We are expanding our commercial team in Lagos and are hiring experienced sales representatives to sell one of our business-management software solutions to small and medium-sized businesses.

This role is for someone who has already done field sales and can work an assigned Lagos sales area with little supervision.

What you'll do
Work an assigned Lagos sales area, identifying suitable businesses and opening conversations with owners and managers.
Demonstrate the company's business-management software clearly and honestly.
Help customers you bring onboard get set up and complete their first useful actions in the product.
Follow up after setup and help customers resolve early issues or pass them to the right person.
Keep accurate records of conversations, demos, follow-ups, objections, and outcomes.
Work toward clear weekly activity and sales targets, and meet them consistently.
Share what is working in your area with the rest of the sales team.

Who we're looking for
You may be a good fit if you:

have at least 2 years of field-sales experience;
can point to sales you personally closed, and explain how you closed them;
are confident approaching business owners face-to-face without a warm introduction;
can communicate clearly in English and explain things simply;
know at least one Lagos commercial area well, or have genuine experience working around local businesses;
are comfortable learning and using mobile apps; and
can work independently in the field and report your activity accurately.

Helpful experience
Field-sales experience in POS or agency banking, consumer goods (FMCG), telecoms, microfinance, selling to other businesses or software is an advantage. We care more about demonstrated selling ability and integrity than a particular degree or job title.

Nigerian language skills in addition to English, including any of Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa depending on the sales area, are an advantage.

What we offer
₦250,000 per month fixed salary.
Plus sales commission on everything you sell, with no limit on how much you can earn.
Sales commission is a separate payment from your fixed salary. You earn both.
No daily office reporting requirement; this is a field role based around an assigned Lagos sales area.
Product training before you are expected to sell independently.
The opportunity to join the company's sales team and grow with it as it expands.
