Nevada police has confirmed woman who went to school playground with deadly weapon has been arrested.

On Tuesday, Kisstal Killough, 33, was allegedly carrying a deadly hand weapon screaming to kill everyone. Kisstal attempted climbing a chain linked fence to invade Tom Williams Elementary School playground in North Las Vegas.

The spokes person of the North Las Vegas Police Department revealed on the incidence in which Killough was screaming threat to murder everyone with a hand tool, there were 200 children on the playground.

Killough was still on the fence when police arrived. She never made it inside the school.

When officers reportedly arrived one minute later, Killough jumped off the fence, dropped the pickaxe and surrendered peacefully.

Killough, according to police, was mentally impaired during the incident — possibly under the influence of drugs.

Kristie Cole, School principal in a letter forwarded to parents disclosed that Killough was reported to police after staffs and students noticed her, hence, “Did not harm anyone or cause any damage to the school”

She was taken into custody on charges o assault with a deadly weapon, trespass, nuisance and loitering on school property.

The letter sent to the parents by the principal reads;

[b]The safety of our students is the number one priority at Tom Williams Elementary School. As always, we want to keep you informed of important issues happening within our school community.

We want to let you know that earlier today, an adult, not associated with our school, attempted to climb a fence to trespass on our campus. Staff and students noticed the woman and law enforcement was called.

Officers from the North Las Vegas Police Department responded immediately and took the woman into custody before she could access the playground area. The woman did not harm anyone or cause any damage to the school.

I would like to thank the North Las Vegas Police Department for their amazing response time to our call, and I would also like to thank our staff and students for being alert and taking the appropriate actions.

This incident serves as an important opportunity to remind our parents and students of safe practices and to look out for each other. If you or your child notices something suspicious or a person on campus who does not have a CCSD ID, please notify one of our staff members immediately.[/b]

-Rivers East Senatorial District has endorsed Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike for a second term on the strength of his performance.

Thousands of people from the eight Local Government Areas of the Rivers East Senatorial District trooped to the General Yakubu Gowon Stadium in Port Harcourt on Tuesday where they sang the praises of Governor Wike.

Member of the House of Representatives Representing Obio/Akpor Federal Constituency, Hon Kingsley Chinda moved the motion for the endorsement of Governor Wike by the district. The motion was seconded by Majority Whip of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt Hon Evans Bipi.

Former Rivers State Governor, Sir Celestine Omehia said that Governor Wike has developed the district alongside other parts of the state, hence the decision to support his re-election.

Senator George Sekibo said that the Senatorial District is happy because the Rivers State Governor through his outstanding performance has become a national reference point on the delivery of projects and programmes.

Former President of Nigeria Bar Association, Chief Onueze Okocha (SAN) said that the entire Senatorial District is solidly behind Governor Wike.

Youth Representative, Oraye St Franklyn said Governor Wike has no option but to contest and further develop the state.

Former Minister of Transport, Dr Abiye Sekibo said that the Rivers East Senatorial District will work for the Rivers State Governor to complete his two terms.

Also speaking, Former Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Austin Opara said that the Rivers East Senatorial District will mobilise support for Governor Wike’s victory in 2019.

Responding, Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike assured the people of Rivers East that he will continue to work for the development of the state.

He said that his administration has executed projects in all the eight Local Government Areas of Rivers East Senatorial District. He said the projects have improved the living condition of the people. The governor assured that more projects will be delivered in the district.

The governor noted that the APC has not executed any project in Rivers East Senatorial District, even though the party controls the Federal Government.

He said: “We will not disappoint the people of this Senatorial District. We will not disappoint the people of Rivers State. We are committed to the rapid development of the state “.

Governor Wike said that he is rebuilding the infrastructural base of the state because the Amaechi administration sold state assets and squandered the funds.

