One of the pioneer contemporary female rappers in the Nigerian entertainment scene, Shola Idowu popularly known as Weird MC who is currently in the UK talks about her new life since she became born again.

The 47-year-old also mentioned that she would still love to have children of her own because she is a lover of kids.

Speaking in a recent interview with Saturday Beats, she said:
“Right now, I am open to love, the love of God. All I would say is that everything would happen as he wills. Regarding having children, I came through someone, so someone has to come through me. I love kids a lot. I would love to have two. Growing up, there were six of us in the family, three boys and three girls; I do not know what the will of God is but I would love to have two children, a boy and a girl”.

“The death of Nomoreloss brought a void to my life but it was not necessarily the reason I gave my life to Christ. Nomoreloss and I were very close and his death came as a big shock to me because we spoke a few days before his death. I went to London for about a month and only returned to Nigeria to perform at Darey Art Alade’s show. When I called Nomoreloss, he sounded happy to hear from me and even asked if I was back. We were all playing and joking. He told me that he was somewhere at Dolphin Estate, so I told him to accompany me to the concert. I was excited to hang out with him but he just told me to go and have fun. I didn’t know he was ill at the time but he did not want me to know about it. After his death when I asked his brother why I was not informed, he said he was sure Nomoreloss did not want me to see him the way he was because he probably knew how emotional I could be seeing him. We were very close; more like brother and sister relationship.

“On that Monday, I was so busy and coincidentally I was not on twitter which is very unlike me. I noticed that Alariwo had called me several times eventually I picked his call and the next question he asked me was if the news was true and I was lost because I did not know what was happening. He broke the news to me and I told him that I did not like that type of news because I still spoke to him a few days earlier. One of my personal assistants was with me and he also acknowledged his death but I ignored him because I did not believe it to be true. I went to a friend’s office, Jide, and he also confirmed the news to me but I still did not believe them, so I called Omobaba. When he confirmed the news again, I was so shocked. I remember going to the mortuary and insisting that I wanted to see him because it was like a dream and there he was just lying down. I was so shocked. All I could say was, ‘wow! So Muyiwa you are gone.’ It was a big shock to me”.

“The appeal people have for me or the music I used to do take second place to God. If I feel overly concerned about the appeal, then the question would be who am I worshipping, my career or God. God created music as an engagement tool and the main reason music was created was for it to be used to worship Him. So if I take the musical talent God has given me and use it to honour him by sharing Him with the world, I think that is a good thing. I come from that background; the only difference is that I am now talking about God, I am now telling people that I have seen the light; come with me because this is what the light looks like. I think it is an amazing thing and people would see that I am now sincere. Founder Of The Infamous MMM Ponzi Scheme, Sergei Mavrodi Dies Of Heart Attack

Sergei Mavrodi, a Russian businessman and founder of the MMM Pyramid scheme, a Ponzi scheme that deprived millions of Russians of their savings in the 1990s, has died of a heart attack.

According to reports from a Russian media, Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty, on Monday, the 62-year-old was rushed to the hospital late on March 25 with pain in his chest and died several hours later.

The report read, “The emergency team has failed to save his life. He died this morning.”

Mavrodi’s MMM financial pyramid was a typical Ponzi scheme in which earlier investors receive their profits from subsequent investors. Mavrodi promised returns of 20 percent to 75 percent a month, as well as lotteries and bonuses for investors.

As soon as the number of new clients stopped growing, the pyramid collapsed, causing huge financial losses for at least 10 million people, in some cases leaving them destitute.

In 1994, Mavrodi was elected as a lawmaker, a decision he later said was to ensure he received immunity from prosecution. In 1996, he lost his parliamentary mandate.

In 2007, a Moscow court found him guilty of financial fraud and sentenced him to 4 1/2 years in a penal colony.

In 2011, Mavrodi launched another pyramid scheme called MMM-2011, calling on investors to purchase so-called Mavro currency units in a bid to get rid of the “unfair” financial system. Some 15 months later, Mavrodi halted the project.

From 2011-16, Mavrodi launched Ponzi schemes under the MMM brand in India, China, South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria.

