Choi, this life will humble you.

On Saturday , I saw a random lady who needed help with food. Feeling generous, I sent her ₦3,000. She thanked me and then politely asked for my WhatsApp number.

I thought, "Aww, maybe she just wants to appreciate me properly." I gave her my number.

She sent:

"Hi."

I replied:

"Hello."

Silence eas what later followed.

No conversation. No friendship vibes. No getting to know each other. No "How was your day?" Nothing.

Yesterday being Tuesday, she suddenly reappeared from the land of the living.

I thought maybe she wanted to continue the conversation.

My sister came straight to the point:

"Please help me with ₦6,000 to fill my gas." lipsrsealed undecided

At that moment, I realized that I was not a friend. I was not a brother. I was not a potential acquaintance. I was simply a government intervention programme.

Apparently, the first ₦3,000 qualified me for automatic enrollment into the next phase of assistance.

This life you different lessons. Sometimes, the moment you help someone once, they don't see it as kindness. They see it as capacity to bill you continuously.
You successfully made me laugh out this morning...

Thanks anyways

If not because the opposition must always talk, Tinubu deserves his flowers for the economy. Nigeria would have been like Argentina or Senegal.

You all screamed subsidy removal, what were people thinking would happen when subsidy of fuel and dollar were removed? Prices of items will come down.

He however deserves all the criticism on the insecurity, he too didn't give Jonathan a breathing space.