The Governor noted that over N90billion that Former Governor Amaechi generated from sale of valued assets was misapplied for political purposes

He regretted that the APC Federal Government, lobbied for the Former Rivers State Governor to be cleared as Minister of the Federal Republic by the National Assembly , because they were afraid of blackmail as Rivers funds were used to bankroll the APC election.

Governor Wike charged the people of Rivers East Senatorial District to get their voters cards and ensure that PDP emerges victorious in 2019. He also stated that all Rivers people should remain vigilant as the APC will attempt using security agencies to rig in 2019.

He assured the people that he will make his position known to them after consulting the two other senatorial districts. Governor Wike thanked the people of Rivers East for their support and endorsement.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leaders from the South-South have resolved to work in unity to ensure the party forms the next Federal Government in 2019.

The South-South PDP leaders declared that the APC Federal Government has failed Nigeria, destroyed the economy, destabilised the nation’s security infrastructure and made the country to slide into unprecedented suffering.

Speaking during the PDP South-South Zonal Executive Council Meeting at the Banquet Hall, Government House, Port Harcourt , the PDP South-South Leaders declared that it is in the interest of the nation for APC to be shown the way out.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike stated that the PDP leaders will do everything possible to ensure that the party emerges victorious in 2019.

He said: “For us, what we want is free and fair elections for Nigerians to determine the future of the country. Nigerians are tired of the APC.

“Nigerians have seen that the so called social group that calls itself a Political party is a failure. The only political party in the country is PDP. APC took power by deceit, but they cannot govern”.

He urged PDP leaders to remain focused as they have a duty to salvage the country and set it on the path of growth.

National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus said that the country has collapsed, with the Presidential Villa in ruins, necessitating the solemn struggle to salvage the country in 2019.

He said: “This crisis is no longer a laughing matter. The country is coming to an end and we must rescue the nation”

The National Chairman said that PDP Governors are the only performing governors, while their APC counterparts have failed their respective states. He added that Ministers in the Buhari administration have failed to perform.

“Come 2019, Nigeria will be liberated from the hands of the APC. The APC has lost ground in all the six geo-political zones. We have to take one final step to sack the APC vengeance government”, Secondus said.

Bayelsa State Governor, Hon. Seriake Dickson called on the party leaders to support Prince Uche Secondus as he works towards a PDP victory in 2019.

Also speaking, Akwa Ibom Governor, Udom Emmanuel said that the South-South forms the foundation for the revival of the country.

Senate Minority Leader, Senator Godswill Akpabio assured that the National Assembly will work with other PDP leaders to ensure that the APC is sent packing in 2019.

Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike has called for immediate and comprehensive measures to resolve the unfortunate killing of Benue people by Fulani herdsmen.

The governor donated N200million to the Benue State Government for the purchase of relief materials and medicines for the displaced persons.

Governor Wike declared that it is no longer fashionable to trade blames while innocent people are killed by armed gangs.

Governor Wike spoke at the Peoples House in Makurdi on Wednesday after he led a delegation of Rivers Elders on a condolence visit to Benue State in honour of those killed by Fulani herdsmen earlier this year in the state.

Governor Wike and Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom led other leaders to offer prayers at the graveside of the 73 Benue people murdered in cold blood.

He said: “What has happened in Benue State has affected me. I am pained. Look at deaths everywhere. Nobody is free again.

“People don’t understand the magnitude of the injury inflicted on the people of Benue State. The country must sit down to proffer solutions to this menace “.

The governor said the conflict that affects a component state affects the entire country as it dislodges the security system.

“There is no way anybody can justify these killings. There is no justification whatsoever. The people of Benue State must rally round their governor at this point”, he said.

The governor added: “When you have a brother who has problems, you associate with him. Time has come when we must rise above party lines and tackle our problems “.

Governor Wike said as Christians, Rivers people respect the sanctity of human lives, hence the visit to Benue State.

He urged the Benue people to be vigilant at all times and employ techniques of self defence to protect themselves from unprovoked attacks.