In many of those countries, Mavrodi’s operations were subsequently shut down or suspended.

We shouldnt forgot that The Israelites donate their jewelry and other precious assets to help build the tabernacle in (Exod. 35:22).

Bishop Oyedepo was sighted at two different points on Tuesday evening March 20, with people swarming all over him. According to findings, he was there for nothing than evangelism.
The bishop was first sighted sitting in a toyota land cruiser prado jeep, plate number — near under sango bridge, facing Lagos-Abeokuta express road, preaching to a gathering of people.

After his preaching which lasted for about 30 mins, he told the crowd to put down their names and phone numbers in a piece of paper shared by his envoys.

He further told them that the collection of their details is to establish a contact with him. He said: “the number they collected from you is for you to share your testimony, because I know you will all have a testimony to share after this prayer.

Tonight, you will receive a message from a number and with that number you can share your testimony with me and also book an appointment with me.”

Following that the Africa’s richest pastor moved his convoy to Sango-Ota road, near the Shrine of Esu-Odara. The shrine is just a stone throw from where he was and as usual, he repeated his modules of preaching and also followed up by taking the details of the crowd with a promise of reaching back to them.

Those that made up the crowd were market men and also women, Agberos (Street Urchins), workers returning home and all sorts of people.

Meanwhile, the Ojubo Esu (Satan’s Shrine) has been at Sango bus stop junction for years. The small house painted in white and black is where Esu worshipers converge most times, especially every August 20th, to worship the deity.

Hollywood star, Jim Caviezel, who played Jesus in ‘The Passion of the Christ’ movie, has said he feels called by God to make Christian films to share the gospel.

The star plays the disciple Luke in his latest film, Paul, Apostle of Christ, which will be released later this month in the US.

“I’ll be point blank with you, my industry has been around for a century, the word of God has been around for 5,000 years if you want to go back to Moses and Abraham,’ he told The Christian Post when asked why he continues to plays religious roles in films.

‘Am I the right guy [for the parts]? No, I never thought I was the right guy to play Jesus [either] but a friend of mine told me this, he said – “God doesn’t always choose the best, but He chose you so what are you gonna do about it?”‘

Caviezel is critical of the ‘ego’ focused nature of Hollywood and also of Christians’ own reluctance to share their faith, warning that without evangelism church becomes like an ‘elite country club’.

‘I never focused on me, I just wanted to play the character well,’ he said of his role as Luke. ‘Christians need to understand that we are 2.3 billion, that’s much bigger than 300 million people in the United States but if we want to hold the truth, we have to show it by love.’

For the month of March, we want to highlight the amazing and inspiring Billy Graham. This amazing man was an American evangelist who preached all over the world leading millions, possibly billions to Christ. He served as a spiritual advisor to the U. S. presidents (Harry S. Truman to Barack Obama) and was vehemently against segregation at a time when a notion like that wasn’t very popular.

And though he had been so well known for so many years (and most definitely a name in my household), the first time I ever actually started to pay attention to him was when I first saw his TED Talk in 2010 (recorded 1998). I honestly thought it very interesting that they let a Christian preacher speak to people who seemed to focus a lot more on the technological and economic aspects of humanity, not always necessarily the spiritual.

In his 26 minute talk, he spoke about three problems technology cannot fix – human evil, human suffering, and death. He elaborated on each point referencing famous scientists like Einstein and biblical figures like David. And in a room full of philosophers, engineers and scholars, stood flat footed and claimed that David answered the three dilemmas with one passage.

Psalm 23:4: “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.”
Billy Graham lived a life of consistent evangelism and commitment to Christ and Christ’s people. He was bold and unwavering in his mission to proclaim the gospel to any and all who would hear it. He showed us all how to counter the culture and stay peculiar.

