Born blind, MacIntyre later experienced kidney failure, pain, and uncertainty as he awaited two transplants — difficult and draining experiences that led him and his wife, Christina, to rely on their faith in God as they faced the unknown.

MacIntyre, who got his start in 2009 as the first blind finalist to ever compete on “American Idol,” reveals in PureFlix.com’s new documentary, “I Am Hope: Scott MacIntyre’s Inspirational Transplant Journey” the scope of the difficulties — and victories — he encountered as he awaited his second kidney transplant.

MacIntyre’s life-threatening illnesses started when he was just 19 years old — before he achieved celebrity status as a contestant on “American Idol.”

“I got a phone call that changed my life forever,” he recently told “The Billy Hallowell Podcast.” “I found out that my kidneys were failing.”

MacIntyre quickly realized that he faced a life-or-death situation — one that he had no power to help himself out of, as he faced extreme exhaustion and other health challenges that suddenly impeded his ability to sing or play the piano.

Then, the wife of his piano teacher gave him the gift of life: she donated her kidney to him. Less than a year later, MacIntyre was back on stage competing on the eighth season of “American Idol.”

“From the time I was a little kid I had a dream of sharing my music with people. I could picture it,” he said. “I just really felt like that’s what I was supposed to do… God really put it on my heart to have a music career.”

That amazing gift of a healthy kidney bought MacIntyre eight healthy years, allowing him to perform, reach celebrity status and to marry his wife, Christina.

Soon, though, his new kidney also started to fail and the married couple was faced with a tragic reality: MacIntyre would once again need a kidney transplant. “I Am Hope” shows what the husband and wife faced as they trusted God and waited. Watch “I Am Hope” for the whole story.

Christina also reflected on the difficult journey the couple faced during her joint appearance on “The Billy Hallowell Podcast.”

“My faith definitely deepened a lot during that time and how much I love Scott definitely deepened, too,” she said. “We were able to see past so many ‘surfacy’ and trivial things. We don’t really argue about things that don’t matter.”

Christina continued, “I had to just get my strength from God.”

MacIntyre said that he and Christina truly had to learn “how to find joy in the middle of the struggle,” with his wife echoing that she’s hoping “I Am Hope” can help viewers do the same in their own lives should challenges arise.

“You can find joy in difficult circumstances,” she said.

MacIntyre ended up receiving another new kidney after an anonymous donor generously reached out and offered to help all of which is documented in “I Am Hope.” Through his struggles, he said he’s learned a plethora of lessons about life, God and hope.

“Going through a kidney transplant twice now has really helped me to understand a lot more about God’s greater gift of eternal life,” MacIntyre said. “Here I was powerless to save myself until my kidney donors stepped in and gave me the gift of life. Well, we’re all powerless to save ourselves from sin until Jesus Christ offers us the much greater gift of eternal life on the cross.”

My point remains that money is useful, but the Gospel is Powerful with or without money, because the Holy Spirit Is The Driving Force.

So we should not seek money first before we seek the Kingdom, that is a satanic setup. “But GOD chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; GOD chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong.”-1 Corinthians 1:27.

It is a shame that we now have a Gospel that can not be effective except there is money.

The Pastor of the Flock of Christ Mission, Warri, Delta State, Bishop Simeon Okah, has announced that henceforth, any member of his church that has not obtained his Permanent Voters’ Card, PVC, “would not be allowed to worship.”

Pastor Okah is also The South-South Vice President of the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria, PFN, and he made the statement while speaking with newsmen on Saturday in Warri, Delta State. He said gone were the days when Christians see politics as sin.

He said:
“From Thursday, any member of my church who does not have his or her voter’s card would not enter this house (Church). By the grace of God, I am the one God used in founding the Flock of Christ Mission.”

Few weeks ago after we got to the hotel from a night of worship in Abuja, my wife said to be “honey, a woman came to me and asked that I pray for her so her sisters or daughters can have a husband like mine?.”

While she heard that prayer, she said in her heart, this woman has no idea what she is asking for. And we had a good laugh. I remember Jesus answering same when some disciples asked Him a question. “ 38 But Jesus said unto them, Ye know not what ye ask: can ye drink of the cup that I drink of? and be baptized with the baptism that I am baptized with?” My wife pays a huge price for my calling. Believe me when I say huge.