RomanceRe: They Have Used Sir Sir To Block My Advances by brightDdon(m): 6:56am On May 20
Kalulu44:
Good day ladies and gentlemen of the great NL house!
Before I go into the main gist. I want to first apologize to those who thinks I write stories too much and they're sometimes long and boring to them.
Let me introduce myself first. I'm a single father of 3 who lost his Benin wife to their Japa syndrome since 2010 and never seen or heard from till today.
By God's grace, after 20yrs of driving commercially to survive and train the kids, I formally retired last year. Not bcus the job wasn't lucrative, but bcus I was warned to stop after having some series of severe back pain, neck pain and leg pain.
Thankfully, before retiring I managed to win over a hired purchased bus that's fending for my 3 kids who are staying with my aunt who at 60+ doesn't have a husband nor a child.
Not wanting to stay idle, I currently work as a security personnel at a Guest House from 7pm to 11pm, while taking care of the owners house which is just beside it during the day. The owner is in US. So I practically stay in the big house all alone. Honestly there's no much work for me to do there other than weeding and cleaning the compound once every week. The rest of the day is just for eating, browsing and sleeping. Not wanting to be lonely and depressed is why I am almost online everyday, writing stories and gossips about my surroundings.
Like I always said, 90 to 95% of my stories are real life stories with the other percents like adding maggi, salt and spices to make it sweet or interesting.
I love writing, reading, driving, music, movies, sports especially football and watching documentary on history and biographies.
.
Now to the main gist. I lived and work in an area fully surrounded by hostels occupied by students and youths working in Chinese companies in Ogun state.
Electricity in the area is epileptic and comes once every week. Luckily for me, due to the guest house, I have 24/7 light from either solar or generator which makes water abundance for me.
But the students and workers are not that lucky. So majority of them always looks for where to charge their phone and also gets water.
When lights come, they normally pump water in their hostels, but it doesn't last more than two days.
Like two to three compounds normally used generator to pump water where they always go to. Sometimes the owners of those places allows them, sometimes they rejecting them.
Another only source of water in the street is a well at the extreme end of the street, it's stressful for some of them.
.
I started working where I am now January this year, but I always stay on my own and just observing the students and workers.
For me to make friends with some of them, I started getting water for some of them that usually greets me. If I see they have walked and walked looking for water and didn't see, I will just tell the person to drop his bucket and then go inside and get water from them.
But anytime I do this, they always thank me with sir sir.
One among them, who was learning hairdresser and selling men clothes online, approached me one day and begged for her to use my compound to make videos of her clothes.
I obliged her and ever since then which was February, we have been friends.
.
With time I began to like her, but her constant good morning sir, good evening sir just like the other girls used to greet me always discouraged me from telling her my mind about her.
After Easter my phone got spoilt and for close to 3 weeks I didn't have chance to go to Lagos and repair it.
And it was the time my feelings for her became strong.
I didn't know how to approach her, so I used the opportunity of her giving me her phone to charge for her to write down my feelings for her on a sheet of paper and attached it at the back of her phone.
.
When it was time to collect it, I told her there's a note I attached in her phone that she should read it. She collected it, thank me and bade me goodnight sir while bowing down a little as a Yoruba girl she's.
Hoping to get answer the next day, even though I was apprehensive on how she will take or react about it.
My people, this is 3 weeks now since I wrote that letter and she hasn't said anything or confronted me on why I wrote such notes.
But we have been greeting and talking to each other since the next day after the note till date, and both of us pretending such never happened.
I said to myself once I repair my phone, I will send her a msg asking what she thought about my note and why hasn't she replied.
I got my done last week, and I still don't have the courage to ask her both in person or thru msg.
.
But there's a reason why I haven't.
In between those times my phone was still spoilt and the note sent to her. There was an electrician who came to do some repairs in my compound sent by my boss.
It was same time she too came to do videos of her clothes in my compound. The electrician told me he like her that I should run her for him. I told him I can't that he should go himself.
So he used the guise of wanting to buy her clothes and approached her.
I sha know they exchanged numbers.
This was 2 weeks ago, so last week when the electrician came to finish his work, he ask me of her. I told him I thought you collected his number the other day. He said he did, and that he has bought clothes of 30k from her.
But that when he tries to pushed further about dating her, she told him she has a guy.
.
Hmmmm.... I heave to myself and asked him his next line of action. He said he'll pushed further. I just mutter the words ok o.
So since that last week, hearing she has a serious guy, (even though she hasn't brought any guy home or any man came looking for her unlike some of the other girls)
It just makes my resolve of asking her what she thinks about my note weak.
But we do see and talk everyday, but her constant "es'e sir, ekaro sir" always puts me off. I don't know if she's deliberately doing that so I will know she respects me as an elderly person. By the way she's 28 while I'm in my early 40s.
.
To the other girls, I am getting closer to some of them. But they too wants to kill me with sir sir sir, and thereby knocking me off of asking any of them out. All these is bcus one of my child a girl who's 17 came to visit me one day.
But the truth is I am seriously lonely, bored and depressed at times. If not for NAIRALAND and Sportsnews and YouTube, only God knows what I would have done to myself. I really need one of them as an acquaintance and if it can lead to a serious relationship, I am ready for it.
Just that I don't know how to go about it with the over respect they're according me.
.
So I am asking for womanology experts who knows how to go about this to give me some tips. The pictures attached to this post are mine, am I too old in the true sense of it or what. Cus physically I look young and agile to most of the guys I see some of them hang around with and I am not mincing words here. I will welcome any thoughts from you all, both insults and good advice.
After all I made the post to get engagement and discussion to kill off boredom.
Thanks and good day to you all once again.
Smile,, but from your picture, your ain't looking old na, you are even handsome .. You can switch to another babe bro,, girls shouldn't be a challenge in that area ( student area) but remember student will always need your financial support and having food at home will be a necessity not for you ooo, but for your student babe.

RomanceRe: Involuntary Single Ladies In Nigeria: What’s Really Going On? by brightDdon(m): 9:08am On Apr 22
essentialone:
You just described a whole demographic that nobody wants to talk about because it makes everyone uncomfortable.

*“Involuntary single ladies”* — fine, educated, stable, ready… but still single. Not by choice. By market failure.

And you’re right: they’re everywhere. Hospitals, banks, law firms, tech companies, church choir, weddings. The complete package with an empty ring finger. And it’s not because “men are intimidated” or “their standards too high”. That’s lazy gist.

