ogorwyne:As if you babes don't have your own rules too. Good news is men are more open about their own rules. But you babes ehn It's easy for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle than for a woman to open up about her dos and don'ts. |

We will break up… If you nag about everything and anything, we will break up. If you don’t like my friends and family members, we will break up. If you can’t have a strategic plan or meaningful ambition, we will break up. If all you do is flash and expect me to call back, we will break up. If you don’t call back after my missed calls, we will break up. If you rate your friends’ and pastor’s opinion higher than mine without a good reason, we will break up. If you talk to your friends instead of me when I offend you, we will break up. If you keep malice with me, we will break up. If you keep secrets from me, we will break up. If you can’t draw the line between friendship and dating with your friends, we will break up. If you are a remorseless, an unrepentant and a habitual liar, we will break up. If you always revenge and refuse to forgive when I offend you, we will break up. If you do not pray regularly, we will break up. If you are too religious, we will break up. If you are a party freak and have undue penchant for expensive jewelleries, we will break up. If you cheat on me, we will break up. If you mount pressure on me based on your religious beliefs and friends’ opinions we will break up. If you don’t engage in activities that can develop you positively, we will break up. If you can’t trust me, we will break up. If I send you a text message and you don’t have a good reason for not replying we will break up. If you get upset with me because I refuse to recognise Valentine’s Day, we will break up. If you are only nice to me when your birthday is approaching, we will break up. If you refuse to spend time with me alone, we will break up. If all you want from me is money and sex, we will break up. If you watch porn, we will break up. If you smoke cigarette or any weed, we will break up. If you drink too much, we will break up. If you have tattoos or decide to have one, we will break up. If you harbour any hatred for any of your family members, we will break up. If you go on a long distance trip without informing me, we will break up. If you are always on your phone when we’re alone together talking, we will break up. If you refuse to share your thoughts and plans with me, we will break up. All of these and more are reasons we will break up. We will break up because, you are my girlfriend, not my wife. However, I’ll always forgive when some of these are flouted out of mistake. But when done intentionally to hurt me without any remorse, WE WILL BREAK UP. You must note that I am bound too... Thank you. |
Rape-aXe condoms are designed to wear like tampons. The inner portion contains teeth. Once a penis enters into it, it gets stuck and only doctors can remove it. Girls can therefore get the time to escape. Dr. Sonnet Ehlers who worked with rape victims for four decades believes her product would discourage rapists Once the spikes containing condom gets hooked on, it creates terrible pain making the person even unable to walk. That may give time to the victim to escape easily.

The Lagos State House of Assembly on Tuesday summoned the General Manager of Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, Mr Bashir Braimah, to explain the persistent gridlock on Lagos roads. The call followed a motion moved by Mr Moshood Oshun (Lagos Mainland II) and seconded by Mr Yinka Ogundimu (APC-Agege II) under the matter of urgent public importance. The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the House blamed LASTMA for dereliction of duty which, they said, had resulted to “unbearable” gridlock on the state’s roads. Ogundimu said that the traffic situation had become worse because of the negative attitude of most drivers, bad roads and negligence of LASTMA officers. Mr Jude Idimogu (PDP-Oshodi-Isolo 2), said the gridlock was as a result of the deliberate action of LASTMA officers in reaction to the call for civility by the governor. “Many of the officers will be at the traffic prone areas, standing akimbo and be watching the situation unperturbed,” Idimogu said. Idimogu said his approach to some of the traffic officers without disclosing his identity showed that the traffic officers were embittered by the governor’s pronouncement on their being civil. Mr Tunde Braimoh, (APC-Kosofe II) alleged that LASTMA officers wanted to revolt against the good gesture of the governor because the call to be civil in their operations had affected their extortion. “Now that the governor came up with a modern way of enforcement, what the officers do now contradicts their ‘modus operandi’. “If there is need to drop all of them and recruit others, we have to do so, they cannot disregard the law of the House and the state,” Braimoh said. Mrs Funmilayo Tejuosho (APC-Mushin II) said, “I agree that we have some rotten officers in LASTMA which we have to weed out.” Tejuosho alleged that some of the officers extorted money so much that they follow offenders to ATM points to withdraw money for them without remitting same to government purse. Mr Segun Olulade (APC-Epe II) said, “transport situation has degenerated in the state because of lawlessness of drivers and LASTMA. “I have seen some sort of collaboration in sabotaging the governent. Some so called LASTMA disobey traffic laws,” Olulade said. According to him, the existing traffic laws passed by the Assembly must be complied with by all. He said that if there were problems in enforcing them, the LASTMA general manager should come for explanation. Source: Punch newspaper. |

Rapper J Cole proposed to his longtime girlfriend Melissa over six months ago. Melissa had already gone wedding dress shopping, only for J Cole to postpone the wedding indefinitely. A friend of Melissa stated that J Cole called off the wedding because he doesn't believe in marriage. "J Cole said that he doesn't believe in the Western institution of marriage. What kind of f*ck sh*t is that? I couldn't understand the nonsense."