At the graveside of the slain 73 persons, Senator George Sekibo offered prayers for the repose of their souls.

In his remarks , Benue State Governor, Dr Samuel Ortom said that 100,000 persons have been displaced by the invasion of Fulani herdsmen.

He said that Benue State is also battling with the influx of displaced persons from Cameroun.

The Benue State Governor regretted that rather than resolve the security challenges facing the state, the Inspector General of Police has become a spokesman for the Fulani herdsmen.

The killers of Benue people are known to the security agencies. He said the people of Benue State will continue to seek for justice until the leaders of Miyetti Cattle Breeders are arrested.

Ortom thanked the Government and people of Rivers State for the donation, saying that they have acted as true brothers .

The Benue State Governor added that the graveyard for the 73persons was set up as a memorial for those killed by Fulani herdsmen.

Following the security challenges that has enveloped Rivers State, the State Governor, Nyesom Wike, in a Press Statement yesterday unveiled names of suspected cultists across the various LGA’s within the State.

The governor alleged that, the cultist has vehemently refused to embrace the Amnesty program initiated by the State Government, thereby inflicting mayhem in the State.

Wike directed the security agencies to trap down and make the disclosed cultist face the law, as they have refused to accept amnesty. He promised a #20m bounty to anyone with useful informations that will lead to the arrest of any of cultists.

He said, “Based on reliable information by the security agencies, I hereby direct them to immediately arrest and prosecute the under-mentioned persons who have either reneged on the terms of the amnesty and or refused to embrace same by continuing with cultism, kidnapping and armed robbery in the state,

“The Rivers State Government will pay N20 million to any person who volunteers useful information that would lead to the arrest and prosecution of any of the afore-mentioned persons. Since 2015, we have been calling for tackling security issues devoid of political considerations in Rivers State in order to achieve maximum result”

The governor reaffirmed his zeal in tackling criminal related issues in the state, as his administration will not be bent in dealing with those who violates the criminal law.

“We reiterate our zero tolerance for all forms of criminality and reassure all residents of our determination to be tough on those who choose to violate our criminal laws and undermine peace and security in the state,

“To underscore the seriousness we attach to the fight against violent crime, we shall be amending the Anti-kidnapping law to prescribe the maximum sentence for engaging in cultism, robbery and kidnapping,
“Our decision to offer amnesty to all repentant cultists, militants and criminals was done in good faith and in the best interest of the state”.
Governor Wike accused the opposition leaders in the state for dissuading the cultist from participating in the amnesty program voluntarily initiated by the state.
“Regrettably, while the programme was on course, some opposition leaders in our state, unhappy with the successes recorded, dissuaded some armed militants and cultists from sincerely embracing the amnesty,’’

“This is the reason why we must thank the President for doing things differently and with the support of all, a different result has been achieved,

“For years the security situation in Omoku in particular, and Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area in general, has been most challenging because of the criminal activities of Don Wanny and his gang,’’ he said.

“We therefore wholeheartedly thank President Muhammadu Buhari for rising to the occasion and not politicking with the issue of security,’’ the governor said.

“We also commend the security agencies, particularly, the Nigerian Army and the Department of State Security, for swiftly rising to the challenge in the most professional manner,’’ Wike said.

“There is no doubt that this heroic success has proven what is possible when our security agencies are willing to discharge their constitutional duties with unadulterated commitment and professionalism,” he stressed.

The house of the late Onelga terrorist Chief Don Waney, has been levelled down today on the instruction of President Muhammadu Buhari.

This development followed after the joint armed forces of DSS & the Nigerian Army successfully gunned down the kidnap kingpin on his hide out at Enugu with other two gang members on Monday, 7th January 2018.

Today, some group of young men and woman identified as Choba Youth Movement, a youth body existing in Choba community launched a protest against the management of Dufil Premier Company Ltd (Indomie Company) as they prevent workers from gaining entrance. Dufil Premier Company Ltd is company sited at Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Choba, along NTA road, Portharcourt.

