Sorry, no one can tell you this for certain. You can follow the options on page 1 post 6 if your application has taken a while. In the meantime are your passports valid or already expired? Have you been sent an ADR for renewal? As far as I know they will not finalise with expired or less than 6 months to expiry passports.

Long and short is; my medicals, eligibility and biometrics have all been completed as seen on the tracker. Please how long on average does background checks take to complete.

Probably safer to go with the earlier date(Feb 15).
You can also reach out to them via webform/call to confirm which date you should work with.
You think you can get it before March 15?

Hmmn….if by February 10th you’ve not resolved it yet, an LoE+ evidence of capture date and + efforts(emails etc) to get an earlier date so you can meet the deadline in the place holder.
Whenever you get the passport, you upload it via webform. Then call after a few days to confirm they got it.

Is there a way you can fast track it, perhaps pay extra money. Visit one of the NIS offices, etc.
When did u apply?
The fact they asked for intl passport is usually a sign a final decision is imminent.
Its in your section because you’re the PA.

Hello all, I am a bit confused and would be grateful if someone can help

IRCC has just requested I upload travel document/passport of my daughter within a month from today which is till feb 15. I had mentioned in the application that the baby’s passport will only be available in March as that is the capturing date. So I’m wondering why they’re asking again.


Secondly the request for upload came up on my section and not my daughters section, if you know what I mean.

Please can someone advise what to do here pls

You need to inform IRCC before it becomes an issue of misrepresentation. Use a web form to update them immediately. Good luck!

I'm assuming you're in the UK. UK banks don't usually give letters, i just uploaded my official bank statements and it was not even a high street bank like Barclays, na wise I dey use and i still got PR.

You can attach 6 months statement to the bank letter.

You are right that I should read and pass but you too should at least know a bit about where you are based in.

I learnt this in O'Level government many moons ago.

How does someone that lives in the UK not know this?

What's the point of going abroad if you are not willing to improve your basic literacy whilst there?

If you haven't gotten the police clearance certificate, you can contact me. I did mine few months ago and I'm in the UK too.

U will select oversea or diaspora
There is a finger print document u will download
Go to whs or tesco buy an ink pad
Do the finger print urself
And upload the doc back on possap website
Then after a week
Nigerian police will send ur downladable police clearance to you

So u dont need all these embassy stuff u mentiones

Yes..tried that couple of year ago they charged me £15 for the letter i took to police station for fingerprint then sent the fingerprint paper to my brother in Nigeria who then went to CID to get the CRC done and post it back to me. It was a long stressful thing, if you have somebody who can do it quicker for you in Nigeria then it will take less time

Yes, in Nigeria, the Police Character Certificate and Police Clearance Certificate/Criminal record are often used interchangeably, and they both generally serve the same purpose. Both documents are issued by the Nigerian Police Force to certify that an individual does not have a criminal record or has not been involved in any criminal activity.
