EventsEphraim Julian’s Lavish Wedding Lights Up Lagos — Dangote, Elumelu, Flavour Atte by BRIGHTRIVERS(op):
Lagos was the center of attention yesterday as Ephraim Julian, EJ. the first son of luxury lifestyle mogul Julian Osula, tied the knot with his beautiful bride Ngozi, who happens to be the niece of billionaire businessman Tony Elumelu. The union of two powerful families drew an extraordinary guest list and has already been dubbed one of the most glamorous weddings of 2026.

The ceremony was a showcase of wealth, influence, and entertainment. Among the dignitaries spotted were Africa’s richest man Aliko Dangote, business titan Tony Elumelu music stars Charlie Boy Flavour and Shallipopi, nightlife impresario Cubana Chief Priest and several other celebrities, politicians, and captains of industry.

The venue itself was transformed into a palace of opulence — luxury cars lined the entrance, the décor featured crystal chandeliers and floral walls, while the reception hall glittered with gold accents. Guests were treated to a lavish feast of Nigerian and continental dishes, with champagne flowing endlessly.

Entertainment was top‑tier: Flavour serenaded the crowd with soulful live performances, Shallipopi electrified the younger audience with his street‑wise hits, and Cubana Chief Priest kept the vibes alive, ensuring the dance floor never went empty.

Clips circulating online show the bride’s stunning gown, EJ’s regal entrance, and the star‑studded guest list that had fans buzzing. Many are saying this wedding has officially raised the bar for society events in Lagos, while others argue it’s a clear display of how Nigeria’s elite blend business, culture, and entertainment.

What do you think — is this the most star‑studded wedding Nigeria has seen in recent years, or just another show of wealth and influence?

BusinessMoney, And Its Multiplicating Power- How Do I Multiply My 50k? by BRIGHTRIVERS(op): 6:53pm On Jun 28, 2024
It is much more difficult to go from 1k to 100k than to go from 100k to a million naira.
Money, often described as the lifeblood of economic activity, possesses the powerful ability to multiply, a concept central to wealth creation and financial growth. Understanding and leveraging this multiplication power can lead to significant financial benefits and security.
One of the Basics of Money Multiplication is Compound Interest

Compound interest is the interest on a loan or deposit calculated based on both the initial principal and the accumulated interest from previous periods. This effect can turn small, regular investments into substantial amounts over time.
For example, investing $1,000 at an annual interest rate of 5% will grow to $1,628.89 in 10 years due to compounding.

Now this post is for those confused as to how to go from 10k to a much larger sum in the Nigerian system and from 100k to a million. Let the business men and women come in and advice us. We listening.

I doubt if his budget is upto $1,000 Lolz...... You know some people have wild imaginations. But often they can't afford these projects. I started of as a programmer. Spent 3 years in the field. I had to enrol in cyber security courses separately after about $2,500 was stolen from a site I built. I was the number one suspect. I didn't know shit about botnet. I'm now two years into the field of cyber security as a whitehat hacker.

Acquiring the discipline is not cheap or easy. You will learn about Brute Force, Different malware detection tools, code obfuscation, how to make a malware bypass any anti-virus.
Bot crawlers. A lot of automation tools, antibots, etc.

Cyber security expands everyday. Newbies use the tools. Experts create them. And new crack tools are developed every day. In every two weeks I learn a new cyber security course. To keep up with the changes, you remain a student continually.

A simple crypto wallet drainer is built for $3,500 dollars. Most wannabes on nairaland come here looking to pay programmers #20k for a website project. The ones who can afford #200k actually behave like they are about to give you the entire world for a single project.

Lolz.

The highly skilled are not cheap.
Lol I can relate! The highest a Nigerian has paid me is 200k. Clients from outside the cuntry pay way better because they understand the technicalities behind our job.

A look at the Op's project for instance. Its a very complicated task but I wouldnt be surprised at the pricing.

Anambra1stSonTV:
Soludo Breaks Decades-Long Jinx, Commissions 26km Amansea-Ebenebe-Ugbenu-Ugbene-Awba Ofemili Road

After decades of abandonment and unfulfilled promises by successive administrations in the state, the people of Amansea, Ebenebe, Ugbenu, Ugbene, and Awba Ofemili communities can now have reasons to smile following the commissioning of the road crisscrossing the communities.

Governor Chukwuma Soludo commissioned the 26 Kilometer road which had been publicised, awarded and re-awarded by previous administrations many times without any tangible action.

Despite their contribution to the development of the state, the rural communities have remained obscure in every ramification.

With the completion and marking of the road, it now takes less than 25 minutes to drive from Awba-Ofemili to Awka, the state capital, a journey that took hours by road amidst its pitiable condition.

Governor Soludo stressed that he contested election because of Awka North and the component communities, reiterating that his government stands for the poorest of the poor, because a system is as strong as its weakest link.

The Governor described Awba-Ofemili as the major food basket of the nation, assuring that the lingering boundary issue between Awba-Ofemili and a community in Enugu State will be solved once and for all.

The Commissioner for Works, Engr Ifeanyi Okoma recalled that the road was awarded in September, 5, 2022 and completed within the record time, even though it took difficult engineering because of its terrain.

The contractors thanked the Governor for the support which is why they completed the road in record time and expressed willingness to continue partnering with the state government to offer more solutions to the challenges facing Ndị Anambra.

They asked benefitting communities to avoid blocking the drainages to ensure the road's durability.

The Transition Committee Chairman of Awka North Local Government Area, Mr. Thankgod Anagor lauded the Governor for remembering them, because a journey that used to take hours, now takes about few minutes.

The Commissioner for Homeland Affairs, Chief Chikodi Anara stated that Governor Soludo brought Anambra to Awba-Ofemili and replicating same in other communities across the state, while the Member representing Awka North at the State House of Assembly, Hon. John-Mark Ikwunne said that successive administrations in the state politicized the road from time immemorial, but has been actualized by the present government to the glory of God.

Some people who spoke at the different communities including the President General of Amansea, Mr Chris Ughanze, President General of Ugbenu, Samson Ojoh, President General of Awba-Ofemili, Chief Emenike Nwakeze, Secretary, Post Primary Schools Service Commission, PPSSC, Lady Benedine Anagor and Chief Dennis Ngene said the road is promise made and promise kept by the Governor.

Deputy Governor, Dr. Onyekachukwu Ibezim, Secretary to the State Government, Professor Solo Chukwulobelu, Chief of Staff to the Governor, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, Principal Secretary to the Governor, Barr. Joachin Anaeto, President General of Anambra State Association of Town Unions, Barr. Titus Akpudo, Traditional Rulers, among others, attended the event.

At the various locations visited, members of the communities trouped out en masse to receive the Governor and his entourage.

Ifite nko? Because it affects students the most, they dont care. Ifite is the only community with a federal university that has no road. Anambra is backwards they should learn from Rivers state.
