Flick sabi sha, the way he structured the team in the second half, it didn't even look like we were a man down. And he is working with just scraps. I just hope we don't have any other injuries, because our squad right now is very thin.

Colson:

Laporta: em egbon Pep, even if na 5m make una bring na. E no make sense say we go just dash una Gundogan for free like that, for this period wey we need money. You sef try help your boyhood club na

Pep: Egbon laporta, me don try o, oga sheikh no go gree for that one wey you dey talk. Atleast I wan help una offset him salary and space make una for fit register olmo. If you no gree, kukuma carry your Gundogan.

Laporta: ah, no talk like that na. Oya make una carry

grin grin
😂😂 Deco too useless dawg, him dey follow abidal footsteps.
I can't wait to see this surprise signing, though I won't be shocked if it's chiesa we sign.
This has been a very terrible transfer window.
But if laporta fit boot out messi, no player is above being pushed out
That Dutch fraud is lucky he is injured.

TAKEAWAYS FROM FIRST OFFICIAL MATCH....

Decent game.... Work in progress. Hard fought win.

One thing I noticed is based on this match, Flick is quick to make crucial changes, which is good and doesn't wait till things fall apart right under his nose. He saw Cubarsi has been on a yellow and was the most crucial backbone in defence and was making way more tackles due to the uselessness of Inigo Martinez, and he quickly removed him before causing further damage. Despite being a difficult situation.
Removed Marc Bernal to limit and control the boy's minutes as he knows he's still in early development phase. Bernal is yet to adapt to first team full 90mins football. Not saying he's not up to par, but he somehow tires quickly with the way I noticed he always gasps for breath around 30mins in the first half. So it's very important his playing time is managed till he fully adapts and that's where I praise Flick's foresight.

Marc Casado and Bernal are great together. It's very obvious Casado plays better with Bernal alongside him. Both gems needs to be protected. One thing I noticed is, Casado is very quick to release the ball.... doesn't like holding on to the ball for even a second, which makes him have more ball losses or misplaced passes, but it's good. Shows he's a risk taker. And we need more of that.

Ter Laden will obviously Terrorise us this season. And Inigo Martinez is a calamity waiting to happen. Bro needs to be sold ASAP and this is why I'm annoyed and saddened by Mikayil Faye's imminent departure. No left footed CB again if he goes and something happens to Inigo. Martinez was the face of failure in this match, tons of misplaced and poor passes and continued spamming of long balls that refuse to meet the intended target and instead gifts the ball to the opponents.

It's a match we would have easily won 3-1 or 4-1, but we'd take the win either way. The 3 points is important and we didn't play too shabby.

Flick's substitutions are good to great and mostly addresses issues on the field immediately spotted. That's how you measure a tactician dexterity.

As for Ferran, na God go punish am. Pau Victor is going places and will light up Catalonia.

Not our strongest squad with the absentees, but we made good use of what we had. And the La Masia boys are a joy to watch and renewed hope.
My only issue na this high line, flick obviously cares about attacking, creating multiple chances and scoring as many goals possible.
So he should tell the attackers to always take their chances, because we will concede lots of goals this season.

Exactly 100% you have said what's on my mind.
And most importantly, xavi needs to go, the team needs a fresh leader that is not Spanish.

The defeat is painful but the reason why i am hopeful Is that we are building a solid team that will make the world tremble very soon.
Rome wasn't built in a day, next season we will be back, better, wiser and stronger.

It all boils down to laporta in being careful In who our next coach is and cancelo and Felix should be sent back to where they came from.

Lewandowski should leave, we need total rebranding with hungry young kids.
Especially that cancelo, very casual player.
My own is if there is no money for a world class coach, laporta should find a way to make Xavi stay.

Tuchel and Flick are both world class coaches but I'm more keen on Flick. Both are available too. It's true that I've been very critical of TooKle in the past but he's better than Marquez, Motta and Xavi. If we get him, he's an instant upgrade. So him or Flick.

Motta and Marquez are both doing fine in their jobs but in terms of taking Barca to the next level, they're both non entities for now until proven otherwise.

You asked for two, I've named two, should I add a third?

You're welcome 🤗
Abeg remove tuchel😂

Name one or two top class coach you want at barca

Or forever remain silent
Flick will be a great fit for Barca, but he will be expensive.
Germany's current coach is probably a great fit too, but na still money.
Make laporta go hustle abeg, because on top of all these, we still need a good DM and a proper LW.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by brandon180(m): 10:55pm On Apr 16
I hope Lewa leaves after this season, Xavi should use this remaining time left and get Vitor roque up to speed.
If he doesn't leave, I hope the next coach is brave enough to bench him.
This one I dey hear Rafa Marquez or thiago Motta as potential replacement, make laporta no do abeg. If it's not flick or nagellsman, Laporta should find a way to make Xavi stay.

Just shùt up abeg.. you're sounding so stup!d
Tell him to go and check first leg possession stats, Xavi's approach to the game was perfect.
But the werey xavi wey suppose dey sideline motivate him team, go collect red card.

The most annoying thing about this match is the docile approach to the game.

We were in our home and we still dey play overly defensive. Our players or midfield didn't even try to wrestle control from them. They just relinquished possession to them.
Around the 70th minute where the team see morale to start a pushback? They left it too late to mount any form of resistance.

Also the home fans are one stupid bunch of supporters. Cos sometimes I dey wonder whether na our home we dey. No support or anything. Even when we were losing with just a goal dem don give up already. Very stupid lots.

Our coach Xavi sef is a stupid coach. I expected him to remove one of the underperforming midfielders instead of Yamal. This match was glaring even from the first leg that we can't defend against their firepower. Na to score more than them and reduce their attack. But no, coach no get sense to switch up gameplay when normal things didn't work. The idiot still get liver collect a red card in same match. Very irresponsible coach. Xavi is not a coach for a top team since he can't manage his stupid anger issues. Na FC cologne him suppose dey manage.

This match don make me change my perception of Araujo. I no sure say I fit forgive that guy for the nonsense he did today.
Cancelo, no need to renew that clown. Make him find another club.
Switch up gameplay to what? The only thing xavi did wrong was collect a red.
Sometimes I dey wonder if una dey really watch out matches.

Oga sh^t the f^^k if you don't have any reasonable thing to say. What was he supposed to do? He should leave the guy to go and score as a defender

Dumbest talk tonight

It's understandable, many people dey talk rubbish for here this night.
European Football (EPL, UEFA, La Liga) / Re: Fc Barcelona Fan Thread: "més Que Un Club" by brandon180(m): 10:27pm On Apr 16
Emotional fans everywhere, proud of this team jare. Xavi's subs were spot on, but he has zero emotional control, he should work on that. Without the red card, we would have won this PSG team properly.
God punish lewandowski, he should be sold at the end of the season.
Another trophyless season.
And for those saying an experienced manager is coming next season, dey play.
You guys are yet to understand that Barcelona is broke.
