It's temporary. Jos is our base. The electricity supply is good in the Miango Road axis which I am familiar with. Up to 20 hours supply on the average at the Federal and State housing estates.

From time to time, crises erupt but if you observe some security protocols, you will be okay. There are, after all, many foreigners living and doing business in Jos. Even when the crisis was at its peak.

You get a high quality of life and your money counts. The economic strains are now visible so you need to research the type of business you plan to go into.

I'm sorry but I have no idea of the cost of rent in Jos.
Thank you so much for the insightful information.

There are some areas that enjoy more electricity than others. Generally, Oron Road and Nwaniba and some parts of Ikot Ekpene Road, Some parts of Idoro Road do enjoy more electricity than others.

In Oron Road, areas around Osunama, Shelter Afriq, Ewet Housing, Mbiaobong (that time market area) do enjoy more electricity than most.

In Nwaniba, areas around the Ravines (that big ravine that goes all the way to the back of Govt House to uniuyo), areas around 4 Lane (because of the substation) do enjoy more electricity than most.

In ikot ekpene Road, areas around the substation, areas around ikot udoro do enjoy more electricity than most.

But to be sure, ask around. Ask the agent.
Ok. Thank you so much for putting in lots of details.

Why Ikot Abasi when you can have all that at Ewet Housing, Uyo?
Hi. Well it's because I don't have a huge budget to cover rent. Can I get a self contain at ewet housing for 150k?.
Or can you tell me the areas in uyo that gets steady electricity?
Thanks.

Hi @lorhema. I read a post you wrote about living in jos. I can see you've moved to lagos.
I'm thinking about relocating to jos. Is it advisable to move there? What's the electricity situation like? And what's the average cost of a self contain?
Thanks.
