Kano Governor ‘Empowers’ 2,386 Women With 7,158 Goats, Claims Initiative Worth N2.3Billion

Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has empowered 2,386 women by distributing 7,158 goats as part of an economic empowerment initiative.

The distribution was carried out during the launch of the second phase of the Livestock Fattening Programme under the Kano Agro-Pastoral Development Project.

In a statement on Tuesday, the governor’s spokesperson, Sanusi Dawakin-Tofa, explained that the initiative is designed to promote livestock entrepreneurship among vulnerable groups by providing livestock to women across the state’s 44 local government areas.

According to the state government, each beneficiary will receive three goats.

He said that future phases of the programme will also see the distribution of 1,342 cows and 1,822 rams to women and youths in the state. Yusuf also emphasized his administration’s dedication to reducing poverty through innovative and inclusive programs, highlighting the initiative as a key effort to empower women and youths while promoting economic self-reliance. He urged beneficiaries to use the livestock responsibly, stressing accountability to ensure the program achieves its goals.

“This initiative is not merely about distributing livestock but creating a sustainable economic model that uplifts communities and reduces reliance on government assistance,” the governor stated.

This groundbreaking initiative, worth N2.3 billion, underscores the administration’s focus on sustainable development and empowering communities to drive economic growth from the grassroots.

“By integrating women and youth into the agricultural value chain, the program aims to enhance household income and reduce dependency on government aid.”

Trump directed US agencies to take emergency measures to reduce cost of living in the United States.

Tinubu directed Nigerian agency NNPC to immediately remove fuel subsidy to increase cost of living in Nigeria.

Trump is a leader. Tinubu is slave master. Not hard to know.

CareerCivil Servants Salary And Wages In Nigeria by BuharisBoy(op): 10:18am On Jan 15, 2025
An increase in the minimum wage and a general salary upward review are related but distinct concepts. A minimum wage increase sets a new baseline for the lowest wage legally payable to workers, often aimed at improving the earnings of those on the lowest income bracket. On the other hand, a salary upward review typically involves a broader assessment and adjustment of wages across various levels of employment, addressing the needs of workers earning above the minimum wage.

To illustrate, if the last minimum wage was 30,000 naira and it has now been increased to 70,000 naira, this represents a 133% increase. This is a substantial improvement for workers who were previously earning 30,000 naira or for new workers entering the workforce at the new minimum wage level. However, this increase primarily benefits those at the lowest end of the wage scale.

For workers already earning above the new minimum wage threshold of 70,000 naira, the situation is different. If these workers do not receive a proportional increase in their salaries, they might find that their purchasing power has diminished, especially in an economic context where the cost of living, including commodities and fuel, has risen by over 300%.

In such cases, a salary upward review becomes necessary to ensure that all workers, not just those earning the minimum wage, are fairly compensated. For instance, if the government increases the minimum wage by 133%, a similar percentage increase should be considered for other wage brackets to maintain equity and support the financial well-being of all workers. Merely increasing salaries by a flat rate, such as 40,000 naira across the board, does not adequately address the disparity, especially for those earning above 70,000 naira. This flat increment might translate to a mere 30%, 15%, or even less than 10% increase for higher earners, which is insufficient when juxtaposed with the significant inflation and rising costs of living.

Therefore, while the government's move to increase the minimum wage to 70,000 naira is commendable for uplifting the lowest earners, it may inadvertently neglect those who are already earning above this threshold. Without a concurrent review and substantial adjustment of the entire wage structure, these workers may continue to struggle financially, undermining the overall intent of wage increases.

In a democratic society with established civil rights and labor laws, it is essential that workers are not left to accept insufficient wages as a fait accompli but are compensated appropriately for their services. The government has a responsibility to ensure that salary adjustments keep pace with economic realities to protect the welfare of all workers, not just those at the minimum wage level.

PoliticsRe: Inflation: Organised Labour Pushes For Minimum Wage Increase In 2025 by BuharisBoy: 10:11pm On Jan 01, 2025
Why not implement an annual salary increase of 34% instead of limiting adjustments to just the minimum wage? How many workers actually earn only the minimum wage as their salary? Furthermore, what happened to the consequential adjustments to salaries? What became of the salary template prepared by the National Salaries, Incomes, and Wages Commission (NSIWC)?

Instead, workers are arbitrarily given a uniform increment of 40,000 naira across the board. Is this approach fair? Isn’t this a form of fraud? While 40,000 naira might seem significant for those earning below 100,000 naira, how impactful is it for those earning above 300,000 naira?

Additionally, how is it that civil service rules are violated at will? The purchasing power of civil servants is being eroded with impunity, and yet, no one seems to be addressing the issue. How can the country progress when the welfare and economic stability of its workforce are continually undermined?

It’s important to approach sensitive topics, such as political discussions, with respect and accuracy. If you are referring to claims or discussions about a public figure, it’s best to rely on verified sources and evidence. Political debates should be conducted thoughtfully, considering the impact of statements on public discourse.

Nigerian President, Tinubu Ranks Third Among World’s Most Corrupt Leaders – Report | Sahara Reporters https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19p6tYeqvC/?mibextid=oFDknk

A drug dealer, certificate forger and public Treasury looter, this is a character of Mr. President and you expect the country to move forward, actually the only thing that can thrive is criminality

The character of Mr. President paints a troubling picture. Allegedly involved in drug dealing, forgery of certificates, and looting the public treasury, such a leader's actions raise serious questions about the future of the nation. When a leader engages in criminal activities, it sets a dangerous precedent, eroding trust in governance and fostering a culture of corruption.

Instead of inspiring hope and progress, this kind of leadership only normalizes unethical behavior. It sends a message that criminality and impunity are acceptable pathways to power and success. This undermines institutions, destabilizes the economy, and discourages honest, hardworking citizens from striving for better.

