It is with deep sorrow that I write this.
We Akwaibomites are usually very peaceful and are not the types to complain easily. This is the reason why Udom Emmanuel thinks he can do anything to us and get away with it.
While Udom is busy building mansions in his village and who-knows-elsewhere we the latest employed staff of Akwa Ibom Civil Service (employed since Nov/Dec 2014) have not received even a kobo of our salaries from the Government and we are expected to come to work daily.
Most of us have been borrowing money from people and our sponsors are now tired of supporting us.
It is going to a year since we were employed, yet our salaries have been withheld all in the name of countless biometrics.
Udom has fixed our money in the bank to attract interests for him.
Everyday we are asked to sign one paper or the other in the name of bank verification yet we have not seen any salary.
Some of us who are posted to far places spend a lot of money on transportation to and from work yet Udom does not care.
My lawyer cousin who was also employed with me told me that they sponsor themselves to courts, prisons and police stations daily without any salary. They also sponsored themselves to Bar Conference in Abuja in August 2015 without even a single penny support from Udom/the Government.
The engineers are not left out as they are sent out to the field in a scorching sun with empty stomachs.
Human Rights activists in Nigeria please intervene in this matter. The masses should please join us into talking sense into our obviously selfish Governor into paying us our accumulated salaries.
I am a married man with a family to support. Udom please don't make us think of commiting suicide like that civil servant in Bayelsa who committed suicide due to unpaid 13-month salaries. Don't reduce us to beggars/chronic borrowers either.
We are tired of this hardship! We are grieving.

Why is it a silly thread my friend? Because it exposed your less than 10 projects in 8 years crooked and incompetent Akpabio?

This is not even about being biased, it's more about setting the records straight with documented facts, facts that you and your Akpabio groupies couldn't dispute with your own facts.

Everything Akpabio did is on record so you people can not make up anything he didn't do.


Apart from the few roads and flyover, all he completed are ----


1 library

1 still unused and redundant waste called football field

1 cinema

1 irrelevant and egotistic mall

1 and only barely completed hospital

1 flood barrier



With the largest state budget in West Africa and less than 5 million population and after 8 years in office ^^^^^^ That's all he delivered, barely over 5 projects.


....while Fashola with smaller budget commissions projects everyday non stop.


These are the facts and this is why Akpabio's projects can not fill more than half a page on NL while Fashola's projects fills pages after pages..

You really should tell us why Akwa Ibom the richest state in Nigeria with the largest budget completed only 2 projects apart from few roads and flyover in 8 long years.

Tells us what happened to the N500+ billion he budgets every year...

Many of them are just too ignorant because they dont know how states function. For their to be any project or development, there must be budgets and funds allocation for the projects, their must be contract awards and so on. In Akwa Ibom just like in other states, we know what was awarded and budgeted for so you can not make up projects or lie about what doesnt exist and this is the reason why they can not come up with anything completed by akpabio apart from the few roads and fly over. 1 library and 1football field.

Throwing tantrums instead of posting facts to challenge my assertions means they agree with my assertions.

I understand but what abt d two underground drainage completed n commissioned, one in calabar-itu highway, one in Abak town, Abak bridge is 100% completed. Government is completed. Outfall drain dt started from ring road area is completed, d access road der is on course, d specialist hospital is completed, on decorating state, four point hotel is completed, just arranging d car parks for commissioning next week, was der today to check it, remember oil n gas plant d former governor started since 2003 n left, he finished it n commissioned it by GEJ,completed 5 bridges, look at schools he worked on, i hv refused to talk abt roads cos its visible to d blind. This is where many of you get it all wrong. All the talk about Lagos used to be this and that are nothing but deceptive and disingenuous and I'll explain to you the reason why.



1. Fashola and Akpabio entered office the same year/The same time

2. Everything posted about Fashola in this thread was done by Fashola within his 8 years and nothing before him or belonging to the FG.

3. Fashola inherited meager resources in form of allocations and IGR while Akpabio with just 5 million people entered office with abundant oil money.

4. Lagos state's IGR that many of you make ignorance noise about amounts to little in the grand scheme of this.

20 billion/month IGR = 20 x 12 = N240 billion.


FG allocation is N10 billion monthly

N10 billion x 12 = N120

= N240 billion + 120 = N360 billion

So, the IGR you people make so much noise about is nothing when it comes to the actual money Lagos state operates with in for of budget.

N360 billion for 20 million people is chump change and Lagos state still have to borrow money to get up to it's N400+ billion yearly budgets.

Do your research or educate yourself about these states before making ill informed comments.


Akpabio on the other hand with just 5 million people budgets over N500 billion yearly IGR or no IGR.



Bottomline, Akpabio has more money than Lagos state and Akwa Ibom is many times richer than Lagos state.


Now about the projects you listed for Akpabio.


This thread is about completed and commissioned projects and to my knowledge apart from the roads and flyover, Akpabio completed only only 3 projects in his 8 years in office and they are the 1 library, 1 football field and 1 cinema. Feel free to prove me wrong.


I gave you folks the opportunity to post his completed projects, but you did not, obviously because there's non beyond the ones I posted.

Akpabio as the governor of the richest state in Nigeria can not fill more than half a page on NL with his completed and commissioned projects.


..but I can fill more than NL pages with Fashola's projects. That's a fact...


Let's get our facts straight and just kill that IGR noise because it's nothing and Akpabio still has more budget money passed every year than Fashola....
