David Oyelowo is hugely talented, first saw him some years back in the BBC drama Small Island and I've followed his career since. His theatre training does stand him out from other black males in Hollwood. The fact he was the first black actor to play a english king (Henry VI) does speak volumes, and his perfomance was critically acclaimed despite the initial uproar from the media.

He was terrific in Red Tails directed by George Lucas, but in my opinion his best perfomance was in The Paperboy...dude oozed class in that film. He's a sure bet for an oscar nomination in the not too distant future.

Apart from Denzel Washington, Forest Whitaker, Samuel L. Jackson and maybe Wesley Snipes in his heydays, the other African-american actors in Hollywood don't come close to the black British actors for me. Same applies to the whites cos the British and Australians are the leading men mostly.