Under such circumstances, expecting the country to move forward becomes unrealistic. The only thing likely to thrive is a culture of crime, dishonesty, and lawlessness. It is a sad reality when leadership, which should serve as a beacon of integrity and development, instead becomes synonymous with corruption and malpractice.

True progress requires visionary, ethical leadership committed to the welfare of its people. Without accountability and the rule of law, any attempts at development are futile. A nation led by questionable characters cannot achieve meaningful growth, as it lacks the moral foundation upon which to build a better future.

Flows001:
Mr. Man, get this straight!!

The BIBLE is COMPREHENSIVE ENOUGH, and YAHWEH who had sent his ONLY BEGOTTEN SON to die for the Sins of humanity, DID NOT NEED TO SEND ANY OTHER PROPHET AGAIN!!

Jesus Christ had completed the work of Salvation which granted humanity direct access to YAHWEH in prayer (reason why you hear Christians pray in "Jesus' name" ).

There was absolutely NO NEED FOR ANY PROPHETS, and even the disciples of JESUS CHRIST who even had the power to perform miracles were NEVER REFERRED TO AS PROPHETS!

Apostle PAUL who was one of the spiritual and prominent leader of the early church himself was NEVER a PROPHET!.

That was why the Bible in its last book, which is the book of REVELATION 22:18 says:

"I WARN everyone who hears the words of the PROPHECY of this book (BIBLE): If ANYONE ADDS anything to them, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book (BIBLE). And if anyone REMOVES ANY of the WORDS from this book (BIBLE) of PROPHECY, God will remove that person’s share in the tree of life and in the holy city that are described in this book (BIBLE)."

Also, in the book of GALATIANS 1:8, the Bible says:

"Let God’s curse fall on anyone, including us or EVEN AN ANGEL from heaven, who preaches a DIFFERENT KIND OF Gospel than the one we preached to you."

The two verses above clearly shows you that YAHWEH had perfected his plan and purpose for mankind. And any subsequent claim by ANYONE that he or she is sent from GOD should be seen as false, this was what JESUS told his disciples in the book of MATTHEW 7:15.

After all the above was done and already in existence, then more than 600years later, one ARAB man came with a claim that he got a so called revelation from one Allah without ANY SINGLE PROOF OF DIVINITY.
Take note that all the PROPHETS in the BIBLE got divine proofs from YAHWEH, they all PERFORMED MIRACLES, some healed the sick, some raised the dead, e.t.c, but this ARAB man came with such a despicable claim and started introducing strange and personal ideologies in the name of revelations from Allah. NO SINGLE MIRACLE WAS PERFORMED BY MUHAMMAD IN HIS ENTIRE LIFETIME. He couldn't even heal himself from the poison he ate in the meat given to him by a young JEWISH lady, a poison that eventually killed him slowly and painfully.

It is clear that YAHWEH in the BIBLE and the Allah that your Muhammad claimed gave him revelations are NOT THE SAME!!!

All the PROPHETS in the Bible served and worshipped YAHWEH, not your Arabian Allah, and none of them recited any prayer to any Allah, nor performed any of the religious rites in Islam, they were all JEWSSSSSS!! And there are still JEWS in our generation now, so that confirms that indeed, the BIBLICAL PROPHETS had no connection to your allah...

Take it or leave it
Just have a copy of Quran and rea h you may see guidance, have peace

You're a big fool for saying such nonsense!

Who wrote the stories about Jesus in your so called quran?

Did any of the writers or even your Muhammed meet or know Jesus, so how the hell did they get their senseless, made up, fake and twisted stories about him in the quran??

Islam is full of scam, imagine dragging a person from his original roots.

According to Islam and the quran, Jesus who was a born JEW was a Muslim (when there was absolutely NOTHING like Islam during his days, show us a single JEWISH Muslim today).

According to the Quran, all the JEWISH Prophets and Kings were Muslims (when most of them lived in an era that was thousands of years before the Arab paedophile was even born)

You expect SANE humans to believe in such a senseless book and religion filled with deceit, lies, more lies and additional lies?!

The simple conclusion, the ISAH in your quran was ARAB, not JEW.

Jesus Christ in the Bible was from NAZARETH, and a born JEW.

Your ISAH was not crucified, and he was a prophet of your allah.

Jesus Christ of Nazareth was crucified, he died, resurrected and ascended back into HEAVEN where he came from, and he was and still is the SON of YAHWEH and also a part of the TRINITY.

The opinion of ISLAM and the quran is IRRELEVANT!!!!!

TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT PEOPLE!
The Quran is not a story book or history book but a revelation from God the Almighty:
Who is the the allknower, the omnipresent and omnipotent.
All prophets from Adam, Noah, Abraham down to Moses and Jesus are Muslims ( Islam is believing in God Almighty and disbelief idolatry). These prophet worship God Almighty and not idols and hence they practice monotheism.
Islam is an abrahamic religion and not a new Faith.

Pls my friend reflect on this
IslamRe: Imam Defends Controversial Jesus Lekki Mosque Banner (Video) by BuharisBoy: 8:28pm On Dec 27, 2024
Flows001:
That's what you Muslims fail to understand.

JESUS CHRIST existed from the time of creation!!

He was with YAHWEH from the beginning of time as a part of the TRINITY!!

In the book of JOHN 1:1, the Bible says:

"In the beginning was the WORD (JESUS), and the WORD was with GOD, and the WORD WAS GOD"!!

It was already written hundreds of Years before Islam, so the opinion of Islam and Muslims is completely irrelevant
Muslim or Islamic perspective about Jesus Christ is the best, the purest and most authentic while the Jewish beliefs about Jesus is derogatory while Christian believes is blasphemous against God the Almighty. Go and reflect upon this my friend
