OVA200: It is a civilized world already, you order for the phone then what stop you from ordering for the spare part if needs arises. Me and my friend bought oukitel u20 plus this time last year mine got stolen but his fell and have a bad screen he gentle order for the screen and give it to an engineer to fix it and the phone is working 100% as I am typing this. If you order a phone online you can also order for anything about the phone (even pouch, screen protector are allowed too) its even cheaper self because that my friend order it for not up to 1K then, what about difficult to find spare part of common phone in Nigeria too like Gionee, Xiaomi, oneplus, google pixel, asus, hauwei etc should people stop buying them because of scarce spare part? Its now easy bro you need any phone spare part order it simple. Well said bro. But then, it is a civilized world does not mean every one is civilized. Is this phone only available online? Some people see online purchase as a waste of time. Some others see buying of ordinary pouches and battery online which shipping fee will be inclusive is a waste of money. |

It will get the attention it deserves when they bring the spare parts down here to Nigeria. How much is it? |

Food › Why Is Cooking Difficult "A Times"? - Brightrivers by BRIGHTRIVERS(op): 5:48pm On Feb 07, 2018 |
Why is cooking so difficult a times?
After 2hours of cooking, time to serve and you suddenly realize salt was in excess. Why? What instrument measures salt?
After turning garri with all your muscles you will still see the stones David used to kill Goliath all hiding in one corner, waiting to surprise you. Why?
OK, now you decide to cook vegetable soup and when done, you can't find the vegetable in the vegetable soup. Everything Red and Yellow. Why please?
Nana Pams argued cooking is a skill that turned talent. What's your take? Is cooking a skill or a talent? |

chijiblaze: That would simply be a matter of stating the obvious fact, whereas denying being Igbo would be grandiose self-delusion tantamount to burying your head in the sand. unnecessary Show of grammar is all I see in this comment. If we don't wish to state the obvious would you kill all Riverians? look here my brother, my grand father speaks Etche fluently but can't understand igbo language. Does that suggest anything to you? There's both a language and geographical difference between the both,no matter how little and time has made us different, even character-wise. Brother If you don't like that fact I'm in my house, you can come and kill me. |

Nairaland General › How This Goat Embarrassed Me In Front Of Martha, My Village Crush by BRIGHTRIVERS(op): 7:45pm On Dec 25, 2017*. Modified: 8:48pm On Dec 25, 2017 |
Chinedu! Grandpa called. Bright was difficult to pronounce. Take this goat and get it killed, this he ordered in Etche language. The goat was staring at me in pity. it was a huge goat the Yorubas would call Obuko and the Igbos would call Oke nkpi. It was looking ultra scary with a very strong odour. If there's anything like War goat, this is the perfect one for the military,it looked very gallant. How would I start? I was scared of the goat and the goat was scared of what it would do to me if I come any closer. From the blue, I saw Martha, the village girl I planned to bombard with the 2 pages of love poems i earlier crammed. She looked very pretty for a village girl without make up. The sight of Martha catalyzed an adrenaline rush in me. And I went closer and gripped the goat by its rope and tried tilting it down. Unfortunately, the goat tilted me down. I got up and saw Martha by my side, offering a helping hand, which I declined trying to act a man. I had underrated the goat because of the Martha catalase. While I was sweating,i could tell this stubborn goat was laughing, bleatingly.
I went for the second try, this time with Martha and grandma watching me with the face you'd give to a spoilt city brat scared of cockroach. I was barely on my feet when this inhuman goat came for the kill... Up until now all I could remember was shouting Mma ehh! Mma eh!!

juju2008: Don't mind those people. My mum's home town in Ngor-Okpala Imo has boundaries with etche and ikwerre in Rivers. The inhabitants of the towns speak similar dialect as my mum's and yet they deny being Igbo. I am from Etche. I am not denying the language similarities but what will you gain if I say I am Igbo? |
Culture › Re: The "Rumus" Of Rivers State- Denying Your Igbo Identity. by BRIGHTRIVERS(m): 2:49pm On Dec 21, 2017 |
jmoore: It doesn't take a genius to know something went wrong when you arrive Rivers state. A notice of names of places such as Rumueme, Rumuola, Rumuokwuta, Rumuokoro etc keeps you wondering why the prefix "R" was added to the words. Remove the 'R' and you will get the normal Igbo names like Umueme, Umuola, Umuokwuta, Umuokoro etc. What went wrong? Why the change of name? What must have triggered the "adulteration" of one's identity? Ikwerre is Igbo and the denial of their Igboness led to these changes after the civil war. But why stop there? There are more things they should do to deny their Igbo identity. They should change their names too. Okoro should be known as Rokoro, Amaechi should be known as Ramaechi, Ikechukwu should be known as Rikechukwu, Odili should be known as Rodili, Opara should be known as Ropara. What exactly is paining you? |