The homeless man walking with that dog is the world's best and one of the richest footballers - Cristiano Ronaldo - but as he walked on the streets of Madrid over the weekend, nobody paid him any attention - because nobody knew it was him. He was disguised in fake beard, hair and fat suit. He took to the streets of Madrid and showed off some of his football skills. Occasionally, passers-by will stop to watch his impressive football skills, especially when he replicates Ronaldo's trade-mark step-overs, but no one knew it was Ronaldo himself. Then he reveals himself. What follows is sweet. Some people ignored him A few played with him Then this kid played with him He hi-fived him Ronaldo gave him a hug, picked up the ball and signed it. The boy looked at him like why is a tramp signing a ball for me? Lol Ronaldo peeled off his disguise And the boy melted The boy burst into tears of joy. By the way, where is Shekau? Will he be present for the dialogue? |
The Executive Secretary of the Center for Crisis Communication CCC, Air Commodore Yusuf Anas (rtd) says Boko Haram members have made contacts with the center to initiate dialogue with the federal government on how to stop their activities in Nigeria. This comes after President Buhari stated in a recent CNN interview that he's open for dialogue with the sect members.Air Comodore Anas said this during a press briefing in Abuja today August 4th. “The efforts by some members of the group to get across to the Centre and the discussions we have had, have been encouraging. We have taken measures also to ascertain the genuineness or otherwise of these persons. We believe they are ready for genuine dialogue. However, discussions are still ongoing and nothing concrete has been arrived at, but it is an opportunity to interact with what I call insiders in the Boko Haram group. Some prominent Nigerians have in recent times canvassed the idea of dialogue with the Boko Haram. The option of dialogue according to them, at the moment provides a leeway of not only safely rescuing the abducted Chibok School Girls alive but also possibly bringing to an end, the orgy of violence unleashed on innocent Nigerians by the group. Considering the unspeakable atrocities which the group has visited on Nigeria and Nigerians, this option is no doubt a hard sell. However, the recent statement of President Muhammadu Buhari on government’s readiness to negotiate with credible members of the sect has rekindled hope for dialogue. From discussions held so far, the members seem to be speaking on behalf of a cross section of the group. They expressed willingness to come forward to make certain proposals on behalf of other members of the group. If we pursue this line, I believe something positive will come out. The Centre however suggests that such dialogue should be done with every sense of caution and responsibility bearing in mind the previous disappointments that attended attempts at negotiations." He said. Source: http://lindaikeji..com/2015/08/boko-haram-initiates-moves-for-dialogue.html?utm_source=feedburner&utm_medium=feed&utm_campaign=Feed:+/OqshX+(Welcome+to+Linda+Ikeji's+Blog)&m=1 |

