Bawss1: All the cool kids are moving to Abuja

Once you have your accommodation sorted then Abuja is a rather nice place to live in. The roads are much better than what you find in other Nigerian cities, the pace of life somewhat relaxed and security/crime rate is on the low side. . .
By having your accommodation sorted, I mean by not living in the outskirts or satellite towns in Suleja or Nassarawa. Those areas offer cheap housing and nothing else. People who live in such areas face gangster traffic, over crowding and basically a rugged life. You will want to live close to the city center or in any of the numerous estates around. These areas have easy access to lovely shopping locations, plazas, schools, banks and other staples needed for modern life, just prepare for the high rent and service charges then you are good.
lol@gangster traffic. Yes i know what you mean i served in Nasarawa and was going to abuja steady. Btw im not a kid *hehe*. Yes the accomodation is all sorted out in its in the center of the town. Thanks so much. @mgbeke we are moving to Abuja for the same reason you moved to America. All of us cant stay in our home state u know. Anyways thanks.

FoodRe: Pls How Do I Make Yoghurt @ Home by breadplanet(f): 9:02pm On Jul 09, 2013
8. Pour hot water into a cooler ( as hot as you can bath with without wounding yourself).
9. Put the bowl of warm milk into the cooler, if it floats hold it down with something ( i use breakable bowls).
10. Cover tightly and leave to incubate for at least 8hrs (they write 4hrs on the yogurmet satchet but trust me that is not enough).
11. U can check after like 5hrs to see if d water had cooled down considerably. If it has top it off with hot water (but i dont bother with this when i incubate overnite). Pls don't jolt the bowl.
12. After 8hrs open the bowl and bend it a bit u'll see that d yogurt has set.
13. Refrigerate immediately without turning it for like 2 to 4 hrs but if u want to eat immediately put it in d freezer for at least 1 hr b4 eating.
NOTE: one satchet of yogurmet is for 4cups of milk which you'll get with dis recipe.
PLEASE dnt finish the yogurt o i know its sweet but dis one as far as im concerned is just the starter for subsequent yogurts. I just use small white nylon and tie as much as possible (4tablespoons each) put in a container and into the freezer.
Then whenever i feel like yogurt i just take one nylon and start the process all over again just dat now i mix in the yogurt not the powdered culture.
This time around it takes just 5 to 6 hrs for the yogurt to set i just leave it longer for as much as 12hrs depending on how sour i want it. And with each nylon (4tablespoons) i use 4cups powdered milk to 8cups water.
It's long i know but once u get the hang of it its quite easy.
Happy yogurt making!
FoodRe: Pls How Do I Make Yoghurt @ Home by breadplanet(f): 8:40pm On Jul 09, 2013
1. Buy powdered milk and powdered yogurt culture (Yogurmet) its N250 per satchet. 2. Boil water and sterilize your measuring cup, spoons, bowl, sieve and pot.
3. Measure out 2cups powdered milk and mix in 4 cups water.
4. Put milk on fire and bring ALMOST to a boil.
5. Remove from heat and allow to cool until warm (when u can hold a finger in d milk for some seconds without getting burnt)
6. Use sm of d warm milk to mix a satchet of Yogurmet then introduce to the rest of d milk and mix properly.
7. Pour the milk through a sieve into the bowl you'll use to incubate and cover.

ileobatojo: Hmmm, I'd really like to help you out of this important dilemma so let's see.

How about, if she wears a pointy black hat, if she has a flying broom, if she has a witchcraft spellbook, if she boils strange things in a cauldron, if she has a black cat nko?

I truly hope this went a long way in solving your problem.
Exactly what i had in mind.

igbi: thanks breadplanet,i l go for the stand,am in abuja do you know how much it goes for?
there are some that can be had for as low as 7k (masterchef n co) and there r some that goes as high as 25k or more depending on ur budget. Just go to a reputable shop u'll see a wide range of stand mixers.
FoodRe: Cake Mixer Questions by breadplanet(f): 1:01pm On Jul 06, 2013
Well i believe dat whatever is worth doing is worth doing well so i'd advice u to go for a stand mixer its so much more better than a hand mixer n good ones last way longer. Btw u can get a hand mixer for as low as 5k or even less.

Oh oh cant find my nxt post.. Anyways i poured my picked beans into the bowl i used for mixing bread dough n added water and in less than 2mins d skin was so softened that washing it off was not difficult, i couldnt believe it so 2 days later i tried again this time around i added a little flour to d beans and water and in less than 2mins i was able to wash d skin off without much scrubbing. And that is how i wash beans now without stress try it and you would testify *hehe*. Any other ways to make cooking chores easy? Let us know!

FoodRe: How Do I Make Sardine Egg? by breadplanet(f): 6:49pm On Jul 05, 2013
CrazyMan: I don’t really know much about egg sardine, but I would provide you with a recipe on how to make another kind of egg meal.

Burst like a crate or half of egg into a bowl, add magi, salt, fruit tomatoes and pepper, beat with a spoon, then pour into a stainless plate and boil (the way you boil moi-moi)

after a couple of minutes, bring it down and serve...men that’s one of the best kind of egg I've eaten...don't know the name though, but it tastes really yummy.
hmmm... I'll try dis first thing in d morning. Not with a crate of eggs o!
