecture—then continuity becomes something else entirely. It becomes a revolving door of familiarity, where presence replaces performance and time substitutes for impact. It becomes, quite simply, stagnation with a polished narrative. The danger here is not just underperformance. The real danger is normalization—when the extraordinary potential of a senatorial district is gradually reduced to the acceptance of the ordinary. When expectations shrink to fit outcomes, rather than outcomes rising to meet expectations. Ogun East must resist that descent. Because what the senatorial district requires now is not representation that occupies space in Abuja, but leadership that commands outcomes from it. Leadership that understands that influence is not a title—it is a tool. And tools must build. Build industries. Build systems. Build pipelines of opportunity that outlive political tenures. This is where the contrast becomes unavoidable. The governance trajectory of Dapo Abiodun offers a different grammar of leadership—one defined not by rhetoric but by results. Under his stewardship, Ogun State has not merely moved—it has scaled. Industrial corridors have expanded, infrastructure has evolved from connective to catalytic, and investor confidence has shifted from cautious interest to active engagement. This is not accidental. It is the product of a leadership philosophy that treats governance not as administration but as economic engineering. Where others distribute projects, he designs systems. Where others announce intentions, he executes frameworks. Where others count activities, he measures outcomes. And that is precisely the shift Ogun East must now make. Because the Senate seat is not a ceremonial platform—it is a lever of national influence. And a lever unused is indistinguishable from one that does not exist. The senatorial district can no longer afford representation that converts opportunity into optics instead of outcomes. It cannot endure another cycle where visibility substitutes for viability and where performance is curated rather than proven. 2027, therefore, is not just another election year. It is a referendum on standards. A decision between: Continuity that circulates effort without elevation Or leadership that converts access into acceleration Dapo Abiodun represents not just an alternative but a departure from the politics of maintenance to the politics of momentum. A shift from symbolic gestures to structural change. From incrementalism to intentional growth. From presence to performance. Ogun East must choose not what is familiar but what is functional. Not what is visible, but what is valuable. In the end, senatorial districts are not transformed by how often they are mentioned in Abuja—but by how deeply Abuja is made to work for them. Continuity without consequence is stagnation. And Ogun East has lingered at that edge for too long. In 2027, the senatorial district must step forward—not into another cycle of managed expectations, but into an era of measurable growth, deliberate expansion, and undeniable progress. That step requires a different kind of leadership. And that leadership is already in view. Tayo Mabeweje is a Senior Special Assistant on Media to Governor Dapo Abiodun.

A reform conceived in one place, tested under real conditions, and then adopted more broadly carries a certain authority—proof not just of concept, but of impact. This is the trajectory now defining Nigeria’s adoption of the Learner’s Identification Number (LIN), a reform that has quietly moved from state innovation to national policy. At the centre of this transition is Ogun State, where the foundations of the LIN framework were first laid under the leadership of Governor Dapo Abiodun. What is today presented as a nationwide digital education initiative had its earliest expression in the Gateway State five years ago, where it was designed not as a symbolic gesture, but as a practical response to systemic weaknesses. For years, Nigeria’s education sector has grappled with a familiar set of challenges: fragmented data, weak accountability, and planning processes undermined by unreliable statistics. In many cases, the absence of a unified system for tracking students meant that records were inconsistent, enrolment figures were inflated, and policy decisions rested on uncertain ground. Beyond these distortions, the lack of a single, verifiable database also weakened the integrity of national education statistics, limiting effective planning and international comparability. It was within this context that Ogun State introduced the Learner’s Identification Number as part of a broader reform agenda aimed at revitalising education. The goal was both simple and ambitious—to assign every student a unique, verifiable identity that would follow them throughout their academic journey, from entry to graduation, creating a single source of truth across schools and districts. But the strength of the initiative lies not in the number itself, but in what it enables. By creating a centralised digital record for each learner, the system brings coherence to what was once a fragmented landscape. Attendance, assessment outcomes, transfers between schools, and progression milestones are captured and updated in real time. This architecture not only eliminates duplication and data loss, but also enables seamless student mobility—ensuring that learners transferring between schools can do so without disruption