Anuoluwap:where is China? Are Chinese people a better people in the first? Anything China product in Niger is fake, so don't be bother about their education. |
The news and the comments above is still better oooo...., What are we going to do about our brothers & sisters in Liberia? I wasn't happy since afternoon that I had heard the news about the President of Liberia asking for an international help for her citizen on this Ebola case. Nigeria & African leaders should rise up and do something, we can't count on this white dude all the time. Let's come up with a solution for Liberia oooo. |
One of the biggest supporters and kinsman of President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan, Alhaji Mujahid Dokubo-Asari, has declared that the president has lost the support of his political base, the South-south and the South-East owing to the failure of his government to deliver on its promises. Photo: BOMBSHELL: “Pres. Jonathan Can’t Win In 2015″ – Dokubo AsariDokubo-Asari, at a press conference in Abuja on Friday, said that it would be tough for Jonathan to win the presidential election in 2015 if he decides to run based on the poor showing of his administration. He said that his decision to speak out was for him and others who are ardent supporters of Jonathan not to be blamed for his failure in 2015. He said: “I want to start with an Ijaw proverb, which says: the eyes watched its seven children to death. Instead of advising them, it was just looking at them until they died, while the mouth talked its only child to life and success. “We have continued as Ijaw people and the entire Niger Delta and South-South to support the presidency of President Goodluck Jonathan, but a time has come when silence cannot be golden. “We mainly speak out in issues that are very critical to the survival of our people, the survival of the people of the South-South and the South-East, which happens to be the political base of Goodluck Jonathan. “Jonathan is surrounded by very greedy people who are only in the Presidency to enrich themselves at the expense of Goodluck himself. Advertisement “This brings us to another Kalabari proverb, which says: where there are elders, a goat cannot be allowed to deliver tied to a stick. “If we don’t talk and we continue to brush it aside, tomorrow we will be blamed and people will say: Mujahid Dokubo-Asari was around when Goodlcuk Jonathan was president and he didn’t talk. “Them I will be an accomplice and accessory after the fact…. “It is alarming because the South-South must have its uninterrupted eight years tenure, which is constitutional. “But with how things are going under Jonathan’s watch, we are afraid that we may not be able to have our eight years tenure because there will be no magic about it if it is going to be one man one vote.” Dokubo-Asari said he will continue to speak out despite the fact that he had benefitted from Jonathan, adding that one of those causing trouble for the President remains the Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Chief Godsday Orubebe. He said: “I have benefited immensely from Goodluck Jonathan with my stake but benefit alone is not enough to make me to keep quiet when the period is very challenging for our people. “So, some of us are tempted to ask this question: why are all these things happening? “Why has the President allow some ministers like Godsday Orubebe to continue in government? “Everyday people die on the East-West Road. “If Orubebe is incompetent as he has shown himself to be, he should be removed. “Nobody voted for Orubebe. “And why is Orubebe so important to the President that he can’t remove him even in the face of his obvious incompetence and several allegation to corruption? “We feel very ashamed and embarrassed. “Orubebe was one of us. “He was attending meetings with us, sleeping in the ground with us, entering night bus with us and we nominated him to be appointed a minister. “We have gone to him and complained to him that we don’t like they way things are going in his ministry and told him that if the President leaves in 2015 without the completion of the East-West Road, we are finished. “And the man keeps telling us there is no money. “When IBB (former military President Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida) was there, there was money. “When Abacha was there, there was money. “When others were there, there was money. “How come the money disappeared when Jonathan got there? “Jonathan and orubebe will account for the death in the East-West Road.” On the face-off between Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo, Dokubo-Asari said there was no need for it. He said that no matter what Jonathan feels, he still remains a beneficiary of Obasanjo’s large heartedness. He said: “First, there was no need for Goodluck Jonathan to disagree with Olusegun Obasanjo. “I don’t like Obasanjo. “I don’t like his face. “I hate him. “But he was instrumental in bringing Goodluck Jonathan to power. “And the greedy people around Jonathan have not managed him enough to the extent that the President and people around him will allow Jonathan to disagree with Obasanjo openly “And if you check, all the people who supported Goodluck Jonathan and fought to bring him to power, have openly disagreed with him. “What was the cause of these disagreements? “These are the questions we want to put to the president. “Some people say Obasanjo is manipulating Goodluck Jonathan, that is why Jonathan is disagreeing with him and we ask: what has Goodluck Jonathan’s government achieved to show that it is a departure from other governments that have existed since 1956? “For us, nothing has changed. “It is still business as usual. “So what are the advice that Obasanjo gave to Jonathan that were so difficult for him to fulfill, that made him decide to fall out with Obasanjo? “Obasanjo was instrumental and manipulated the process that illegally removed Diepreye Alamieyeseigha as governor of Bayelsa State and installed Jonathan as governor, made him vice president, fought for him to become acting president and also fought for him to become president of Nigeria. “Apart from Obasanjo, there are so many people who supported Goodluck Jonathan, some have been pushed out by those who were not there to give him any support, while some others are trapped and they cannot talk. I have a feeling that Fulani man Buhari would have done more for Niger-delta than Jonathan has done so far Jonathan has done nothing for Niger Delta actually. It is getting more and more difficult to support him, the second niger bridge is another issue. Even his allies are denouncing him. What a shame! http://www.naij.com/53429.html?pk_campaign=ush Follow NAIJ.COM on Twitter! |