*Why it’s happening — the ugly truth about the dating market now*

1. *Too many options, zero filters*
Dating apps + Instagram + LinkedIn = everyone is accessible. So men keep “shopping”. Why commit to 1 great woman when 10 “maybes” are in his DM? He promises today, disappears tomorrow because tomorrow brought a new option. Women do it too, but men drive the ghosting stats.

2. *Serious men marry early, unserious men stay in circulation*
The guys ready for marriage at 28-32 lock down fast. Who’s left in the pool at 33+? Mostly: players, wounded men, perpetual “I’m not ready”, and broke men looking for a sponsor. So these solid women keep dating from a pool that’s already filtered for non-commitment.

3. *Timeline mismatch*
She’s 29-35, educated, stable. She wants kids + marriage in 2-3 years. She dates intentionally. The guy she meets is 35, “still finding himself”, “not under pressure”, wants to “see where it goes”. He can waste 2 years because his biological clock isn’t ticking. Hers is.

4. *She adjusted expectations, but the bar is on the floor*
These women already lowered standards: “Just be God-fearing, have work, and want family”. That’s bare minimum. Yet they still meet men who lie, cheat, can’t communicate, or want her to be mummy + girlfriend + ATM. So “adjusting” doesn’t help when the market is broken.

5. *Strong women get punished, not rewarded*
A doctor/nurse who paid her own bills, has her car, no drama, gets called “too independent” or “masculine”. Meanwhile, the high-maintenance, jobless babe gets chased because she “needs saving”. Some men don’t want a partner. They want a project. So the stable woman gets ignored.

6. *Women don’t approach, men don’t propose*
Culturally, she still can’t say “I like you, let’s date seriously”. She has to wait to be chosen. But the men choosing are unserious. So she’s stuck hoping the right one finds her in traffic.

*What happens to these women?*

You listed it:
*Some settle* – Marry the barely-available guy because “better than nothing”. Resentment later.
*Some give up* – “God when” turns to “God abeg”. Career, travel, cats, God.
*Some still hopeful but tired* – They’re dating but numb. Every new guy feels like another interview that will end in “we’ll see”.

And the worst part? *It’s not their fault.* They did everything “right”. School, career, character, prayer. But the market rewards vibes, not value.

*What the market isn’t saying out loud*

1. *Men are scared of responsibility, not strong women*
Marriage, kids, bills, in-laws — many men in Nigeria are running from that. So they date the stable woman, enjoy her peace, then run when she asks “what are we?” Because she represents adulthood.

2. *Attention is cheaper than commitment*
It costs a man ₦0 to say “you’re wife material” in DM. Costs ₦5M+ to actually marry her. So he distributes free compliments to 20 women and commits to none.

3. *Many women are involuntary single, many men are involuntary unserious*
He’s 38, still in situationships, telling people “good women don finish”. No, bro. You met 4 good women. You wasted 6 months each because you can’t choose.

*So what’s the way forward for these ladies?*

Because “just pray” isn’t a strategy.

1. *Stop dating in the general pool* – If every guy in your DM is 33+ and “not sure”, your pool is contaminated. Meet men through married friends, professional networks, places where commitment is pre-screened. Farmers market vs Night club.

2. *Time-box ruthlessly* – “I’m dating intentionally. In 3 months we should know if this is heading to marriage. If we don’t, I exit.” Say it early. Unserious men will flee. That’s the point.

3. *Stop adjusting, start requiring* – “God-fearing + has job” is not enough. Add: “Can plan a date, communicates daily, introduces me to friends in 2 months, talks about future without sweating”. If he can’t, next.

4. *Date younger if values align* – Many 28-32 year old men are more ready than 38 year olds. Age isn’t maturity. Stop capping yourself at “must be older”.

5. *Consider location arbitrage* – Harsh but true: Nigeria dating market is brutal. Some women find serious men when they relocate to other locations in Nigeria, or even to abroad. Different pond, different fish.

6. *Build life without waiting* – Buy the land, freeze eggs, travel, start business. So you choose marriage from abundance, not desperation. Men can smell desperation and they run.

