Firstly, m female. She doesnt need d registration card nd She doesn't necessarily need the slip. Just her reg no, d pin nd serial number( I.e d change of institution card),. Though, some centres might request for d previous slip because it will b submitted. To b on d safer side, she should either reprint her slip, or her result I.e using that 5 free checks. Then also buy d scratch card for change of institution/course and also e-facility card which is #1000. Once the change of institution has been effected, then she should go ahead and print her result using the e-facility card.

Point taken!
Joeself1:

Guy, you have to consider some factors too

Not everybody That applied for a course will score 200 and above
moreover after Jamb exams, some people will still do change of institution/course

For example,
Let's say 10000 candidates applied outrightly for medicine in Unilag......
There's a probability that not all of them would score 200 and above meaning those ones will have to do change of institution into universities that accept 180 plus, that's one

the other one is that some people might score low that they might think their scores might not give them medicine like unilorin who has already set their cut off for medicine at 240, and let's say the candidate scores like 222, such a candidate might consider doing change of course into less competitive one
Hereby the Number of applicants(10000) for that outright course has depreciated .
My point is now that checking of jamb statistics is good and on the other way is not reliable.....

Just follow your instinct, choose the course you can be sure of and make a plan B!!!!

micynute94:

Lol. Am the NL'der who thought it was wise to bring in statistics as a tool. I get what you are saying, but the fact is you still don't get it. The fact that most non naira landers would have stick to their course doesn't mean we have to(or we don't have to). Just as someone mentioned, that extra push goes a long way, it makes you set your priorities right. I thought i explained the reasons for the statistics. If you look at the way Nigeria institution admit candidates you will know then know how powerful it is I could give you a 1001 reasons why you should use it but the catch there is until you decide to really see what the tool is for, am sorry you will fail to see the bright side of it and nothing i say will change your mind.

Few days back, many nairalanders dint knw its possible to chk statistics(all tnx to d guy dt started it) xo tell me, wt were ppl plannin of before den? M quite sure no one had xo many courses on deir mind bt nw cos of statistics dey wanna knw more dan 5courses. Infact wat abt peepx dat dnt even hv an idea of statistics (non nairalanders) xo wt wud dey do? Dey stick to one course cos dey have no fear in dem( no idea dat thousands of peepx reg same course nd same sch) statistics dosnt determine courses 4 dem xo wt I feel is askin dosnt change anytin cos ten thousands of peepx out der will still do as dey wish
micynute94:

A little enlightenment if u don't mind.
Lets say you have three courses in your mind you want to study, knowing the statistics of those courses can help you in your decision. Since you know your level of intellect and reasoning, it's fair to say you can roughly calculate your performance and make a decision. e.g Chidi wants to study either Medicine, Pharmacy or Biochemistry. Lets say he's an average chap, knowing the statistics might make him select a less competitive course giving him an edge. So instead of applying for MBBS which he knows only 100 candidates will be chosen, he might go for biochemistry giving him a higher probability of gaining admission. He could still apply for MBBS but i doubt he will be chosen cos they r guys more brilliant than him vying for the admission. And what makes you think those brilliant peeps ain't prayerful too. So it all boils down to intellect (minus the runz things ). So it's not about God deciding your fate. It's about trying to gain an edge. Or will u tell me that out of 7000 ish candidates left out of gaining admission, some didn't pray abi.

Another thing is that even if u decide to go for that competitive course, you now know the challenge and the element of surprise is gone. Meaning it serves as a gentle reminder that you need study hard cos plenty are those vying for that admission you seeking and only few will be chosen.

In war, having a stick and knowing your enemy has a machine gun doesn't change your stick into a gun but it removes the element of surprise and that little knowledge can be factored into a strategy where you can gain the upper hand. I had rather know my enemy has a gun than getting into his range of shot then knowing how fvcked up i am. That my friend is the survival of fittest.

Sorry to bug in. Actually some schools den didn't have primary 6. In my primary school dose days, primary 1 uses book 2, ...,primary 5 uses book 6 so common entrance was written in pry 5. Mind u, I completed secondary school wen I was 15(turned 16 nov dz year) and some students in my class finished at d age of 14. Deir is no doubt in wt she said
thankyouJesus:

I am sorry for doubting you, I think you forgot the part where you wrote your "common entrance" (mock) in primary 5 and not 6 (you are very good academically). I am sorry once again. Good luck in your JAMB and POSTUTME.

U all are vry funny! Askin 4 statistics for different courses in different schools. Does it really matter. U r jus creatin fear nd anxiety 4 urselves! If 1million candidate reg 4 d same course as u nd in d same school, will dt make u change ur mind? Evry one is on his own. U are pickin d course 4 urself. So let God decide ur fate nd nt statistics..d best tin to do is to b prepared to face wateva challenge. Of course or were u expectin jus 100 candidates to reg ur course and school? Dat is y its a comPetition/survival of d fittest. Frm my perspective, I dnt tink knowin d statistics will change anytin cos it all depends on U!
