Thank you, I'll take the bus
em7even:

Here is what you should do.
Fly to Birmingham, if they ask you why your locator form is London and you land in Birmingham, tell them London flights were way too expensive. You can use a public bus. Nobody would stop you. You can even book the bus from here to make it easier. Buses go from the airport to your location so you can board a bus from the airport to London. Nobody would stop you. Go to London and isolate there. It is not a problem. My friend went from Heathrow to Birmingham in a bus and no one stopped her. I booked the bus for her sef.
Alternatively, you can cancel that your ticket and apply for a refund if you have another money to book another ticket before they refund you. The refund might take up to 12 weeks.

Thank you, I don't even plan on using Uber, I wanted to us the bus but I was told I can't use it
NemB:
You people using Uber have money ooo. Bros learn how to take bus and train so you can save plenty.
Use train. Ranges from £8 - £80 depending on what time you pick. Just Google train tickets for the journey and choose whichever one is suitable ( from atleast 2 hrs after you land incase you dey find luggage or immigration delay)

Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by BrunoMads: 9:14pm On Jan 08, 2022
Ahh thank you so much!
NemB:
Please guys
You can land in any airport in the UK and take a train/bus to the location you gave on your form. There is no problem with this.
I landed in Heathrow, took train to Birmingham New Street train station and Uber to where I isolated for 10days.
My friend came before me but she took a bus because she didn't have plenty load.
The Koko is: go from airport straight to your isolation address by whatever means and don't come out until your isolation ends. Cest Fini. Lets stop scaring eachother

Okay thank you so much. I will contact my agent to change it here.
Greenm5:
You cannot change your flight itinerary midway through your journey. The airline will not allow you and you will get into problem with immigrations. Do not try it. Make any changes now that you are still in Nigeria and you will have to call your airline or travel agent.

When you land in BMX, you can either use a coach (National Express, Mega bus etc) or train to get to London from BMX. I will discourage you from using this option as you may complicate things at BMX immigration entry point. It is not worth it. See my previous response to you.

Someone here said I can't use public transport
justwise:

Waste of money taking uber from Birmingham to London. Coach or train will cost a fraction of that.

justwise:

Have you booked a hotel yet?
Travel / Re: Uk Student Visa/tier 4 Pbs - Your Questions Answered Part 6 by BrunoMads: 4:07pm On Jan 08, 2022
Can I change it to London at Instanbul? Do you know how much it could cost? And if I have landed in Birmingham, how do I go to London if I can't use a public bus? And what about Immigration? Won't they ask me why my address in the locator form is London and I'm landing in Birmingham?
James4presh:
Have u book hotel yet? If no then u have to change you flight to London and fill another locator form.

Or when u land in Birmingham then u continue ur journey to London that the same day, you re not allow to use public bus.

Hi guys, I have a little misunderstanding, I booked my flight to Birmingham, now my uncle that lives in London is asking me to come over to his place to quarantine in London, since I don't have any place Birmingham yet, I initially planned I was going to stay in a hotel for fifteen days to quarantine and try get a place to live before he came into the picture. So he has sent my his address in London for locator form. Now my my problem is my flight is heading to Birmingham not London, I have a layover of seven hours in Instanbul, can I reroute from Birmingham to London at Instanbul? And at what cost if it is possible?
Or , if I can get to Birmingham and head to London by Bus will the immigration disturb me about the address I filled in my locator form being in London at Birmingham airport ? Will it raise any eyebrows?

The govt could have handled this better, that aside, the Policeman that shot live bullets into a crowd of unarmed civilians should be fished out and dealt with accordingly.
Now the question I ask is this, was there any effort to properly resettle the traders ? That Douglas road was becoming an eyesore due to the activities of the traders of Eke Ukwu, something had to be done about it urgently which Rochas did, albeit poorly handled.

Phones / DC Links Data Company Is A Fraud, Dont Do Any Business With Them by BrunoMads: 12:40pm On Sep 01, 2017
Two days ago I saw an online data seller that owns a data company known as DC links , I called him to buy data from them, after making the necessary payments he stopped picking my calls and stopped replying messages after confirming the payment.
This is to dissuade other people from falling a victim for their scam.
I have a picture of the guy, the account details and receipts of ATM transfer.
Stay woke , there are loads of scammersscammers here. Thanks

Is Abubakar Shekau dead?

Rumour of Shekau’s death spreads

In a related development, rumour of the death of the sect’s leader, Abubakar Shekau, and some of his commanders in the battle with troops in Konduga was spreading across Borno State, as of the time of filing this report.

Shekau’s reported death is contained in the account of some of the survivours of an attack of the sect on Mainok on Friday, as they said they were afraid of returning to the town “because we are told the insurgents are mad as a result of the killing of their leader, Abubakar Shekau, in Konduga.”

Reports reaching Sunday Tribune in Maiduguri, the state capital, indicated that over 300 people were killed when the insurgents attacked Mainok market on that Friday in what was believed to be a retaliation of the leader’s death as villagers were in the peak of trading on the market day.

A local, Modu Jakana, who narrowly escaped that attack, told Sunday Tribune that the insurgents came in from all angles, “shooting the people as if they were exchanging fire with the military. We don’t know how we escaped, but we were so lucky. They were so determined to kill everybody. I saw so many corpses while we were running for dear lives. At the main road, vehicles that were on top speed also killed so many people as there was confusion everywhere.

“This morning, some of our people told us that over 300 people, including some of the insurgents, were killed because we learnt that the military came and engaged them in a fierce fight.
