So them de give parking ticket for naija? cheesy
Anyway, I don't think you have anything to worry about in that regard. Not sure but I think I've come across a statement somewhere that excludes traffic offences. But even if traffic offences are not exempted I wouldn't mention it in my application or when I go to apply for a criminal record certificate at alagbon.
Once you pay it 7k at alagbon you get your criminal record certificate and case closed. That is our naija for you.
I was amazed how fast my criminal record certificate was processed, even had to ask myself if it was authentic. Don't think those guys check anything. They just collect money and give you the thing.
Oh wow. Thanks a lot then.

you mean a parking ticket in Nigeria, Nigeria or Nigeria, London?
Hehe. Yeah. Lagos Nigeria. It happened on one of those days when the police were seizing plate numbers from vehicles parked on the roads. To retrieve the license plate numbers, they registered the offenders onto their system and the offenders had to pay the fee into a bank, receipts were issued, a mini court session in their office etc. A hassle honestly but yeah, It's somewhere on their system, there's a receipt (some sort of evidence). Don't know if it's anything to worry about or not; if it's going to become something that one has to defend at every point of application or registration etc. And with all the information about car insurance on this thread, causes one to ponder...

Hi everyone,

I have learnt so much from this page and it's been really insightful, very funny and informative. I actually really enjoy the little of bits of sarcasm thrown in. Thanks for your contributions.

I have a question... Ok, a couple... . Does having a parking ticket (in Nigeria) affect the application for a tier 2 or tier 5 visa, and would it be a problem when applying for permanent residency in the long run? Said parking ticket has been registered and is in the police records. Would one need to declare that when filling an application form or can it be skipped? And if its skipped, can it be detected later?

Thanks so much.