The protest which started on Sunday night 07-01-18, has created a great concern to commuters as the Choba route was partially blocked by protesters as they agitate against the company’s management for refusal to attend to their requests.

Reacting to the purpose of the agitation, Mr. Chimele, the Public Relation Officer of the Choba Youth Movement, stated comprehensively that the protest was birthed as a result of the abnormalities and inappropriate romance between the management of Dufil Premier and the traditional leaders of the community, which has posed a serious treat to the indegeneous workers of the company.

Mr Chimele, alleged that the promotion of any indigenous staff/worker is decided by the traditional ruler. He sited that this act has affected a handful of overdue workers who has worked for over 7years as promotion is given only to the loyalists and boys of the traditional ruler.

The P.R.O of the Choba Youth Movement, disclosed to BrookInfo that the company has failed in their corporate social responsibility as the dividends of having the company in her community is not felt.

He also revealed that, the company has failed in carrying out community projects, empowerment of the populace, skill acquisition, schorlarships as Dufil Premier mostly leverage on the youths and community members for massive production.

They drew an issue of “Contracting Staff” were a group of loyalists of the traditional ruler will be employed as a substansive company staff, with the power of recruiting labourers. He said that this mode of employment has affected the community youths as all salaries are paid to the “Contracting Staff” which he in return will remit peanuts as salary after some amount of money has been slashed from the original amount released by the company.

He also stated that, the traditional ruler has refused democracy to reign in the community as the elected leadership of “Choba Youth Movement” has been denied recognition, as the election was against his will to appoint his loyalists into office.

According to Mr. Chimele, all they are demanding is the audience of the management of Dufil Premier, so they could have a consensus agreement to prevent the reoccurrence of a protest like this.

The authorities of 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt wish to inform the peace loving people of Omoku in ONELGA in particular, Rivers State and indeed the entire good people of Niger Delta in general that the notorious cult leader, kidnap kingpin and mass murderer Don Waney is dead.

Recall that in the early hours of Monday 20th November 2017, troops of 6 Division Nigerian Army acting on credible information from some patriotic members of the public raided the evil Don Waney enclave in Omoku, ONELGA Rivers State where shocking discoveries of assorted weapons, dynamites, bags of suspected cannabis, full military camouflage uniforms, military boots, military communication radios, 10 human skulls and human bones were discovered. Additionally, in continuation of the operation on Tuesday 21st November 2017, the troops also exhumed decomposing bodies of some of his victims in his shrine in the glaring eyes of the media who were invited to witness first hand.

Perhaps not satisfied with the numerous lives of innocent citizens he took, Don Waney masterminded the despicable New Year day mayhem in Omoku in which he led his notorious gang of criminals to murder 23 peace loving citizens of Omoku when they were returning from Cross Over Service at about 1:30am on Monday 1st January 2018.

Intense surveillance activities on him and his gang by the Department of State Services (DSS) Rivers State Command revealed that after committing these atrocities he relocated to a neighbourhood within Enugu Town in Enugu State where he rented an apartment and started living among unsuspecting neighbours within the community.

From the relative safety of his newly-rented apartment, Don Waney was already perfecting plans to wrought another mayhem in Omoku in which he was to attack churches, schools, Army and Police locations and the RESIDENCES of the generality of the already traumatized people of Omoku. However, following his successful geo-location to his new Enugu neighbourhood hideout by the DSS Rivers State Command, a combined team of troops of 82 Division Nigerian Army Enugu and personnel of DSS Rivers State Command raided the hideout to arrest him and his other accomplices. Incidentally on sensing that the combine team were closing in on his residence, Don Waney, his Second- in- Command (Ikechukwu Adiele) and another gang member (Lucky Ode) attempted to escape through the back exit of the apartment and were shot down by the eagle eyed troops in the process. One of them died on the spot while the other 2 who sustained gun shot wounds eventually died while being evacuated for medical attention.

