MACBAN BLASTS SENATE PRESIDENT: SAYS HE MIGHT BE IPOB SPONSOR.
NasarawaReports.

The Miyetti Allah Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria have reacted to the position of Bukola Saraki over the proscription of IPOB as a terrorist group. The group called on the federal government to investigation the activities of the Senate President so as to ascertain his involvement or sponsorship of IPOB.
This statement was made by the National coordinator of MACBAN, Garus Gololo at Markurdi, Benue state, while speaking to newsmen on the relative detriment of the activities of IPOB and Fulani Herdsmen.

Garus noted that the activities of IPOB is an obvious threat to the unity of Nigeria, stating that it posed severe danger than the clashes between Fulani Herdsmen and farmers.

According to him, the statement made by Saraki, faulting the proscription of the group by the federal government, was inciting and a clear signal that Saraki might be supporting the agitation by IPOB to divide Nigeria. He further argued that Saraki ’s presence in the National Assembly was a threat to the unity and oneness of Nigeria.

His words: “I think it is a high-time the federal government commenced full scale investigation into Senator Bukola Saraki’s activities in the Senate. I doubt if that man has the interest of this country, Nigeria, at heart".
"We can’t continue to have someone in power that would declare support for a group agitating to break up Nigeria. We are for one Nigeria and in unity we stand".
“The ability of the government to declare IPOB as a terrorist group has saved the country from a premeditated war that could have led to the collapse of the unity and peaceful coexistence of Nigeria.” he concluded.

NasarawaReports.

Usman Mustapha has condemned the recent amendments on NASSA's constitution, saying that due process and legalities was not followed. The comrade made this claim through a Press-release on Sunday 24th September 2017. He referenced section 50 of the constitution as the prescribed process for the amendment of NASSA constitution.

The Press release reads "it is imperative to notify all the NASSAites and indeed the general public that the whole process of the constitution amendment is unconstitutional". However, the release specifically highlighted sections in the constitution that upholds the illegallities of the recent amendments.

Comrade Usman buttressed on the alleged false claim by Emmanuel Ovye as the Senate President of NASSA's National body. In this release, he stated that Emmanuel and his Cohorts have been parading themselves as distinguished members and leaders of the association through sponsorships and supports from selfish and unpatriotic government officials. The report from Comrade Mustapha states that Emmanuel Ovye is not the legitimate Senate president, and also no longer a student, therefore he isn't a NASSA Senator.

However, the Comrade through the press release called on NASSAites, both at home and in diaspora to regard the document as worthless and ineffective, upholding that the original constitution to be binding on all and sundry.

GOV. ALMAKURA INSPECTS THE DREDGING OF AMBER RIVER
- NasarawaReports.

Governor Tanko Almakura Visited and inspected the dredging of the 3km stretch of Amber river which connects to the Lafia water works. The project is aimed at removing the blockages like clay buildups and garbages to allow the free flow of the river into the dam.

The Governor explained the different phases of the projects, he says that the first phase of work would be to expand, excavate and dredge the 3km stretch back to the original design, considering an expansion of the width and length, while the second phase would involve the building of drainages that would channel away all the human garbage/ waste that gets into the river.

Notably this river was constructed in 1984, but it's importance has not be sufficiently utilised, since the blockages and abandonment of the project and that is why the Almakura led government have spotlighted this project so as to explore it's benefit for the people of the state.

However, the project will also help improve and provide quality/portable water for people leaving within the Lafia environment.

Eventually, some persons extended their appreciation to his Excellency, Gov. Tanko Almakura for his efforts at ensuring that the state make a plausible paradigm shift away from the lukewarm approach to infrastrutural development.

NASARAWA STATE PRIMARY EDUCATION REPORTS: NSUBEB'S CHAIRMAN EXPRESSED DISSATISFACTION.
- BridgeNewsToday.

The Nasarawa State Universal Basic Education Board, chaired by Hon. Mohammed Musa Dan'Arzimi has reported the devastating situation of public primary schools in Nasarawa state.
He made this complains during his Familiarisation/Assessment Tour on public schools at Eyke and Doma local government areas in the state.
During the tour they visited several primary and secondary schools managed by the state government educational authority. The evaluation, review and supervision of public schools in these local government areas was disapproving. In some schools, pupils and teachers are yet to resume after two weeks of the actual resumption date - the schools were met empty.
The chairman expressed dissatisfaction on the discipline of head teachers, poor moral developments in pupils and the general devastating learning environment in public schools. He therefore called on parents/guardians, religious leaders and traditional rulers to encourage the enrolment of children into schools as the new academic calendar will open soon.
However, Bridge-News-Today have encouraged the government on its part to ensure that the welfare of teachers are sufficiently delivered so as to motivate them and also encourage them in the cause of their duties. More so, the structure for conducive learning is also a responsibility of the government, enough must be done to manage this situation so as to enable an improved educational sector in Nasarawa state.
