If the sun goes off for a week, that means you have a backup battery. It seems you do talk or reply to some comment out of context at times.. 1kwh 18650 with 1000w inverter and 1/2pcs of 200w panel will fly with 300k budget

Most times, I comment based on personal experience and journey.

I might be able to spend 1,500 naira at a sitting in an eatery today and not easily feel it, doesn't mean it's always been that way from the start. One thing about not coming from solver or gold spoon is as we grow, we learn ways to survive.

Moreover buying assembled 18650 batteries of 1kwh or even 1.5kwh would only cost him more and give aesthetics.

His/Her load doesn't need all those plenty spendings + gives room for future growth.

In fact e fit still carry Tv (not all TV) and laptop if OP is willing to put in the effort. I don't talk from Google or AI like some people say.

I am someone who has destroyed a brand new Asus laptop while trying to make it last 2-days on single charge AND then sef, na normal charger I dey use Ooo. I never even know wetin solar be those days.

Like I dey now, should the sun decide going on strike for 1-week, I can afford to run ma Fans at fun strength for the entire duration without need to recharge.

At end of the day, taste of the pudding is in the eating.

Look for nepa light to boost it ooo

I was about to comment before you redited it.. but i won't buy the idea of not using inverter even if na sachet inverter, and buying used lead acid na rubbish.. instead of used lead acid.. make he go buy assembled 18650 batteries of 1kwh. Wichat build and sell it on IG & tíktok. Even a lot of people build it if they sabi their onions nothing like explosion wey una see online.. cux am using the 18650 battery, a small setup of 30ah and inverter which i charge with nepa.. is just a backup cux I'm on band A and we do have light..

With such loads, you need not BUY inverter at all. Just buy any 12v battery of your choice NEW / USEd and (USEd 2pcs 300w or 1pcs New 625w) Solar panels and any good enough MPPT charge controller

As for being able to recharge your phone(s), there are charge controllers that come with USB ports or buy USB adaptors that run off 12v

Buying things this way gives room for future growth UNLIKE power tanks or whatEver they're called.

If you wanna take thing further, and shave off some costs, you could buy really USEd 12v 200AH leadAcid battery for about 50,000 naira.

Mind you, should you later wanna reSell it to scrap buyers, you could even recoup your money if not make few change on top

look for someone who can build an 18650 battery for u, 100ah with 500w/1000w inverter might not cost more than 200k or 220k.. then you get a pwm controller with a single 200w 18v panel..

Note: that single 200w 18v panel wont charge fast unless you up your budget then get 2-3pcs of panels

I don't know how to explain man, but if you get a rechargeable fan today that comes with Lead Acid battery you will understand. There's even a thread for it on nairaland. That's where I got my solution and purchased from Jumia at 8k

my own rechargeable fan. I built 18650 battery for it 12v 14ah and it's serving and last like forever. The 13v charger doesn't work with it so the builder gave a 12v charger which i charge the battery externally even as the battery is inside the fan compartment where the lead acid was designed

chief, yes it can still fly this way if truly he upgrade his budget to 500k... if he buy itel powertank 300k, he can still see panel for 100k then get 4mm wire 10yards. 2k per yard x 10 = 20k.. remaining 80k then he get breaker/change over if need be.. the rest he pay installer

I also switched to lithium for my rechargeable fan more than a year ago and it's still going strong. The lead acids including follow come and replacements couldn't do 3 months even.

Yes it's a battery chemistry.. if using an old 100ah battery aside for the fan isn't a good one for me.. I'd advise everyone to leave lead acid and move to lithium battery for their fan

Just so you know, issue with those FANs ain't entirely a battery chemistry issue BUT mostly battery capacity.

One of the sweet things of Lithium chemistry is more Amps per kg hence the size of a 12v 20AH leadAcid battery would always be physically much bigger than an equivalent for Lithium based battery.

Now add the required charge time between both chemistries and you quickly understand what's going on.

My neigbours would find your comment funny because He would swear the 3 fans they using could last over 4 days on no charge at all despite the fact their leadAcid battery (12v 200AH) is what He already wanted to sell off to aboki as scrap.

Me nko, I use similar though mine are still very much in good condition. Funny enough, I only suggested it and He blindly agreed I set it up for him.

But then again, for those who don't already use leadAcid battery, and not using Solar, or require much mobility, Lithium battery remains their best bet ELSE just go buy any WEAK leadAcid battery of at least 100AH and be done with it

let them build 18650 lithium battery with BMS for you, that's what am enjoying.

My fan at medium speed sef, it used 11hours and it still didn't off.. the day i use high speed for 2days, ọmọ i get catarrh oo even my wife get catarrh the 5th day...

are you using a century fan too. For my own setup the guy that build for me, did 12v 14ah for me . I think he collected 25k or more. I don forget sha..

let's be real no breaker is protecting anything from a lightening strick.. The power surge from the lightening will easily bypass the breaker and continue on its journey. The best protection is to get a quality lightening catcher or just physically disconnect the PV wirer from the CCor inverter. No let anybody whine you.

which one is lightning catcher, how do one disconnect the wire from the controller if not at home.. that can't work

This is my second ODU, and I enjoyed using the first one so much that I decided to get another. 😄

Since they’re currently on promo (from ₦40,000 down to ₦25,000), I figured it made more sense to use my ₦25k to buy another ODU instead of paying for another subscription.

One thing I noticed, though, is that Airtel seems to have improved the ZLT network. On my first ODU, Band 7 always gave me the best performance. But on this new one, I couldn’t get more than 7 Mbps download speed at first.

Out of curiosity, I enabled all the available bands, and boom! 🚀 My download speed jumped to a minimum of 47 Mbps. That’s a massive improvement.

Has anyone else noticed this on the newer Airtel ODUs?

I took a small magnet or in my own case i took a common earpiece (most earpiece generally have small magnet inside) to the market, i simply stick the magnet to the body(and the base too) of the stainless steel pot and it STICKS or say they attracts each other, That’s when i know it will work with induction cooker because there are fake stainless steel pot out there that don’t stick, Kindly note that.

I'll look for a magnet to test the one I have at home