The remains of Don Waney and his cohorts were brought back to Port Harcourt Rivers State by the combine team and handed over to the Rivers State Police Command for further action.

To this end, the authorities of 6 Division Nigerian Army Port Harcourt wishes to use this opportunity to extend their condolences to the families of all the victims of the evil Don Waney and his gang. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) Was Sanctioned For Fielding An Ineligible Player In The Match Between Algeria And Nigeria On 10 November 2017 World Cup Qualifier.

Reasons Why Nigeria Was Sanctioned In The World Cup Qualifier

1. ABDULAHI SHEHU got yellow card right from first match (preliminary rounds) of the qualifiers against Swaziland in Swaziland.

2. When the draws for group stage were made the technical staff assumed the cards from preliminaries would not count going forward and didn’t take proper records. Indeed throughout the qualifying series Adullahi Shehu has never been counted as being on yellow even by the match documents such as when we played Cameroon Mikel, Moses and Balogun were all put on notice they are on a yellow and so there was even a meeting before the game how to make their yellow cards so as not to miss the decisive next match but Abdullahi Shehu was never in the mix…

3. Abdullahi got yellow card from the penultimate match against Zambia which is two years since the first match where he got the first Yellow (note we played the preliminary rounds against Swaziland in November 2015 under Sunder Oliseh and played the Zambia match in November 2017).

4. FIFA sent notice after the match against Zambia that Shehu is suspended for Algeria match but sent the email directly to the technical officer in charge, whom incidentally was hospitalized at that period with a serious heart problem so was not on emails and couldn’t have seen it.

5. On match day against Algeria neither the match Commissioner was aware nor the away team and ABDULAHI played the match without any protest or notice from either side.

6. Algerian never protested as they too are not aware but FIFA sent NFF a query to ask why the player played. NFF duly responded with proofs that the notice was sent to an email account of a technical staff that was Hospitalized with proofs. The FIFA disciplinary committee met and decided since previous emails has always been sent to same account and were taking so the notice is valid and sanctioned Nigeria..

Rt. Hon. The portal was launched on Friday in Lagos. It has been revealed that the portal will aslo serve a means of storing Curriculum Vitae (CV) of prospective employees.

The portal is a project by Mohammed Momoh, NYSC Lagos coordinator, the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) team and a group of corps members.

In his address, Suleiman Kazaure, the scheme’s director general, said the management thought it good to help corps members package themselves for employment in a competitive labour market like Nigeria.

“The portal we are launching will among other benefits, serve as a platform for corps members to get information on job vacancies and market themselves to prospective employers, serve as a large pool for employers searching for suitable candidates, and provide means of verification of credentials,” he said.

He said the scheme has been taking steps to empower corps members for entrepreneurship through SAED programmes and loans granted to corps members in partnership with the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Bank of Industry, which gives loans at single digit interest rates to interested parties.

Kazaure said the scheme is working on zonal integrated skills centres in the six geopolitical zones and the ones in Ekiti and Gombe are already at completion stage.

“Our job is basically about helping people to plan for their future and with this portal it makes everyone employable,” said Mabel George, vice president, business development West, Sigma Pensions.

“We are so excited that people can get employed and in turn have savings for their future. I see this as a wonderful initiative by the NYSC. We are here pledging our continuous support to this cause and anything that is going to help this country to become greater we always want to play a part of it.”

Lately, the #ENDSARS campaign has been all over the social media by those who feel the services of the security agency in the state are needed anymore. As it has been alleged that the SARS operatives are the major perpetrators of criminal activities in the state.

In reaction to this, another group in Rivers State this morning has gathered at the Polo Club to make a peaceful protest in support of the role and activities of SARS in the state. This move is a sign of their contentment and confidence in SARS.