March 12, 2018 makes it 20 years that the icon and ambassador of the gospel of Christ to the world, Benson Idahosa departed suddenly. He continues to speak loudly even in death. What many do not know is that he actually described in vivid terms how he was to depart when his time was over and that was exactly what happened on the day he died at the ripe young age of 59 years and 6 months. Leke Beecroft brings together the description by Idahosa in one of his
sermons “Benefit of Death” of his death with the day he actually died as documented in The Week magazine editions of 17 and 30 March 1998 for the first time ever in his
forthcoming book, as yet another evidence that as controversial as he might have seemed, truly, Idahosa was a man of God.
“I will go when my work is finished; therefore when I am gone nobody should be double-minded concerning the will of God for my death. I am going to go by the will of God, not
the will of witches or wizards. No man can kill me. Many have tried to hurt me spiritually and physically to no avail.

God has not given the key of the vault in which he has hidden me to any man or devil. He did not invest so much in me only to hand me over to the devil to fulfil his dark and
unholy idiosyncracies. I am indestructible by the grace of God, so are you if you know my Jesus. You know, here in Edo land, I do not know about you and where you come from, but here in Edo land, where I am from, when a man dies, the wife is always accused of having killed him.

I share a beautiful life with my wife Margaret, at least as beautiful as my human nature and God’s grace in my life can make it. She is not dreaming of killing me-she is the flesh of my flesh and bone of my bones, the wife of my

Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the
Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, on Friday visited Benue State and prayed for God’s intervention in the ongoing killings in the State.

The cleric led a cross-section of Benue people to pray for the state, assuring that God would take up the battle and put an end to killings everywhere in Nigeria.

“We will call on God to fight this battle that we cannot fight. I’m here to pray for the state that the helper of the helpless will fight our battle.

Reacting to the news that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Lagos Zonal office, arraigned one Olawunmi Dilureni before Justice S.O. Solebo of the Lagos State High Court sitting in Ikeja on an eight-count charge of conspiracy, obtaining money by false pretence and stealing to the tune of Twenty-three Million, Three Hundred and Twenty Thousand Naira (N23,320,000. 00), House of Freedom has released a press statement debunking the involvement of Dr. Tony Rapu, pastor of This Present House Church.

The press statement reads:

“Our attention has been drawn to a story carried by various media outlets stating that someone named ‘Tony Rapu’ is a party in an alleged fraud case involving one Olawunmi Dilureni and the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission(EFCC). We hereby notify the public that Pastor Tony Rapu is in no way connected to the alleged fraud case. Pastor Rapu never invested in a diesel supply business as alleged, nor has he been defrauded by any Olawunmi Oluremi; neither is he a party to any case with the EFCC. We request the media outlets concerned to immediately retract the publications to avoid further action.

However Dr. Tony Rapu has denied his involvement in the deal and the on-going trial to which the defendant pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to her.

Justice Solebo adjourned the case to March 14, 2018 for hearing of the application for bail and ordered the defendant to be remanded in prison custody pending the hearing of her bail application.

Dr Tony Rapu, works to tackle social issues such as drug addiction, prostitution and urban development, through his Freedom Foundation, a nonprofit organization. Multi-award winning Gospel artist, Sammie Okposo reminisces on his past in a chat with Punch’s Saturday Beats. He shares how he abandoned his Christian upbringing for what the world has to offer.

The producer, psalmist, entertainment consultant to mention but a few revealed how he shunned the Christian background he had as a child to explore the world and how he even ended up with the “wrong crowd” who later became highway robbers.

“I did not do any of the crazy stuff like drugs but I was generally stubborn and I moved with the wrong set of people who almost lured me into a wrong environment. I have been around guys who ended up becoming highway robbers,” he says.

The singer continues, “My mother would tell me that she did not like the guys I moved with. When we got out of school, one day I turned on the television only to see that those my friends were wanted by law enforcement agents who later caught up with some of them and they are dead. It made me ask myself, what if I had followed those guys? I would probably have been dead by now.”

And, along with talking about Graham’s influence on himself and his ministry, Hinn also got surprisingly candid about his philosophy on the so-called “prosperity gospel.”

Though he said , “We get attacked for preaching prosperity, well it’s in the Bible,” he continued, “But I think some have gone to the extreme with it sadly, and it’s not God’s word what is taught, and I think I’m as guilty as others.
