Thurhyb:
Visa delayed
Appointment time: 8:00am
Interview duration: 2 minutes
No funding
Deficit: 43,940
School: East Tennessee state university
Course: engineering tech

Vo: Good morning
Me: Good morning ma’am
Vo: I can see you are going to East Tennessee state university for your bachelors degree in
Engineering technology .
Me: yes ma’am
Vo: when did you finish your high school?
Me: 2019
Vo: What have you been doing since you finish your high school?
Me: after my high school,I attended a computer training institute and upon my completion I have been an instructor at my dad’s tutorial where I have been tutoring and preparing students for their final year exam which is the west africa examination
Vo: how do you want to be paying for your fees
Me: my uncle will be sponsoring my education
Vo: what does ur uncle do?
Me: he owns the Olawore engineering services limited and also ventured in Real Estate where he about 12 residential buildings, where 8 is located in lagos,2 in Abuja and one each in Ogun and osun states.
Vo: What will you be doing after your studies in the states?
Me: I will be coming back to Nigeria to take up the project engineer position at my dad’s company where I will be responsible for all technical and engineering aspects of their assigned projects
Vo: You are not eligible for this visa

Please gurus, what could have been the problem?
Any advice please

I am sorry for this, but ur story line indicated ur intent inclined towards immigrant visa as opposed to non-immigrant visa (F1). You claimed that ur uncle will be sponsoring ur education and after ur studies u will take over ur father's business. The same business that could not sponsor u. This is a red flag

Hello everyone! Please Is computer science same as computer and information sciences. I chose computer science as my major while applying to my university but I saw computer and information sciences in my I 20 and I'm confused about it because of my interview.
The information you have on your I-20 is correct.

I don't know if funding can influence EA or not. Just make sure you apply with your SEVIS FEE and write a convincing letter to back up your reason for emergency appointment.

@brotimi, is it true that having scholarship boost one's chances in emergency appointment approval?

I was just wondering, is Lagos offering emergency appointments? Also how do I apply for them. I checked the website but the link to the EA form is broken or do I just send an email? How did you go about it. Thanks!
I only took the risk then when I heard they were approving in Abuja. And it works. Please ensure to apply through the EA on ur CGI

I applied for emergency appointment this earlier October and was denied and my program is starting on 10th January so I guessed is because its more than the 60 days requirement for the application, so right now application for emergency appointment is no longer showing in my portal.
My question is , is it possible to apply for emergency appointment twice?
Will I still have the opportunity to apply once is within 60 days to the start of my program.
Or should I fill another DS-160 form then pay for another visa fee and re-apply?

Please advice me on way forward thanks in advance
this is information is not detailed enough
I also applied for EA and was approved on October 21 and my start date is scheduled for 5 January, 2023 which is more than 60days.
So let us know
1. the location Abuja or Lagos
2. when did you apply
3. Did u apply with your SEVISFEE receipt and I-20

Location is lagos
sorry not october i did apply on 23rd of september with SEVIS FEE reciept and my 1-20
Ok, I believe, my ogas here can guide you, you might likely need to pay a new MRV fee to use EA option again. Once you are denied that option is gone forever

Hi, Please I need a wise counsel, I am civil servant in one of south western states and already spent 2years out of 5years study leave for every workers in the state during my Master's degree program. Now I want to pursue PhD and the number of years I can apply for is 3years because of my initial 2years on study leave and PhD minimum for Student on Graduate Assistanship is 4years. My question is can I go to the interview with a letter of support from my employer with attached state government revenue receipt on study leave application or is it a must to go with study leave letter.

Has anyone received an email regarding the outcome of the interview?