or administrative delays. The result is an education system that can, for the first time, see itself clearly—one in which data is no longer scattered across files and institutions, but integrated into a single, functional framework. For policymakers, this shift is transformative. Decisions about resource allocation, infrastructure, and staffing can now be guided by evidence rather than estimation. With reliable data, government can more accurately deploy teachers, identify underserved communities, and monitor outcomes over time. For school administrators and teachers, the system simplifies record-keeping, reduces paperwork, and enhances the monitoring of attendance, performance, and progression. For parents, it offers reassurance that their children’s academic records are secure, continuous, and transparent, strengthening trust in both public and private school systems. Perhaps most significantly, Ogun State’s approach did not treat compliance as optional. By linking the Learner’s Identification Number to participation in critical examinations such as the West African Senior School Certificate Examination and the Basic Education Certificate Examination, the government ensured widespread adoption. This enforcement mechanism proved decisive. It curtailed the long-standing problem of “ghost candidates,” blocked multiple registrations, reduced identity fraud, and reinforced the credibility of examination processes. In this sense, the LIN system evolved beyond a technological tool into an instrument of institutional integrity—one that strengthens accountability while safeguarding the authenticity of student identity across the education ecosystem. The impact of these changes has been far-reaching. Where inflated enrolment figures once distorted planning, the state now operates with verifiable data. Where gaps in record-keeping once hindered continuity, there is now a seamless academic trail for each learner. Efficiency has improved, accountability has deepened, and the broader education ecosystem has become more responsive. At the same time, the system enhances transparency for parents, reducing disputes over student records, results, and certification. Beyond administration, LIN is embedded within a broader digital learning ecosystem. Through Ogun State’s reform framework, students are not only identified but also connected to digital platforms where they can access lesson notes, recorded classes, and live teaching sessions, as well as retrieve certificates online. In this way, LIN serves as both an identity tool and a gateway to digital education, aligning with wider efforts to modernise learning delivery and expand access. It is little surprise, then, that the initiative began to attract attention beyond Ogun’s borders. Delegations from other states sought to understand its architecture, implementation strategy, and measurable outcomes. What they found was not an abstract proposal, but a working system—one already demonstrating gains in data integrity, administrative efficiency, and student tracking. The Federal Government’s decision to introduce a nationwide Learner’s Identification Number can therefore be seen as part of a broader pattern in governance: the scaling of proven ideas. Rather than starting from scratch, national policy has drawn from a model that has already been tested, refined, and validated at the subnational level. This process of policy diffusion underscores an important reality in Nigeria’s federal system. Innovation does not always originate at the centre. Increasingly, it emerges from states willing to experiment, adapt, and implement reforms tailored to their specific challenges. When successful, such initiatives provide a blueprint that others can follow, particularly in aligning public and private education systems under a unified framework—an effort strengthened through collaboration with bodies such as the National Association of Proprietors of Private Schools. Governor Abiodun’s role in this evolution reflects a governance approach that prioritises execution alongside vision. By embedding digitisation within a clear policy framework, his administration avoided the pitfalls of reform for its own sake. Instead, it focused on solving concrete problems—ensuring that technology serves as a means to stronger institutions, not an end in itself. As Nigeria moves forward with the nationwide rollout of the Learner’s Identification Number, it does so with the advantage of precedent. Ogun State has already demonstrated that the model is workable, scalable, and impactful. The task now is to replicate these outcomes across a far more complex national landscape, while addressing practical challenges such as digital infrastructure gaps, capacity building for educators, system adoption in rural areas, and the need for strong data protection and cybersecurity safeguards. Acknowledging the origins of this reform is not merely a matter of credit. It is an opportunity to recognise the value of practical innovation—of ideas grounded in experience, tested in reality, and refined through implementation. In the unfolding story of education reform in Nigeria, the journey of the Learner’s Identification Number offers a compelling lesson: meaningful change does not always begin with sweeping national declarations. Sometimes, it starts quietly, in a single state, with a clear vision and the discipline to see it through. From Ogun to the nation, that journey is now well underway.