My trips, prayer &amp; music times, calls, church, counseling folks. I remember some of the nights during the Hallelujah Challenge when friends had to take over from me, I would be upstairs praying for my children who were both ill as well as my wife who at some point joined throwing up, and would come down to continue the praise session. Those early times of our marriage when it hit her the sort of schedule I had, I’d come home to find her in tears. Would hug and encourage her.

Then much later when she’s fine I’d ask jokingly, if she would still marry me if she had an inkling of my schedule, she’ll pause, smile and say yes. That’s why it’s sad to see people come on social media to rain abuses on pastors (genuine ones I mean), tearing them apart because of some little things they have, not knowing that most of them weren’t even bought but given. After years of sowing seeds.

Anyway, that’s for another day.
Today’s to celebrate God’s faithfulness in our lives for the past 5 years and looking forward to the next 85 at least (�). Here we don’t divorce. We are here for LIFE! And to my dear wife, thanks for being with me. At the top of the year, beloved world-renowned evangelist Luis Palau made the surprising announcement that he was diagnosed with Stage 4 lung cancer. In a recent update, however, the minster testified that his doctors are shocked by the results of his recent test results.

“We had a very encouraging meeting with the doctors this morning regarding my chemotherapy treatment,” Palau wrote on his Facebook page. “After two months of therapy for Stage 4 lung cancer, the doctors were amazed at the results from the recent CT scan and blood work.”

“All tumors had shrunk by one-third! No new growth of the tumors whatsoever. All fluid around my lungs was resolved. Blood work looked good,” he explained.

The results were so uncommon for someone with stage four cancer that Palau said the doctors were stunned and the family is giving glory to God.

“PRAISE THE LORD! The medical team reiterated that this chemotherapy treatment was only expected to slow the growth of the tumors. They never expected the treatment to actually reverse the growth. Everyone is very encouraged and praising the Lord for the wonderful news,” he wrote. “Because of the great results, the doctors feel confident another round of this same therapy is the right step forward. So begins another two months of chemotherapy and then tests once again.”

The Palau family and team are very encouraged by the results and are asking for continued prayers as they step into the next round of chemotherapy treatment.

“Although results have been encouraging… amazing really… it’s not easy on the body. Pray for continued strength and peace,” Palau concluded. “It is still a battle. The outcome is still unknown. We take it one day at a time, trusting the Lord. But today we are very encouraged! Thank you for your prayers!”

Joyce Meyer Defends Tattoos, Says She Might Get One to Make Religious People Mad
During a recent conference, Christian speaker Joyce Meyer made a biblical case for getting tattoos and admitted she has been thinking of getting one herself just to shut the mouths of religious people.

The video clip posted by Joyce Meyer Ministries on March 14 kicks off with Meyer explaining the difference between being holy and religious.

“Holiness is not legalism,” Meyer declared.

She went on to explain that religious people have made a mess of holiness by putting a bunch of rules and regulations on people. She listed drinking, dancing, wearing makeup and more among those rules.

Meyer quoted Isaiah 44:5 in defense of getting permanent markings. The scripture says, “One will say, I am the Lord’s; and another will call himself by the name of Jacob; and another will write [even brand or tattoo] upon his hand, I am the Lord’s, and surname himself by the [honorable] name of Israel.”

She also shared the counterargument often used to discourage believers from getting tattoos found in Leviticus 19:28: “Do not cut your bodies for the dead, and do not mark your skin with tattoos. I am the LORD.”

Televangelist Pat Robertson, among others, has cited Leviticus to argue that getting tattoos is a “heathen practice.”

“You look at the Bible, the people are told not to mark their bodies and cut themselves like the heathen did. Tattooing is a heathen practice, it is not a Christian practice,” Robertson said in 2016.

But Meyer rejected the argument and contended that God also tattooed those He loves to Himself.

“The Bible says in Isaiah 49 that God has a picture of you tattooed on the palm of His hand,” she maintained.

“I’m right on the verge of going and getting a tattoo,” she added, pointing to her shoulder blade. “I thought I might as well just push all the religious people right off the cliff and just get it over with.”
