Indigenes of Ohokobe Mbaocha Ndume Ibeku in Umuahia North Local Government area of Abia state, staged a peaceful over the mysterious death of their daughter, Miss Happiness Emehara, who died in a popular hotel( Buri  ji) located along Okwuta Ibeku road.

They were pictured protesting with placards with different inscriptions,demanding explanation from the management of the hotel on what caused the death of their daughter.Until her death on 31st of May,late Happiness Emehara was a staff of the hotel.



Narrating how the incident happened, an eyewitness and also a female staff of the hotel who gave her name as Favour Owom said she went up to  bring her colleague her  toothpaste to use.On getting there, she saw late  happiness lying on the floor in between the bathroom and a room,holding a shower handle.

Miss Owom said on seeing happiness lying on the floor,she raised alarm which threw the attention of her colleagues.They rushed Happiness Emehara to a hospital where she was confirmed dead.

According to the story shared by Prisca,a trailer(truck) driver today rammed into a commercial cyclist aka Okada rider,killing him at the spot.The incident happened at Zik's round about also known as Borromeu round about in Onitsha.The driver was nearly killed by angry mob until Nigerian soldiers rescued him.

KAZAURE REWARDS CORPS MEMBERS FOR HONESTY

The Director-General, Brigadier General Sulaiman Kazaure, has given cash rewards to three Corps members for returning large sums of money found at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp in Benue State.

They are Eno Sunday Jesam (BN/17A/1536), Ezenwa Chidera (BN/17A/1718), and Timothy Deborah Elewechi (BN/17A/2233).

Presenting them to the Director-General during his visit to the camp, the NYSC State Coordinator, Mrs. Eno AwakEssien, said Jesam found and returned N27,500 to the Camp Management while Chidera returned N17,000 and Elewechi, N10,750.

In a quick reaction, Kazaure presented cash-filled envelopes to the trio as reward for their demonstration of honesty.

He was full of praises for them, while urging other Corps members to emulate them.

The Director-General said the gesture of the three Corps members had further strengthen his hope in Nigerian youth and the future of the country.

"I am sure this country will change during your time; so keep up the tempo.

"From what I have seen, we are surely going to have in you leaders that are corrupt-free," Kazaure added.

He enjoined the Corps members to be patriotic, and to always give their best wherever they found themselves.

The Director-General cautioned them against engagement in cyber crimes, dealings in illicit drugs and other vices.

Earlier, the NYSC State Coordinator Mrs. Eno AwakEssien, had said 2,241 Corps members were registered in the camp, and described them as disciplined.

She also praised the team spirit among camp officials, saying it contributed to the successes recorded in the camp.

AwakEssien appealed to the Director-General to approve the procurement of a 150 KVA power generator for the camp to help address the problem of epileptic supply from the national grid.

We are saddened and stunned to say the least by the reprehensible and dishonorable act of urban psychosis of the Nigerian Army yesterday being 27th May, 2017 at Murtala Mohammed Highway Calabar by Transcorp Hotel who were dispatched to maintain tranquility and order— but rather opened fire at the protesting students that were panned by the scorching sun in U. J. Esuene stadium without food or water during the Children’s Day programme.

We gathered authoritatively from various sources that the students were protesting over the alleged absconding of the money promised them by the governor of Cross River State, Prof. Ben Ayade by the Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mr. Asu Okang.

Three students were reported to have been shot with various degrees of injuries by the security operative. These are harmless citizens and students for goodness sake!

Having observed and assessed the issue critically, we hereby condemn in its totality this brutish and reckless act of Hobbessian radicalism by government’s agent and state security.

We wonder if the students don’t have the right to protest peacefully and gather to demand for what was promised them again. If this government cannot fulfill common monetary promise made on Children’s Day to students, how can they possibly fulfill their electoral promises?

This government has embarrassed the youths of Cross River State and Nigerian students on the whole. The youths and students in the state must deliberately get rid of this quintessential hoax-laced government by voting them out in the forthcoming local government elections and in the 2019 general elections.

We call on the government to institute a judicial panel of inquiry to enquire into the ugly incident and bring to book anyone found culpable.

God bless our youths. Great Nigerian students!

'SAVE A CHILD'S LIFE.

I know I don't usually do this but this case is very important to me because it involves life. I came back home from workout and met my mum with our fresh fish customer crying  I panicked and asked them what happened and my mum told me that the lady's daughter is pregnant. Hmmmm. I gave the lady some time to put herself together and asked her what happened. She said her 17 year old daughter is pregnant for a man of about 25 years old she got angry and sent the girl out of her house because she's poor and has nothing and no one to  help her , in her words " the day i no sell fish we no dey see food chop even the man wey give her belle sef  one day  him no even bring groundnut make she chop, naim make me pursue  her for house I no fit take care of her and the pickin, na just this morning somebody bring her come house dey beg me I no know wetin I go do" I asked her if she has registered the girl for antenatal and her response was  " we no get money to chop talk of to go hospital".
I want to appeal to my friends to please help this little girl. Yes she has made a mistake but let us not watch her die in the process. The mum said the mam responsible for the pregnancy admitted he got her pregnant but he has nothing doing. Violet is 5 months pregnant she needs medical attention. Her mum's phone is bad but she promised to bring a number for me to reach her I will post the number here when she brings it to me so you guys can reach out to them.  Save a life today please I am begging everybody. Please save a life.

Former President Goodluck Jonathan has wished the Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike more fruitful years ahead as she serves humanity.

The Former President Goodluck Jonathan on Wednesday joined Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Ezenwo Wike, Former Rivers State Governor, Sir Celestine Omehia,  Speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly, Hon Ikuinyi Ibani, the Gambian High Commissioner to Nigeria, Famara Goye , National Caretaker Committee Chairman of PDP, Senator Ahmed Makarfi, Senator Ben Obi, PDP Caretaker Committee Secretary, Chief of Staff to Rivers State Governor, Engr Chukwuemeka Woke, Former Speaker of Benue State House of Assembly, David Iorhemba ,Former Acting National Chairman of PDP, Prince Uche Secondus, Secretary to Rivers State Government, Hon Kenneth Kobani and the the Country President of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, Mrs Onime Aguma for a private  birthday celebration  in honour of  the Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike.

The event  held the private residence of the Rivers State Governor at the Government House, Port Harcourt.

Governor Wike  personally  led  the birthday song for his wife after the cutting of the cake.

Jonathan said: "Myself and my wife wish her a Happy Birthday.  I wish her more prosperous and rewarding times".

In her remarks, Wife of the Rivers State Governor, Justice Eberechi Suzzette Nyesom-Wike said she feels blessed by God .

She said: "Everyday I wake up, the first thing  I do is to give thanks to God  for another opportunity  to  serve him. I feel happy . I feel excited  because I know there are better years ahead.

"God's blessings have been unending".

She advised women  to be dutiful mothers and supportive wives who raise their children  to  be law abiding and development  oriented.

"My most important  message to mothers would be for mothers to be steadfast to raise Godly children.  Family is the sub- structure of every society. When things are right with the family, everything  takes  its place ".

Sometimes I wonder why some girls don't  have the fear of God in their life.The picture below is a true life story of what just happened at Murtala female Hostel at the University of Maiduguri today. As a lady gave birth to a female child.killed the child by herself  and was coercing the child into the female hostel toilet.My question is.If this lady was treated in this manner will she be alive today? Who will marry such a heartless woman as a wife?