IT’S TIME TO GET OGUN EAST SENATORIAL DISTRICT READY FOR PDA 4 SENATE AND PBAT 2027 According to OGO TUNTUN 4 PDA PBAT 2027 led by Rev Olusola Salau The journey toward 2027 has already begun, and the moment calls for vision, unity, and strategic action. The people of Ogun East Senatorial District must rise to the occasion and position themselves for purposeful representation and progressive leadership. The call is clear: it is time to prepare our district for PDA in the Senate and to mobilize strong support for Bola Ahmed Tinubu (PBAT) in 2027. Our mission under the Ogo Tuntun movement is rooted in transformation, inclusiveness and sustainable development. We believe Ogun East deserves a new wave of leadership that prioritizes people-centered governance, youth empowerment, economic revitalization and infrastructural growth. PDA represents not just a candidacy, but a commitment to effective representation that reflects the true aspirations of our people. The task before us is collective. Community leaders, youths, market women, professionals and traditional institutions must come together to build a strong political structure that will deliver victory at the polls. Grassroots engagement is key—we must educate, mobilize, and inspire every ward, every unit, and every household across Ogun East. As we prepare for 2027, our support for PBAT remains unwavering. Continuity in leadership at the national level is essential for consolidating ongoing reforms and ensuring Nigeria stays on the path of progress. Ogun East must not only align with this vision but take a leading role in delivering overwhelming support. This is not just about politics—it is about the future of our people. It is about creating opportunities, strengthening our communities, and ensuring that the voices of Ogun East are heard loud and clear in the Senate and across Nigeria. Let us rise together. Let us organize with purpose. Let us deliver victory. _____ President Tinubu’s State Visit to UK. Never underestimate the place of destiny. President Bola Ahmed Tinubu today, your journey has come full circle. I remember Hilton Metropole, 1994. In exile, I asked you rhetorically what the struggle had cost you. You said: a lot, including selling your houses in America to sustain the democratic cause. I told you then: never mind you would be the greatest beneficiary of that struggle. Today, in this same United Kingdom, where the concern then was how to secure travel documents to get to Auckland and push Nigeria’s democratic agenda at the Commonwealth meeting you are now being hosted by the King and country. History has a way of validating conviction. You went to Auckland. You stayed the course. And now, destiny has spoken. As I told you then: when my friends say something must move and it refuses they kick it. We did more than kick it. We moved serious nations to get here. Akanbi omo olode ide. Ikoyi eso omo a gbo won nu, je bin lolu olori ogun. I am happy for you. Truly. And yes I congratulate myself too, for seeing what destiny had already written. Alajobi agbe wa o. The optics are powerful. The moment is earned. But as you return, remember there is still work to be done. Otunba Segun Showunmi The Alternative ——— 2027 HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES: HON. KENNY BELLO REMAINS COMMITTED TO SERVING HIS CONSTITUENCY Our attention has been drawn to a recent rumour and fabricated claims circulating in some quarters alleging that Hon. Kenny Bello has stepped down from his purported ambition to contest the 2027 House of Representatives seat for the Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency. We wish to categorically state that this claim is false, misleading, and a calculated attempt by certain elements to misinform the public and create unnecessary confusion within the political space. Such baseless speculation only underscores the growing recognition of Hon. Kenny Bello as a formidable figure and a candidate to beat in the forthcoming contest within the All Progressives Congress (APC). While we sincerely appreciate our numerous supporters and loyalists for their vigilance, political maturity, and efforts in reaching out through calls and messages to verify the authenticity of this rumour, Hon. Kenny Bello urges everyone to remain calm, focused, and steadfast. He is deeply grateful for the overwhelming love, support, and commitment shown toward his aspiration to represent the good people of Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency. For the avoidance of doubt, this statement has become necessary to set the record straight and prevent the public from being further misled. At the appropriate time, and following due consultations and the release of official guidelines by the All Progressives Congress (APC), Hon. Kenny Bello will make his position known to the public. Thank you all for your continued support. God bless Ijebu North/Ijebu East/Ogun Waterside Federal Constituency. God bless Ogun State. PRINCESS ADESOLA AYOOLA-ELEGBEJI BACKS MINISTERIAL ACTION AS THREE FACTORIES ARE SHUT IN OGIJO OVER SERIOUS SAFETY VIOLATIONS The Honourable Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Hon. Nkeiruka Onyejeocha, has ordered the immediate closure of three factories in Ogijo, Ogun State, following grave safety breaches. This decisive action comes after the motion I raised on the floor of the House of Representatives, calling for an urgent legislative review of the outdated Factories Act and stronger enforcement of occupational safety and health standards across the country. The affected companies, African Refractory and Allied Products Limited (ARAP), African Non-Ferrous Industries Limited, and Metalworld Recycling Limited, were found to be operating under highly unsafe conditions. Workers were exposed to toxic substances, including used lead-acid batteries, handled without proper protective equipment, ventilation, or established safety procedures. These dangerous practices put workers at severe risk of lead poisoning and other life-threatening health conditions. In my motion, I stressed the urgent need to modernize our labour laws, strengthen inspection systems, enforce stricter penalties for violations, and ensure that no Nigerian worker is subjected to unsafe working conditions in the name of productivity. I commend the Honourable Minister and the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment for their swift response and firm enforcement. This action shows that legislative intervention, when pursued with commitment, can lead to real protection for our people. The safety, welfare, and dignity of Nigerian workers remain a top priority. We will continue to push for comprehensive reforms until workplaces across the country meet acceptable safety standards. The safety of residents and indigenes of Remoland is non-negotiable.