There was confusion on Bankole Street, Isheri-Oke, Lagos on Friday morning when residents woke up to the sight of a woman hanging on a tree. The woman, popularly called Kate in the area, was found dead in a black sweater and orange skirt under a pear tree. Our correspondent, who also visited the scene, gathered from the residents that the woman did not live on the street. Residents who spoke to our correspondent also said that the woman was a Liberian who worked in a sachet water factory before she died. While they said that the woman had been sickly for some time, the residents said she did not appear to have any problem with anyone in the community. Credits: Toyosi Ogunseye But after the outbreak of the Ebola disease that was brought to Nigeria by a Liberian diplomat, Patrick Sawyer, some of the people in the area opted not to have anything to do with her. One of the residents who pleaded anonymity said, “We see her in this neighbourhood every day. She always looked sick but people stopped selling to her after the Ebola outbreak. It could be because she was Liberian and looked sickly. This might have frustrated her.” Another resident who spoke to our correspondent after his request for anonymity was granted said, “She attended a church in the area and her church members still saw her yesterday. I used to see her every day in the dress she died in. She was sick and people in this area had avoided her, especially after the Ebola outbreak.” The PUNCH gathered from some landlords, who are members of the Isheri Oke Community Development Association, that the incident had been reported to the Isheri Police Division. Efforts to reach the Baale (head) of the area, Chief Albert Bankole, for comments proved abortive as he declined to speak to The PUNCH on the issue. The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Ngozi Braide, could not be reached for comments. Meanwhile, when our correspondent left the area around 11am, the woman’s body was still hanging on the pear tree. www.punchng.com/ |
I actually heard some of the officials of the WHO and the SUG officers were there to get full details of the issue. But I guess the health center is opened now. |
The first suspected case of Ebola Virus Disease is currently being investigated at the Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU). If the test results come out positive, it would be the first time in any part of the world that a case would be reported in a university. The patient, a female student reportedly confessed she had come in contact with the doctor that died of the disease in Port Harcourt. Report from Obafemi Awolowo university Health Centre revealed the female student walked into the emergency room in the evening of Monday September 8. She reportedly informed the doctor on duty that she had been in contact with the late doctor’s family about 2 weeks ago, adding she had been in contact with the doctor’s 3 month old baby. She presented with stooling and vomiting which had been on for over 3 days. Our confession caused a panic among the patients who fled after hearing the news. She was immediately taken and kept under watch in the center’s isolation ward. Swiftly, the community health unit was called upon to fumigate the entire health centre while arrangement is in top gear to transfer her to a treatment facility. HealthNewsNG.com would like to category state this is still a suspected case and has not been confirmed by appropriate authorities as such, caution should be exercised in the use and dissemination of this information. Information made available to HealthNewsNG.com this morning revealed the management of the OAU Teaching Hospital allegedly turned down the request for the patient to be transferred to the hospital to prevent infecting patients and staff at the hospital. Also, efforts are ongoing to identify individuals she had come in contact with. OAU is one of Nigeria’s major universities owned and managed by the federal government of Nigeria. The university has thousands of students from various parts of the country which means an outbreak could become widespread if someone with the disease is among the students. healthnewsng.com/first-suspected-case-ebola-investigation-obafemi-awolowo-university/ |
iwakolewa: I won't be surprised to later hear in the news that the deceased was part of the kidnap plot before things turned sour....young adults of this generation are just something elseYou got me nodding my head.., because the source said there was an argument that probably led to the murder. |
A 300 level Electrical Engineering student of the Covenant University, Otta in Ogun State, John Chinedu Okere, has been murdered and left in the pool of his blood by friends, who demanded for ransom from his parents. According to reports, Chinedu, 20, left home Wednesday morning, August 6, 2014, to a Hospital in Yaba, Lagos for medical reasons and never returned. He reportedly left home with about N6000 and that was the last time he was seen alive. The mysterious disappearance of Chinedu caused tension as the parents ran helter-skelter in search of him to no avail. They gathered from some family members that one of his friends called on phone earlier that morning to tell him to meet him at an undisclosed hotel. At about mid-day, the victim’s father, Jude Okere, received an SMS notifying him that Chinedu had been kidnapped. Later, he received a phone call from a hidden number demanding N10 million ransom for the release of his son. The caller allegedly threatened to kill the victim if the parents refused to comply as the line went dead. Chinedu’s father said “At about mid-day, I received an SMS that John had been kidnapped. Later, I received a phone call from a hidden number. The caller said they had my son, Chinedu and demanded N10 million as ransom threatening to kill him if we refuse to comply. Immediately, I inquired who the caller was, the line went dead. My wife and I quickly reported the case to the Divisional Police Station at Sabo, Yaba.” After the case was reported to the Police at Sabo, Yaba, it was later transferred to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad, SARS, Ikeja the next day where investigations commenced. It was learnt that initially when the whole issue started, the family of the victim felt it was a kidnap that would just be resolved but unfortunately, as events continued to unfold, it turned out to be a premeditated murder. Shockingly, the decomposed corpse of Chinedu was discovered in one of the rooms at ‘DE Homes Hotel’ located in Ejigbo by one of their staff, two days later. According to reports, the Manager of the hotel went to Ejigbo Divisional Police Station on Friday, 8, 2014, to report the case of murder and investigation began. A reliable source in the hotel told Vanguard that early Wednesday morning, the prime suspect, Okorocha Michael along with another young man simply identified as Okey, checked into the hotel with the name Christian. “He booked the room for three days with the name Christian. He claimed he was a youth corps member who wanted to write exams and would be there from that Wednesday to Friday. He also said he was expecting his Cousin to join him in the hotel. ‘After booking, Michael left his friend Okey in the hotel and returned an hour before the victim, Chinedu arrived the hotel, which was at about 3pm that day. As soon as Chinedu arrived the hotel, Michael took him to the room. We don’t know what happened inside the room. However, it was later gathered that during their stay in the room, the suspect reportedly confronted the victim on some personal issues. The confrontation eventually led to a heated argument, which later led to the suspect strangulating the victim to death. On Friday, a hotel staff discovered the lifeless body of the young man and alerted the police. The 24-year-old suspect, Okorocha Michael, who was arrested on Sunday, in a friend’s house around Ajah area in Lagos, is a graduate of Lagos City Polytechnic, Ikeja. He has been unemployed since he completed his youth service in February this year. The Lagos state Police Command is currently investigating the case. http://dailypost.ng/2014/08/23/covenant-university-student-kidnapped-murdered-friend-lagos/?utm_source=&utm_medium=twitter |