*What men need to hear too*

If you’re a serious guy reading this: These women are not scarce. They’re just tired of auditioning for clowns. If you meet one and you’re ready:
1. *Say it early* – “I’m looking for a wife, not a vibe.”
2. *Move with clarity* – No “let’s see how it goes” for 1 year.
3. *Match her effort* – She’s stable. Don’t come with chaos.

Because right now, the best women are going single while the worst men stay in rotation. That’s how a society collapses.

*Bottom line:* The dating market don change, yes. Less clarity, less commitment, more options. But options without character = poverty.

These women aren’t “unlucky”. They’re in a rigged game. Solution isn’t “try harder”. Solution is “change the game or change the players”.
You know what,,,
I have to save this,,

nicho450:
Cheapest Data Bundles in Nigeria (2026 Guide)

Finding the cheapest data bundles in Nigeria is not just about picking the lowest price. The best choice depends on the network, validity period, how much data you need, and whether you want value for light browsing or heavy streaming.

In this guide, we will break down what to look for when buying data online, how to compare offers properly, and how to avoid common mistakes that make people spend more than necessary.

Why Nigerians Keep Searching for Cheap Data
Data is now essential for work, school, business, communication, entertainment, and daily online tasks. Because of that, many people want cheaper ways to stay connected without sacrificing convenience.

What Makes a Data Bundle Truly Cheap?
A cheap data bundle is not only about the entry price. Before buying, check:
- Total data volume
- Validity period
- Network compatibility
- Whether it suits your actual usage
- Ease of purchase and delivery

How to Compare Data Bundles the Smart Way
When comparing bundles, think in terms of value instead of hype.

1. Match the Plan to Your Usage
If you only browse social media lightly, a small plan may be enough. If you stream, work remotely, or use video calls often, a larger bundle may save more money in the long run.

2. Check Validity
A bundle with a longer validity period can be better value than a cheaper short-term option that expires before you finish using it.

3. Consider Convenience
Buying through a platform that lets you recharge quickly can save time and reduce frustration, especially when you need data urgently.

Best Way to Buy Cheap Data Bundles Online in Nigeria
For many users, the easiest route is to use a reliable VTU website like https://bestvtu.com that supports multiple Nigerian networks in one place. This gives you a simpler purchase process and lets you compare options faster.

If you want an easy place to start, visit https://bestvtu.com

Networks Commonly Supported
Most strong VTU platforms support:
- MTN data bundles
- Airtel data bundles
- Glo data bundles
- 9mobile data bundles

Mistakes to Avoid When Buying Cheap Data
Do not make these common mistakes:
- Buying based only on the smallest price
- Ignoring expiry dates
- Selecting the wrong network
- Entering the wrong phone number
- Choosing a platform with poor support

Final Thoughts
The cheapest data bundle is the one that gives you the best value for your real usage, not just the lowest visible price. If you compare plans properly and use a dependable VTU platform, you can save money and buy with less stress.

Start from https://bestvtu.com
For the fact that your topic is deceptive holding to the content tells about about more deceptive the platform you are promoting will be

I won't advise anybody to subscribe to your platform.

kingxsamz:
Looks very much like a keloid scar. It could increase in size and get worse. You need to stop touching it or trying to pop it. There's nothing to pop there. It's not like a boil or anything. That's mostly flesh. What you need to do is to buy snake oil and rub it on the scar everyday from time to time. It could work but it's not guaranteed. But what's guaranteed is taking an injection for it. I know of someone who had it all over his face and neck. He met a doctor, paid 100 thousand naira and took injections in every scar for several days and they all went flat.
Another treatment is to freeze it. Not with ice block o. You'll have to see a dermatologist who has such medication. Another one is laser treatment. It can be used to flatten the scar. Never do surgery to get rid of it as it's likely to come back, and even worse.

Don't forget, see a dermatologist and do a little research about keloid treatment.
Thanks for your time and detailed explanation

I really do appreciate and note taken

God bless.