lilprinze:Don't worry, time will tell who the sponsor of Boko Haram are. Don't be in a rush, we all will be alive and healthy to see the evil that men do. |
lilprinze:Stupid comment. Has it not occur to you that it is your sitting government that is sponsoring the BH? Have you not seen all the link with Pastor Ayo, Asari, the slain Yusuf and the government. I pity people like you, because you guys cannot even take your time to dig deep into the facts. |
Kini eyan nwa lo si Colombia gan self? Going to Colombia is more of going there to import drug. Imagine Colombia talking where Niger dey, no be their fault, na our government I blame. |
nikpet2:...lol. You are right my brother, but do you believe some people will still continue shouting "Jonathan till 2029" because they are dump and stupid. Unfortunately, Nigeria is getting worse everyday. I traveled a lot within Nigeria because of the nature of my business, but Alas! there's no improvement whatsoever in most of the region and the masses continue to complain, even in the south-south where the President come from. |
I'm not surprised, once you see a man been surrounded by 3 witches.....there will always be a trouble. Jonathan been surrounded by Patience, Allison & Okojo-Iwenla..., it is most definitely nothing will work for him. He was a clueless man, he is a clueless man and he will continue to be clueless man. It's just so unfortunate that we should such a man to lead us. It's a dirty slap on all the intellectual in this country. |
"@Saintly_Life: God has never stopped being good, we've just stop being grateful." |
FKO81:Follow your heart my friend. Politics is not a do or die thing except here in Nigeria. We all are mature enough, and we do know what is good for us. Your decision is yours, while mine is with me. I'm taking my chances, I'm not going to continue giving one clueless leader, who thinks mere stealing is not a corruption, my mandate again. I wish you goodluck in your choices. |
ibnchokomah:Here are some, and please take your time, don't rush, and don't be bias too. nyabingi:Going through his records, and his past & present profile (which I will advice you to really take your time to research, sentiments apart). You will notice that Buhari is the same league with our late president Musa Yardua. Northerner or not, if you study both of them, they are the same product with the first Prime minister of Nigeria ( Tafa Balewa). Apart from maybe General Buhari could be a muslim extremist and probably the muslim/muslim ticket, I think the man is worthy to be giving a chance to rule us once again, having layed a good foundation during his tenure with Brigadier Tunde Idiagbon. If we have to be honest with ourselves, their leadership during that short period was indeed what every Nigerian dream of. We need people with good policy, well mannered, discipline, and truthfully to a level to rule us for a change. |
nyabingi:Any suggestion from you? Because, without a change in the government, it4 obvious that Nigeria will not be bearable for anyone from next year. I don't have any personal thing against Jonathan/PDP, but they honestly need to change the way they are taking things for granted. We need to move one as a nation like other country. We have to be honest with ourselves, there's no improvement of whatsoever in this country. The only improvement we've seen so far is paper & mouth improvement from the government. |
Hold on! Do we have 2 Amodu as a National coach in this country? I hope it is not the same Amodu, that enjoyed coming to the UK to eat with the likes of Mikel @ the Burger King before doing shopping for him to come back to Nigeria. How I wish NFF will continue with Keshi, because if Keshi is bad, then Amodu is the baddest. |
Sunbellar:my opinion & not yours, stupid! |
Sometimes I really wondered if people understand the word "CHANGE"? Who is talking about the north coming to power? Who is interested in just our president is from the south-south, and as such he must continue? Who is worried about if it either Buhari, Goodluck or Fashola? Who among the people doesn't reason that for a system to work well, you continuously need a change? Guys, just think about more of the developing countries, even with their comfort, they still agitate for a change, just a small change! & that is what makes politics even the system of government more interesting. Nigeria need a change, we all cannot be dummy. It doesn't matter if it is Labour party or APC or Accord party......all we need in fairness is a change from the ruling PDP party for a new parry to demonstrate their own agenda and idea. Situation whereby you find the same party been clinch to power even been desperate to let go off power, then it means there's a lot covered under the blanket. Let the people decides, whatsoever be the will and decision of the people should be respected. We all must agitate for a change. Changes is the only thing that make things better and interested. APC is for a change. |
All the PDP e-rats, una go work tired today, because the Fear of Buhari is the beginning of wisdom to all PDP members. Una don die finish today......lol. The truth has come, no more lie lie. No more women wrapper again. |
Buhari all the way, whatever means Jonathan like, let him try, for all I know, he's not going back to that Aso rock again. |

Word cannot explain how much I feel for this young soul's family, though, I don't hear much of him, but I prayed for his gentle soul to rest in peace. For the robbers, your days are numbered. |
Could be bitter but the truth. Don't pay to anyone until you see the goods physically and you satisfied with before you commit your cash oooo.....lol. Be it OLX or BLX or PDP, don't pay until you see the said goods. Be wise! |
